Elsa sighed as she walked into the Headmaster's Office. she knew that it wouldn't be the "Headmaster's" office for much longer. One way or the other, that master was being changed into a mistress. The only discussion now was whether or not there would be two of them, and Elsa already had to gather paperwork and such for that ever so delightful meeting.
which explained why she was in there, not why someone else was.
"So," said Elsa, pausing and crossing her arms, looking across the room, "are you going to claim that you were anticipating my need and checking the room for bomb or whatnot, or are we going to skip to the honesty portion of the conversation, where you tell me why exactly you're in the office of the most important person at this school," Elsa didn't mention that said person happened to be either her or her sister or technically both, not now. She couldn't quite recall whether she'd informed Roxana of that particular development.
For now, Elsa stood still, her brows raised, looking at Roxana in a semi-challenging, semi-amused manner, her lips twitching ever so slightly. It did always entertain her when she found Roxana doing something all "uptight" and "assassin" like, and yes, she was well aware of how odd a combination that was.

Roxana had been in the Headmaster's Office, searching around for a few things in specific that she needed. She waited until the office was clear and she had an easy access to the room before breaking in. She was dressed in her normal odd fashion, well less odd today, minus the fact that she was wearing gloves to not leave any finger prints behind. She was wearing a normal pair of black skinny jeans, black sneakers, a long sleeve grey shirt, and a black vest. She was moving through the room silently, going to check the cameras that she had put in a while back around the time she first came to the school. One of them was broken and she was here to replace it and of course the main thing of location a few documents. She figured she had plenty of time to get all of that done, the Headmaster was not supposed to be returning to the room any time soon. Plus she had been hearing some 'chatter' about things relating the Headmaster and his two twin girls.
Roxana did at least get the chance to hide when she heard someone coming close to the office, figuring they were passing. They were not. They entered the room and while Roxana was running thought what she might have to do in order to get out of this without any trouble if she happened to be detected; all plans were dashed when she heard the voice. It could have belonged to either Elsa or Erika but Roxana knew without a shadow of a doubt that it was Elsa because of the tone of voice and the fact that Elsa could hear her thoughts. She stepped out of where she had been hiding next to a filing cabinet, looking at Elsa who basically gave her two choices, both of which had Roxana starting to smile a little. She had to admit that if she was going to get caught by anyone she would rather it be this Bellefonte who found her and called her out on what she was doing. Roxana could lay, but she knew that was pointless to do when Elsa would more than likely peek in her head. That didn't mean that she had to tell the whole truth.
"You always take the fun out of me coming up with a good lie." Roxana said with a sigh, but was still smiling a little as she went to remove her gloves. "I was just looking for some files. Specifically on the amount of money the school has, another look at the student and staff roster, as well as something on you." Roxana said, leaving out stuff about the camera and details on why she needed to look up those specific folders. Roxana did her best to keep her thoughts on describing the room so Elsa would have to work to get a hold of anything while they were on this topic. "You look very nice today by the way. How are you doing?" Roxana complemented Elsa, followed by the question she was always going to ask the girl even if she always expected to get a lie in return.

Elsa smiled as Roxana insisted that she took all the fun away. People had been saying that for years, most with a good deal more conviction than Roxana expressed at the moment. Elsa took a few steps further in, moving to sit easily in one of the stuffed armchairs near the desk. She crossed her legs and got settled while Roxana explained. Looking for files, details on the money and the roster... and Elsa could almost hear the ellipses that followed. she raised her brows as she realized that Roxana's thoughts purposefully started focusing on the room.
"You do realize that whenever you try those mental tricks I know something's up?" Elsa pointed out, dismissing the compliment and the question as the important bits of noise that they were. "Which instantly makes me more suspicious instead of less. You probably should've just mentioned, say, the bit about money and such and left off the me part. There's nothing here on me, by the way,' she waved her hand. Elsa often threw out bits like that, as Roxana knew full well. She hadn't, for example, told the girl that nearly every other bit of information she directly asked about happened to be there.
Elsa did start quite purposefully poking at Roxana's thoughts, obviously attempting to "click" on why the other girl was actually there. No need for subtlety between friends, especially when one of you was a mind-reader.

