Considering the fact that Onnie mostly spent her time with Jack at the Academy, this was a completely change of scenery. Which was great for her, considering she absolutely enjoyed shopping trips but maybe not so much for Jack, which she had to beg and plead and get him to consider coming along with her. She figured he may have been hesitant seeing how she used the word "makeover" more times than she should have and for that she couldn't really blame him. Making someone over was quite an extreme way of putting it. Oneyka just really wanted to sprucen up her boyfriends wardrobe with a few new styles, have his hair professionally done, and even have him measured for a few suits, maybe even sent to the nearby spa afterwards.

That was it. Was that really so much? Maybe she could even pick up a purse or two for herself in the meanwhile. Not like she had a purse that was perfect for the winter weather here in America. It was such a shame that she had to go around in fall designed purses during the winter months.

Before opening her door, she paid the cab driver and then allowed herself get out while waiting for Jack. She zipped up her coat as her eyes glanced over the entrance of the mall. "Aren't you excited? You are going to feel amazing after we're done today and I think my favorite hair dresser is in today. I booked you a hair appointment before we do anything else. You'll love him. Ever since I arrived here, he has done wonders for my hair... He's the one who recommended me to go with the short look this winter with brown and blonde highlights and let me tell you, I've been getting compliments ever since." Even though she was a shifter and managed to change her hair to her liking. Either way, she was rambling on but then stopped short to hold her hand out for Jack...

Well, because she wanted to hold his.

There was some days when being able to manifest a clone at will paid off and made him glad that he was given the powers that he had. Not many but some days.

Case in point: Jack really enjoyed liked Onnie He really, really did –Even though that ominous “L” word loomed ominously in the distant in all it’s intimidating grandeur but Jack put that to the side for a moment- But a makeover? New hair? Clothes. Suits?! Yeah, no that wasn’t happening. I mean when you have a such a handsome face, he didn’t need to concentrate on boring things like clothes and hair. Honestly Jack didn’t care about any of that shit. Attire of choice? Whatever was on the ground. Hair. Messy was the new clean. What’s the big deal? It was his thing. His trademark so to speak and he liked it.

The problem was Oney was a stubborn person, It was impossible to argue with her in any way and she was insistent on playing dress up with him so she basically said “Were going to make you pretty. Deal with it.”

And dealing with it is exactly what Jack did. He didn’t want to do it, so he put the master plan together of swapping places with Jack two. He got the makeover and Jack could remain awesome forever more.

So while Jack was in the heart of the mall’s arcade smiling to himself, Jack two was in the middle of getting out of the cab clearly nervous and clearly out of his comfort zone but was trying to play the part trying to nod along with Oney’s words. It truth Jack two was just a little excited he had never been to the mall before “Mhhh, yeah I’m so excited…I can’t wait for the hair and the clothes and the…stuff” He nodded along but once Onnie grasped her hand. He jumped like a foot in the air as if he had an electric shock run through his body. He looked down at the hand as if unsure what she was doing.

Holding hands…So this is what it’s like. “So where are we going first…Ummm; Honey-Bunny?”

From the sight of her brilliant smile and excited mannerisms, you wouldn't have been able to tell that this little lady had been one of the most stubborn of them all. This time she didn't feel as if her stubborn ways was for a bad reason. She just wanted to be a good girlfriend and before working on her wardrobe for the new year and having a change in hairstyles, she felt as if she could do the same for Jack. And to think he had hardly showed signs of gratitude, which was okay. By the time she was through with him, she knew the gratitude would just come ten times over.

The funny part was, Jack hadn't complained at all during the ride to the mall. Even when she heard him get out of the cab, he didn't complain. Which was a good thing, she guessed but she was expecting some type of moaning and groaning. That part was always what made Onnie smile the most. "I'll just take your tone as so excited you're trying to hold it back."

When he took her hand, she hadn't really noticed the confusion and instead just started walking through the entrance of the mall alongside Jack. "We are going to the hairdresser at the east corner of the mall wh-" Oneyka stopped short with her words and her steps and just replayed what was said.

“So where are we going first…Ummm; Honey-Bunny?”

