This area was becoming far too familiar to Savannah. She didn't like seeing the same places over and over again and she didn't like being surrounded by people that couldn't stop drinking every night. It was too much for her, it all reminded her too much of her father. It was okay for an every now and then situation, but it brought up memories and it stirred her curiosity, but bills were bills and they had to be paid. It had to be done, and sometimes the people weren't so bad, but there were times, like this night, where her spirits were crushed and it tested her powers.
She stood in the club district, trying to decide if now was a good time to go home or if she wanted to linger in this area and get a drink. Or maybe just spend some time in the night air. She preferred the night to the day time. It was cooler now and it made her feel more at home. This was a good time for her. The day time was great, but her mood was typically improved during the evening, mostly because this was when the temperature was cooler. There was less work for her to do to perform her powers and it just felt more like home. She'd always loved living in Florida, but she'd also always hated the heat of it.
The breeze whipped by her hair; she pulled her sweater over her black v-neck and smiled. She sat on a bench outside of work and pulled her purse to her. After rummaging around all of the useless girl things she just had to carry with her, she found her package of cigarettes, her lighter wedged in the side. She pulled one out along with the lighter and wedged it between her lips, cupping the lighter with her hand in the hopes of keeping the flame from going out. Despite her best efforts, it did keep going out. "Dammit." She really needed a zippo. Her frustration was escalating which didn't help. She could feel her skin getting a couple of degrees colder. Feeling defeated, she stopped trying.