There was a smile there, one that made Roxana smile just a little bit at the fact that Elsa seemed to smile a lot more around her. It didn’t matter if the smile was real, because Elsa was amused, or whatever didn't really matter. It was still a smile and it just made Roxana feel like maybe there was still hope to get Elsa to open up with her even more. Roxana's eye didn't leave Elsa as the other girl walked in and took a seat, making herself comfortable. Roxana half expected Elsa to take a seat in the Headmaster's chair but said nothing of it as she went to slip back on her gloves. Elsa didn't seem like she planned on stopping Roxana from what she was doing, so she went back to it. Going over one of the file cabinets and starting to look through the roster of new students that had yet to be added to the system. Roxana's small smile turned into a smirk at Elsa pointing out that when she used the mental tricks it just caused Elsa to feel suspicious.
"Well I figure you of all people should know that when a question is asked, the brain automatically gathers the answer, bringing it to the surface. If i don't think about something else then all the answer would be right there for the picking." Roxana said as she looked through the folders, leaving out the whole fact that the real answers would only be there for a split second. Good liars knew how to make sure to keep the real answers under lock and key pretty quickly. Roxana was a good liar, but with a mind reader, it didn't matter how good you were when the other person could just break insides you thoughts. "Maybe one say when you actually are honest to me about how you are doing, I might be honest and tell you what I'm really doing." Roxana said as she looked to Elsa and gave her a small smile. She figured that would be a fair trade off, honest for honesty. Trust for trust.
Roxana put the folders away and moved over to the headmaster’s desk, running her gloves fingers over it for a moment, staring at it. Studying it for any hidden compartments and focusing more on the task then the actual details of the task in case Elsa was inside her head. Rox figuring that Elsa was already in there, since Elsa apparently could not stay out of her head. "There was a picture of you in here." Roxana pointed out as she lifted up the framed picture of the Bellefonte kids on it. Roxana only pointing it out because Elsa said there was nothing in here on her, but the other girl did not know what it was that Roxana was seeking so to say there was nothing was not accurate since that photo could have been what Roxana wanted.

Elsa sat for a few moments, watching Roxana. She still hovered, just shy of actually prying, despite the increasing urge to do precisely that. Roxana thought about lying, which was actually possible with thoughts. Difficult, but not impossible; in fact, it was sometimes easier to do then actually laying tracks or attempting to outright block Elsa from a mind. The thought that Roxana might do it unnerved Elsa, but she kept her expression mostly neutral.
Until Roxana showed her the photo. Elsa knew it was there: she recognized it and everything. Only made sense that her grandfather would have pictures of all his grandchidren and such, especially given that said children were here and were worthy of note. Each grandchild had been dressed, posed, and framed, all looking perfect and neat, as was to be expected.
"You wanted a picture of me?" asked Elsa. She smirked, then dug her phone out. "You only needed to ask." Without waiting any further, Elsa tossed her hair; she pointed the phone at herself, and the tell-tale winding click sounded from it. Then Elsa punched a few buttons, and Roxana would soon feel the indication that she'd received a message. "There you go: picture of Elsa right in your phone. I'm sure you can use that for your personal files. You could even assign it as my profile on your phone," Elsa showed her own, before aiming, obviously intending to take one of Roxana, "assuming that you've got a halfway decent phone, that is."

Roxana was good at lying in her head as well as lying through her teeth, but she was not planning on doing that. Not yet. She didn't feel Elsa inside her head just yet and she felt thinking about other things was working out pretty well. Plus there was not anything that was super hidden about why Roxana was looking for what she was looking for. There were certain parts of course, and she was keeping away from thinking about such thing. Still focusing on describing details of the object she was dealing with as she knelt down for a moment and picked up something that was under the desk, looking over it. It could have been put there on purpose to hide it or simple just feel under the desk. Reading it revealed nothing important so Roxana put it back where she found it just like she was doing with everything that she pulled out of place to look at.
The photo was nice, whoever took it had a good eye and it was interesting to see all of the Bellefonte siblings together. Roxana kept track of all of them, but most of the time the siblings didn't really hang out with one another, at least not a lot. Elsa and Erika did, but they were twins so that was sort of to be expected, but still overall she never really saw all the siblings together around the school. Roxana didn't even get the chance to respond when Elsa asked if she wanted a picture of her. Roxana was not going to turn it down, but she had plenty of photos and even video of the other girl. Came with the job and she had a very nice camera and phone that allowed her to get some really nice shots and video captures of all of her targets. Roxana's train of through was broken as Elsa tossed her hair, Roxana's eyes locked on how Elsa's hair fell into place. It was very appealing to the eye and Roxana had the urge to draw that moment that Elsa just captured with her cell phone.
Her phone vibrated in her back pockets since there was no way she would have it on to make sound when she was 'working'. "Thanks..." Roxana said with a small hint of confusion over what all just happened. No it was not that she didn't understand what just happened but she was confused on something else. Something her mind hesitated to think on as she looked at the photo now on her phone and went to assign it as Elsa's contact photo. Elsa had a pretty nice phone, but that quickly was pushed assigned when Elsa looked like she was about to take a photo of Roxana. Rox moving away for a moment before hesitating and staying still. She had her photo taken before; it was not something that was odd so maybe it was just because Elsa was the one taking it. They were friends however so having a picture of one another for their contacts were normal.
"My phone is top of the line. Connects to cameras, can unlock most wireless lock systems, and it can't be tracks or traced." Roxana said with a pleased smile on her face as she talked about her phone. It was very important and she would not let a single person get their hands on it. She did have two of the same exact phones, one for the casual things that required a phone like having a friend’s number in it, but then she had her work phone that could do even more and was specifically for work for the organization.