Turning slightly to face "Jack", she narrowed her eyes at him as she let go of his hand. "Where is he?" Since when on Earth did Jack One ever call her Honey-Bunny? Since when did they even exchange pet names? She couldn't believe it. She could NOT believe he would do the switch-a-roo on her and not even TRY to get Jack Two to do a better job in acting. The one day that she planned for them into having the best shopping trip, he goes and does this.

She scoffed as she shook her head, ready to tear Jack a new one. "This is unbelievable. Purely unbelievable. Where is he, hm? Is he here? Or is he still back at the Academy because he didn't find it necessary to join his girlfriend and actually enjoy a shopping trip together? Because apparently, you know, it couldn't possibly be THAT important. No, not at all. Why would it be." Clearly she was giving the wrong Jack the attitude and would have to apologize to him later. It wan't really his fault and if she knew Jack, she knew he made Jack Two go through with this.

See, this is why Jack two never had a girlfriend nor could particularly pass as Jack Mccarthy. Jack would never be seen dead referring to someone as “Honey-Bunny” or any lovey-dovey pet names like that, sure at a stretch he might call someone “Baby” but “Honey-Bunny?!” Never. He would rather die first before that happened. Jack two was too nice and too innocent to even begin to match Jack’s personality. 
This was a flaw that in his master plan that he had never considered.

He had begun to breath heavy now that he was supposed to “Play the role” but he had hoped that he managed to avoid detection at least for the moment He went to follow along with Oney….

…before Onnie turned back toward him and gave him her DEATH GLARE!

Bingo.

Without hesitation she grabbed Jack Two's hand and stormed into the mall. Had she been wearing heels today, her rage would have been heard which each click and clack, but seeing how she was completely casual, it just looked like a very angry girl fed up and dragging her boyfriend around. Not as threatening, but the fury was still seen in those brown eyes of hers. The only problem was, this wasn't her boyfriend she was dragging around. No, not at all. Actually her boyfriend felt as if playing video games at the Arcade was much more important than spending time with her.

No. There was no need to continue her rambling because he'd hear it soon enough. There it was. The Arcade, filled with video games and junk food galore. Some of the oldest and youngest of men spent their time here at the mall in order to get away from having to carry around shopping bags. Oh! And wait, there was a female walking into the Arcade. Would you look at that. Sadly, she wasn't here for the video games. She pulled Jack Two along until she stopped right next to Jack, her actual boyfriend. Before she said anything, she dug into her purse and pulled out a 100 dollar bill and handed it off to Jack Two. "Here. Get yourself something or go see a movie." She flashed him a soft smile, almost upset that he had to be in the middle of this.

Oneyka then reached out and grabbed a very strong hold on his ear in an attempt to pull him out of the Arcade. Once they were out of the Arcade, she let him go. Only to look up at Jack with her brows furrowed with a pout. "You are unbelievable." Had been said in a more British accent, seeing how her powers seemed to act up most when she was upset. Angry wouldn't exactly explain how she was feeling, but disappointment might. Though, she didn't say much of anything yet because she expected him to explain himself and then hit him with the "You're still going through with this" afterwards.

For the entire time that Onney dragged her across the mall Jack two kept his head toward facing his eyes not daring to look at Onnie eyes for even a moment such was the sheer mass of his shame like a child being caught doing something he shouldn’t. He was dreading what was to come next, he hated fighting and he hated raised voices even more so then fighting and if somehow he got in the middle of it he might just be a victim of a panic attack and almost certainly he would have broken down right there and then, he was emotionally fragile being. Hell, he was the personification of emotion. Of course he was prone to getting a tad dramatic at times. Fun Fact about Jack: He hated arguing, just couldn’t abide it and there was a small part of him that wanted to run and cry went ever he had someone scream in his face, his mouth was his defence mechanism. A scared animal biting back but Jack two had no such mechanism . Hence why he just crumbled into pieces.

And he kept his head down the closer and closer they got to the arcade he was more and more down he felt so you can imagine how relieved he felt when Onnie gave her money and smiled at him. The relief that washed over him was pauplable as he smiled brightly at Oney, expressing his gratitude wordlessly before running to the hills wanting to get out of the splash zone.

