OoC Note: You can join with whoever, and as many characters as you want. There's no set order of posting, unless of course your character is the one who has to do the whole truth or dare thing; but remember, if you take too long, we'll skip you. (You can still write people being there, viewing the game, even if they're not the ones being asked)
Rules:
1. The dares can occur anywhere around school campus. If the dare requires someone to leave the room, this will be started in a separate thread, which should be hyperlinked somewhere in this thread by doing this: [*url=link]text[*/url] (Minus the asterix) The thread can be started with anyone, since someone needs to follow to make sure the dare actually happens, so yes, someone has to watch people perform the dare. How many, is entirely up to you.
2. Dares can be anything. It can involve people both in the game, and those outside of it. However, if the dare involves someone outside of the game, and they're not interested in creating a thread, you could always "pretend" it happened. It still needs to be threaded out, but said person could be an NPC. Just remember to ask them to make sure it's OK.
3. When your character is asked, and replies (and of course, after fulfilling whatever they pick), it's their turn to ask someone else. Who to ask is entirely up to you -- just remember that the character has to actually be present in the thread.
4. If the player does not perform the dare, or if the group agrees that the player did not do the dare properly, or if the person is suspected of not being truthful, the player is penalized. Penalties are an important part of any truth or dare game. Because the excitement of the game is often light-hearted fun at others expense, much of the games magic is lost when you have dishonest players, or those who COMMIT to the game and then refuse to follow the rules. Penalties are the thing that encourage players to do dares, even when they really don't want to.
The person asking "truth or dare" gets to pick between... (and the person who is being asked has no choice but to do this. It's either that, or leave the game entirely): The player taking a shot of alcohol or remove a piece of clothing.* * *
Erika clapped her hands together as she looked over the student lounge. She figured that after the fire and the whole IMAC ordeal, everyone could use a breather. Everyone could use some fun. So, she had arranged for a truth or dare night where everyone was welcome. She had even put out flyers around the school to spread the word. She had talked to her friends and told them to tell all their friends as well. Some of them had even come early to help her set things up.
Looking around, she was fairly pleased with the setup. They had dimmed the lights, making the room look more cozy, and lit it up with a few lamps here and there; she had opted not to use candles, as she didn't exactly want to remind people of the fire. She had also put out lots of snacks and beverages, plastic cups and plates, enough to feed a group of people for an entire weekend.
The floor had been decorated with pillows, chairs, blankets and various seating arrangements, as the couches wouldn't hold as many people as Erika hoped would show up. She had put some nice music in the background and people had already started to show up, casually chatting among themselves.
Sitting down on the floor, Erika gestured for people to take a seat. "Okay, I'm sure most of you know the rules of truth or dare, but just in case, let me explain them... First, if you could all sit down in a circle, that would be great," she said as she waved her arms, gesturing for people to sit. She started explaining the rules (these can be found at the top of the thread), making sure that everyone was paying attention too, and understood what the game was all about. "If you're not ready to commit to this, I suggest you leave right away."
And it was also a nice distraction from the whole 'no longer being headmistress' bullshit.
And with that, Erika turned towards Frank "Sunny" Laffont with a smirk, "Truth or dare?"