Always fun to catch people off-guard and make them wonder what was going on. Elsa smiled at Roxana's confusion, practically feeding off it. She clicked her own photo, pausing only for a moment to note how very uptight Roxana looked even in a photo. Then again, the other girl pretty well always looked like that, so Elsa really wasn't overly surprised. She clicked the photo and tucked away her phone.
No, much more surprising, and interesting, was Roxana's claim regarding her phone. Top o the line, connects to systems, and it likely had satellite uplink, given everything else. In short, it was the type of phone given to high quality agents, which told Elsa even more about the organization. In fact, it added yet more to what she already knew, and what she knew was enough to pique her curiosity to an extent of engaging in research. She had contacts; she'd work to find something out.
"So were you attempting to hack into our computers with a phone?" asked Elsa, her voice light, obviously teasing, though her raised brows probably indicated that as much as her phone. She tapped her fingers along her chair. "Normally I'd say that was possible, though Grandfather's computer is hopelessly out of date. I'm not even sure it's wired. I'm having the various tech mutants come in and update everything, and given that their mutations are tech based, well, I pity anyone trying to hack."
Elsa paused for a moment, tapping her fingers against the chair before looking back up at Roxana. "Was there some information in particular you were looking for? I've quite a bit of access, and given the move, things are rather fluid. Easy enough to transfer a few files without anyone being the wiser."
Yes, Elsa certainly liked to keep people off balance.

Elsa might have seen it as something to be enjoyed, but Roxana was not enjoying being caught off guard and wondering what was going on. Those were two very bad feelings for someone in her line of work to have. She needed to know what was going on, always be on her guard, and ready for whatever could happen next. Yet with Elsa she was always being thrown a curve ball of sorts. It was like Elsa knew that Roxana was starting to figure her out so she would drop something else in there that Roxana had not fully figured out yet that would leave Roxana wondering. Wondering right now if she was really dealing with Elsa. Was this Elsa, was this Erika, or was this someone with the power to appear as others? Roxana was moving closer towards the other girl as she put her phone away, her eyes trained and locked on Elsa. Looking her over and taking in the details that helped her know for sure that it was Elsa. This was Elsa without a shadow of a doubt, but it was still...slightly troubling that Elsa kept being able to get the 'jump' on her.
Roxana was proud of her phone and did not concern herself with Elsa figuring out more about the company she worked for. Roxana knew that with Elsa having people they would only still be able to get so far. Far could be finding out a lot, but with the risk of death or being captured for whoever she had on the job was there. Roxana's company lived firmly with the whole 'i you are asking too many questions you are a problem' and 'if you are getting answers to said questions you are a problem'. Problems were killed, tortured, or other things that Roxana didn't care to think about. So long as whoever Elsa had on a possibly task did not bring up Roxana herself, then Rox really did not care. Her job was protecting and monitoring Elsa and a few others, not people that worked for Elsa. There was the question then if Roxana had been here to hack the computer with her phone. A question that Roxana could answer honestly. "No." Roxana responded simply, but that did not mean that she had not tried before on the grandfathers computer and several others.
With a few of the computers it was difficult because of what Elsa said; those geeks with powers over technology. They made hacking difficulty for someone like Roxana's whose power didn't revolve around it. She did manage to get in a few times; manually, but each time she would never be able to keep the connection long since when the techies would go in to fix the computers her efforts would be lost again. Besides, her phone could not hack, it was more so for disarming alarms in a home, a car, and getting into a car with an automatic lock if she was using its wireless breaking system on it. "Good to hear that you have things planned out to better protect the information of the students." Roxana said, speaking honestly even if it would make her job a little more difficulty it was still good that Elsa was doing such a thing. There was a pause then, finger tapping, and then another question that caught Roxana off guard again.
The bodyguard remained standing in front of Elsa, looking at the other girl closely again as one of her hands formed a crystal dagger again. Feeling the need for a weapon in her hand, but she had gloves on so that didn't work to well at the moment. "What is your angle Elsa?" Roxana asked, moving closer to get real close and personal with Elsa. When you were really close and in someone’s personal space it helped you read them a little better as they typically would be uncomfortable and not as concentered with covering up things and if they did, you could see the hesitations better. "Do you want to give me information in exchange that I work for you? Or is this information for information?" Roxana asked, her eyes trained on Elsa still as she tried to figure out herself what it was Elsa wanted.