Jack of course being Jack barely noticed that Onnie has entered the room. He was in the midst of furiously playing pacman and he was in what you would call “The zone” his eyes focused pulling and pushing the controller in every possible direction. He was in a intense mode to say the least so when he sense the presence of someone else in his company Jack impatiently waved only off not waiting a moment before taking his eyes off the screen. “Yeah, Yeah, I’m a little busy right now. I have pacman fever and the only cure is ironically beating this game. I’ll talk to you later Onnie” and Jack continued his gaming. You could almost see the gears move in his head as the self satisfied smile that was plastered on his face slowly began to die as he began to figure out who exactly he was talking to.

….Shit…

Jack turned away from the game at last with a more sheepish expression on his face rubbing the back of his head clearly more then a little caught out in his bullshit “Ummm, Hey! I don't know about you but this is the weirdest hairdressers I’ve ever been in. Crazy right?”

Before Jack could say other word Jack was grabbed via the ear and hurled out of the room to the general amusement of everyone watching “Owie, Owie, Owie. Oh God you’re strong when you’re angry Owie, Owie.” Jack couldn’t to moan as he was dragged out. Once he was let go and rubbed the ear hoping that the throbbing would die down soon. And oh dear. She was using her angry voice. That was never a good sign. “Ok, call this a hunch but I think you’re focusing on the wrong thing here really: I mean I just scored the high score on that machine: So yay I guess. Let’s not ruin that moment with getting bogged down in details” Yeeeahhh Jack was in trouble and he knew it “…You’re going to hit aren’t you?”

Oneyka was more than happy that Jack Two had taken the money and ran off, not willing to stay and watch what would happen next. Had Jack took even two seconds to blame his duplicate for doing a bad job, she was going to be sure to rip him a new one in front of all of these people. God only knew the verbal abuse that duplicate received and she wouldn't have any of it. Now however, she had more pressing matters to attend to; Like the tall Irish boy who had the nerve to brush her away at the arcade as if she was some sort of... nobody.

And he knew darn well this wasn't a hairdresser.

"Yeah? You're lucky I don't use that strength to tear your ear completely off that hard head of yours!" And then he had the nerve to stand here and TELL HER that his high score was the important thing here. No, not the fact that he thought he would succeed in dodging her for the day, but the fact that his high score on that stupid machine was more important. Had this been his best friend, she was sure he wouldn't have done the same thing.

Oneyka simply looked up at him. If they were going to get through this day without Jack laying in a casket, she was going to have to calm down. "No because I'm sure being here with me today must be punishment enough. Oh and also, your high score can go TO hell, and that machine right there? The one that you were so focused on just now, yeah? It'll be the only thing that you'll be tapping for the next couple of days. So hows that for getting getting bogged down in details?"

Glancing around, she took a deep breath. Being a brat right now wasn't going to help. "We're already late for your appointment, we should get going."

He would have gladly yelled at Jack two for letting the cat out of the bag and revealing not only where Jack was hiding out but also for revealing who he really was so easily, in a way it was harsh for Jack to force his normally nervous duplication in such a high pressure situation of course he was going to crumble into a million pieces when Onnie put even the lightest pressure on him. It wasn’t his fault. He just couldn’t handle the pressure and nor was he bred to.

And besides it wasn’t like Jack himself was totally flawless in his part of his show called “Master plan” himself. After all going to the arcade where Onnie was planning on taking him. (IE the exact same mall) Wasn’t exactly the work of a super genius. Seriously he could have picked any other place besides the one he did pick to hide out to avoid Onnie’s makeover.

Needless to say he didn’t exactly think that part through or any part to be honest.

“Hey leave my ear out of this. He didn’t do anything at all! You might say my ear is neither ‘ear nor there” Jack paused for a moment his face totally blank as a silence most awkward indeed “Ok, clearly it’s too soon for jokes…”

Jack was starting to feel just the smallest bit guilty now. He didn’t want to hurt Onnie far from it. Being around her made him so happy and flattered that someone like her would want to be around someone like him he just…well, he just did things some times. Stupid shit that he does without thinking on impulse. He couldn’t help it, it just happened to him naturally like someone suffering from a nervous impulse or tick.
"
Jack was agasped! “Pacman is the sport of kings I’ll have you know! Right next buck-a-ro and mouse trap” He said pressing his hand against his heart as if deeply pained.” Jack whined just a little when Onnie revealed Jack’s punishment and shook his head back and forward “Ok, that’s fair but there’s no need to punish yourself too. Also I just want t point out that angry voice? Kind of hot...Just sayin'
He’ll give it a few days…