Elsa took the "no" at face value. She had picked up the general stream of thoughts leading to it, of course, but she mostly believed because she didn't see any reason for Roxana to lie to her. They'd built up a rapport, something dangerously close to a relationship of some kind. No reason to toss that away. Plus, well, Elsa actually felt the truth in those words.
Just like she felt the truth and appreciation that came from her plans. Elsa had been floating a few by Roxana, for reasons that she'd actually shared... for the most part. She raised her brows at what followed though, as Roxana tensed, thought about weaponry, and actually drew closer. Elsa lifted her head to meet the other girl's gaze, her eyebrows raised to convey just how very silly she found the posturing. They'd done that at their first meeting, and Elsa figured it was more or less behind them.
"It's simple: if I know what you want and looked for, then I don't have to be overly concerned. It's in my best interest to make sure that we're still on good terms, especially if my upcoming plan meets with certain approval," she tapped her fingers again. "And if it does, your going to find that you'll have a good deal more access than you had anyway, so giving you some now is more of a taste. and no," she looked up at Roxana, "I'm not speaking of your 'officially' moving over to work for me. I'm not stupid enough to think that a little information will sway you. I'm not even going to reiterate the offer, though bringing it up technically does that." Elsa smiled at that, hinting quite strongly that Roxana had been the one to bring it up, which clearly meant that it was still on the other girl's mind.

Roxana didn’t really have the need to lie to Elsa about anything…well at least not with many things. There were still things that she would keep hidden from Elsa and not be honest with if she was told, but that was just because she had to at the moment. She could not just open up and tell Elsa everything, plus she doubted some parts of being honest would even be important to Elsa. Elsa probably only cared about things that involved Roxana’s work and maybe a few things on Roxana herself. Still, Roxana knew that so long as Elsa was not going to tell her about how she was doing and be honest about it, that she was never going to tell the other girl everything. That was just how it worked for her; she needed more honesty from Elsa if she was going to give it back. Even if the two of them had come a long way compared to their first meeting with all of their little threats.
Roxana missed the threats, Elsa was taking out the fun of the threats and lying, but at the same time pointing them out was pretty interesting and fun in its own way. Elsa has shared things with Roxana so yes Roxana would share things back with the other female in the room, but still the both probably had things they would keep from one another for the time being. It was almost as if they both were testing one another and fully figuring out if they could say this or if this was actually needed to be said. Elsa met Roxana’s gaze, the two looking into one another’s eyes and Roxana seeing the eyebrow raise in the other girl. Elsa explained and stated just how simple it all was with Roxana listening closely and paying attention to Elsa’s face and eyes as she spoke. Elsa did make a lot of sense and had good logical points that Roxana saw as beneficial as well. If they both knew what each other wanted then there would be less room for concern.
The only problem was that Roxana was not fully sure what the other girl wanted from her besides for her to work for her. Was that really all there was to it? There had to be something else behind it other than just wanting someone she could trust to not stab her in the back…or was it really as simple as just wanting that? Roxana was about to say something, but Elsa pointed out that it was not doing it for the chance to get Roxana to work for her. Not being a stupid girl and daydreaming that a little bit of information would get Roxana working for her. There was that smile and that hint that just had Roxana looking away for a moment, thinking. Then she stepped back and leaned on the headmaster’s desk, still keeping an eye on Elsa. “I see. Well I did bring up that you wanted to work for me and I should be getting some information back on that. Are you sure there is nothing else that you are seeking from me Elsa?” Roxana asked, really wanting to know, to be sure, and in the loop.
She had a feeling her employers would say yes that she could work for Elsa on the condition that she still sort of worked for them. Plus working for Elsa would give her more access to keep an eye on her other targets and still get the work of the organization done. It really was a win-win.