“Ok, can you at least tell me why I need a hair cut” I mean. Hello?” Jack said gesturing to his eternally messing hair “it’s called windswept and interesting I invented it…”

When Jack had the nerve to put those words together to make that grotesque joke... or pun, Oneyka lifted her head slightly as she studied his face. Not too sure if she he deserved a smack to the side of his head four seconds ago, now, or at a later date. "You think?" Just like him to not realize things only until after he opened his mouth. They hadn't been together as long as you'd think, so sometimes it was difficult to not get upset over the things Jack did. It was even more challenging to not take it to heart, or to not take it personal when it came to him.

Oneyka just couldn't help but to feel as if he really didn't want to be there with her, even though she did sort of force this to happen. She was kind of bossy, always wanting to take matters into her own hands without asking sometimes and a bit too strong for her own good and people wondered why guys didn't want to date or deal with her for so long before meeting Jack. Well here you have it, this was why.

Oh please. She wasn't buying any of it and she was sure that he knew that. Pacman was hardly anything but flashing lights and responsive movement in order to make some sort of entertainment, and Onnie was pretty sure that she had no idea what Buck-A-Ro and Mouse Trap were but they sounded as if they were in the same boat. "I don't care about the sport of kin-" Oneyka stopped to scoff as she chuckled, as if what he said was completely unheard of. "Punish myself?" No but really, he was right, she probably wouldn't last a week. That's what happens when you date someone you find extremely attractive, you lose pieces of the self-control you had when single.

She narrowed her eyes at him when planted the word "hot" on her. "Don't." If he was attempting to flatter her at a time like this, he could save it. Her eyes relaxed as she glanced up at his hair. "While the natural texture and color of your hair is quite amazing considering the fact that you don't use hair products and you tend to skip showers. From seeing your ends and the length of it, I can tell you haven't gotten it professionally trimmed and washed in a long time, if ever." Okay, so Oneyka had a thing about paying attention to the details of personal features. It was a bad habit but when you were a human shapeshifter, you kind of needed to know these things.

Or you just became obsessive over it.

She turned and started heading towards the hair salon, and if Jack knew better, he'd be following. "Besides, it'll feel good, you need it and you'll have a greater chance of me running my fingers through your hair..." Slightly smirking at the last part.

Click! As Onnie was talking a thought he had never truly considered before hit him like a lighting bolt “Oh hey!” Jack said suddenly exclaiming clapping his hands together “I just figured something out, this kind of sort of technically our first official date isn’t it?” Jack said flailing his arms back to and fro “Well, unless you count that feast where that scary woman gave us the mental date rape drug…Probably I’m still not 99% certain of that. But ANYWAY. First date.” Jack said nodding tilting his head just a little as he walked beside Onnie clicking his tongue against the roof of his month “Huh, never been on a DATE-Date before…never really had a relationship before. A day of firsts, I love it!”

Ok, no he didn’t not all of it anyway. Getting this “makeover” did not seem fun at all, in fact the general idea of it bored him somewhat. What the hell did he need to get a makeover for? Did Onnie see something in him that he himself didn’t? That seemed to be a common trait for him and the people he was surrounded by. But then again who the hell knows what Onnie saw in Jack in the first place. There was certainly something going on in her brain that Jack wasn’t aware of.

“It’s a gift really” Jack shrugged in fake modesty “I have theory that if I shake my head vigorously it’ll release magic glitter that could cure diabetes…Ok admittedly that’s just a theory I’m working on, but still…” Jack raised an eyebrow at the detailed description of his hair “Could you do the same thing with my butt? Now that’ll be impression”

And just like that with that little comment certainly aroused Jack’s intrigue. What can he say? He was a petty guy and his opinion of something could change within a blink of an eye. So Jack was more then happy to tag along “Well I do like to be petted…, sometimes my leg kicks like a dog”

She listened, almost sure that he would bring up something out of the blue, if not completely unrelated to the task at hand. To her surprise he hadn't. Rolling her eyes, she scoffed. "Would you stop calling it a mental date rape drug." She pouted slightly as they continued on, "I feel violated when you refer to it as such." The thought of it being a date was a bit weird to Oneyka. As far as she been alive, dates back home usually consisted of being forced into a date with one of her dad's colleague's sons who were far too over their head for her liking. She had no care to obsess over dinners at five star restaurants. This was... different, and it was kind of cute. "I've been on dates, just never took part in relationships until now, of course." And for good reasons too. "Good to know my boyfriend tried to evade me on our first date. A great feeling." Giving Jack that look and a half smile, to let him know she wouldn't forget.

Pressing her lips together, she chuckled. Had this been a few months back, she'd be taken off by the question but as for right now, she couldn't help but to humor him. "Despite your lack in physical activities, your butt is quite firm, small and shaped fitting your tall structure. Which is also two point five shades lighter than the rest of your body, considering the fact that you, my dear, have quite the milky tone." She grinned, and only because that had to be one of her favorite parts about him; His skin.

Oh yeah, and his butt.

Oneyka turned to face him as she walked backwards into the hair salon. "Yeah. I know. You even tend to kick like a dog when you have weird dreams. Believe it or not, I'm the one who so happens to get bruised from it." Lifting her brows as she eyed Jack before turning around with the usual greeting.

"Oneyka dear! It's only been a month. Are you here for your color treatment already?" A male hairstylist made from his current hair assignment to her for a warm hug that she gratefully returned. "Simon, a pleasure as always. No, I'm actually not here for me. I'm here for Jack, my boyfriend. Remember? The appointment I booked with you? Those ends of his need a bit of a magical touch. He'll also need something to bring more of a definition from the brunette tones as well as the full works. Oh, and something he'll be able to wake up without having to worry too much about every morning. He's not one for styling his hair. Maybe a bit more off the sides and back, styled at the top?" The hairstylist then soon patted the empty chair at the washing station, "Say no more darling." Oneyka soon nudged Jack right after. "Go on, go. I'll hold your jacket."

“Well, what you call it then?” Jack asked legit curious as to how Onnie would describe what happened to them on that ever so faithful night in October “Assuming of course that, that woman really did do some crazy Jedi mind trick type shit on us. There’s still the theory of you were some attracted to me you couldn’t help flinging yourself at my hot spicy body and hey!” Jack said holding up his hands in the air “I’m not judging. I mean you were drunk and drawn in by my sheer raw natural charisma” he said bobbing his head back and forward as he spoke airily his hands in his pockets as he walked.

He would imagine that Oney had a fair amount of gentleman callers back in her homeland, Jack’s mind conjured up images of a parade of handsome immaculately well dressed handsome fancy men effortlessly charming and witty whining and dining her. Having intelligent conversations about stock exchanges and politics and other things adults talk about.

But he stopped where he stood for a moment and watched on in awe as Onnie quite possibly gave the most detailed description of a butt in human recorded history. For a moment Jack could only stand there in stunned silence “That..” Jack send wiping a single tear from his eyes “That was beautiful..Poetry” and he meant it not bothering to ask how long she stared at his butt to know such detail

“Oh yeah, I know all about that!” Jack said waving her off “This one time I video taped myself sleeping because I wanted to know if I got any good ideas while I sleep. It’s amazing how dog like I get. Kicking, whining. I think I growled at one point”

Jack hung back shifting his foot back and forward clearly not in his area of comfort, was this what these places looked like, Jack would have thought they would be full to the brim of hair and gook. But Jack had slowly sat down a little unsure of himself looking down at the chair before lowering himself down “So, you’re Doctor Frankenstein yeah? OH! What does this thing do!"  Jack said leaning forward examining various gells with childlike intrigue

She narrowed her eyes while looking away, "Anything but that." Sure, maybe he was one to be blunt about a situation but the last thing she needed was to be reminded that someone had to manipulate them to "get together". It wasn't even like Oneyka to sleep with anyone so fast... so easy. Yeah sure, it ended them up together but what if it hadn't? She'd feel completely foolish, if not a little... dirty. Then he had the absolute nerve to bring back the subject of how attracted to him she had been, as if he wasn't also the one eye molesting her in that dress that night. Onnie glared at him, "Natural charisma... right." She didn't even want to mention how he just drowned her with compliments the day she trapped him in the janitor's closet. Apparently he wasn't the only one with "natural charisma".

She heard him stop but at the time kept walking as she shook her head, with a chuckle, "You are absolutely silly, you know that right?" As a human shapeshifter, it was just one of those things that you tend to notice about people.

That and he didn't need to know how long she really did stare at his butt.

For some reason she wasn't too surprised that he slept the way he did. It seemed as if there was just no peace when it came to him. During the day, Jack was everywhere, doing too much and at night in his sleep... still doing too much. Which is why she almost dreaded sleeping in the same bed as his at times. She'd get no sleep.

At the salon, Oneyka had sat in one of the waiting chairs as she let Simon work his magic. It would be rude of her to leave Simon with Jack but he had done children's hair before, she was sure he would be able to deal with Jack of all people; Maybe. Ah well, time to play a fashion app game.

Almost confused at his behavior, the hairdresser connected a hair salon cape around the boy and connected it at the back of his neck so he didn't get hair or water of the sorts on his clothing. He then tapped at Jack's shoulder as he smiled. "You'll see once it gets to that hair of yours, now sit and lean all the way back into the chair." The moment the boy did so, he started the water, checked the temperature and quickly went to work with various high definition shampoos and conditioners, which had only taken about five to seven minutes. After he was done, he grabbed two towels and quickly went away at his hair with towel drying. He tapped the boy on the shoulders once more and pointed to the other salon chair. "Up, up."

He had already been warned by the young Oneyka of how much her boyfriend had the tendency of chatting away, if not trying to touch everything. So he was going to have to work fast with those scissors, among other things.

“…And handsome, don’t forget handsome” Jack smiled at Oney his mouth lopsided just a little as they walked forward ever so calmly “Handsome and Silly. I can live with that” He shrugged as they walked forward, to be honest even if Onnie had meant that as some kind of insult Jack would have had the same response to Onnie’s words displaying Jack’s old optimistic air. After all being silly had to be a lot more fun then being super serious surely

Jack looked up at the hairdressing with a fair amount of bemusement lean back in his chair? Why should he? Cutting hair was surely not an extant science. How hard can giving people the old snip snip? Jack could probably do if he wanted to

Or if Onnie didn’t ban him from using scissors…

“God you know what this reminds me of?” Jack started making small talk as he cut his hair “This one time I went to the dentist yeah? And he told me to lean back and next think I know he’s coming at me with a drill and I’m just like “Fuckkk that shit” Anyway long story short I’m legally obligated to tell you that I’m a biter. So you know, no sudden movements would be sensible”

Through the entire session Jack kept laughing hysterically all the way through out as the shampoo went through his hair and the towel rubbing through his hair (And yes his leg was kicking)

“Oh cool were playing musical chairs now!” Jack said happily getting on his feet

Having to fight the urge of rolling her eyes and sighing as hard as she possibly could, she ended up doing such actions mentally. Without her help, Jack's head was already the size of a blimp. Adding on to that with compliments and agreeing to his handsome nature would only do more harm than good at this point.

By now she was flipping through the pages of one of her favorite magazines; Vogue. Even though it was seldom, only the greatest supermodels graced those covers and rarely had it ever been a Black woman or man. Not like she'd be able to be among those few but a girl could always dream, right? At least it was good to know that Spring Fashion of 2015 was right around the corner. Which only meant lighter colors and dreamier weather.

As she turned the page, she could hear Jack talking away. She was sure Simon wouldn't have been bothered, he was used to it. Maybe not from people like Jack, but close enough. Though, she wasn't sure if he'd be ran off by her boyfriend's need to laugh throughout the hair process. It sounded like a little kid getting his hair styled for the first time.

She would surely leave a tip.

"Do you think you can possibly refrain from making a game out of a simple task and allowing the nice man to do his job?" She said towards Jack from her seat, with a slight smirk on her face. Now she felt like a mother hoping that her kid would sit still and keep quiet just for a few minutes. "Don't worry about it, Dear. We don't have much longer to go and Jack here is much more lively than a lot of my other clients. Most of them are as dead as a doorknob. Literally, they're ancient." He chuckled and stood behind the chair, set up his blow dryer, combs and such as he waited for Jack to take his seat.