Simple? Needing someone to trust, someone who was an ally if not a friend, was considered simple? Elsa nearly shook her head to that, and she almost laughed as she was fairly certain that Roxana had gotten things messed up: Elsa didn't want to work for anyone, save for the sole possibility of working under her sister, and they'd already all but agreed to work as equals, assuming that they could mange that.
"You know I always have several reasons for doing anything," said Elsa, gesturing toward Roxana. "I could lay all my cards on the table, and you'd still be convinced I had a few hiding up my sleeve. Having someone I can trust isn't something simple: it's a major decision. Considering where I'm going and what I'm going to be doing, it's of great benefit to have a few people whom I can trust and who I can rely upon to do things. I've been testing people and looking for possible candidates long before my grandfather became too ill to run things.
"I'm not stupid enough to think I can do this all on my own. I fully intend to get people I can trust, people who will listen to me, but who are also willing to argue against me if it comes to it. That's what works: everyone knows it. I go for what works, not what makes us happy or what's going to give me the most power or all that crap. So yes, that is it. I frankly don't care if you end up working for me or not: I've already figured that you're too valuable to discard, and I intend to make certain that you want to help me.
"So yes: I will give you information, so long as I'm not putting the school or anyone in it at risk. Which is a rather pointless condition, as your goal is protection, which is practically the same goal as myself," she smiled then, leaning back in her chair and templing her fingers. Yes, yes she could certainly see herself going all "Magneto" as her sister proclaimed. If that's what it took to do what needed doing, she'd be right there at the forefront.

Alright, so it was not outright simple in terms of what it actually took to trust someone, but the concept was a simple one if you thought about it. Elsa needed someone she could trust with her while she would move into the next stages of her life. A simple concept but again with actually finding someone you could trust on different levels took a lot out of the person giving the trust and the one being trusted. Roxana did sort of get things messed up, but overall she was feeling like she was missing something and out of the loop. Once Elsa started to speak on it, explain it, it was all starting to make sense. Funny how that had not yet clicked in her mind, but just added to the proof that she was not the perfect bodyguard yet. She still had work to do, she had to try harder, and pay closer attention to what was and want not being said when she was interacting with someone. Especially when that someone was Elsa Bellefonte who seemed to get things well past her age.
Roxana gave a mental nod at Elsa words about how even if she told Roxana everything, that Roxana would still think she was hiding something. It was in Roxana's job description to basically never trust someone fully, to expect that there was always more to something, and to be ready for anything. Elsa had all good points, many of which were some that an adult would not even think up until after having to deal with a few problems here and there. Being young and establishing so relationships with those that were useful was very smart. It was a little unnerving the more Elsa spoke about things, Roxana really feeling that her organization needed to grab a hold of Elsa while they could. She really would do well in their line of worked, not the body guarding perhaps but in general. Elsa had been testing people long before her grandfather got ill. "Indeed." Roxana tossed in there at Elsa's words about how she was not stupid. Elsa knew that she needed allies to do what it was she had in mind. To achieve her goals.
Roxana was not really surprised to hear any of this from Elsa; she knew fully well that Elsa was very capable for someone her age. She did handle the whole SPECTRE things after all, but it was slightly concerning. If Elsa decided to do harm over good at any moment, she would be a force to be reckoned with. Roxana was too valuable to Elsa to just toss away and Elsa even said words that did cause Roxana to start to wonder and even give a puzzled look. She intended for Roxana to want to help her. "How do you intend to make me want to help you?" Roxana asked as she removed her gloves, not wanting them to be in the way. A hand reaching up into her own hair to play with it a little bit. She waited, feeling conflicted again, but a different kind of conflicted as she looked at the other girl. Roxana looked away for a moment before her eyes went back to Elsa.
"You know, you are the first person that I have ever looked after that I feel some form of fear from." Roxana admitted and her fear was only because Elsa was a not just some run of the meal teenager and she was basically the same age as Roxana but didn't even have the training that Roxana had. It was...scary in a way for the youngest of the Strix to deal with someone like this. Did the organization know such a feeling would happen to Roxana, or did they feel the same way about Elsa the way that they felt about Roxana? That she was just a child with great potential but nothing to be concerned with.
Post by Elsa Bellefonte on Aug 9, 2014 22:29:11 GMT -6
Yes, Elsa had been testing people for ages. It was part of who she was, and she could hardly stop now. That Roxana knew it wasn't surprising: again, the girl was remarkably observant and intelligent, which were both traits that made Elsa want to keep an even closer tab on the young woman. Even if Roxana did continue to act relatively suspicious.
"The usual ways, mostly," replied Elsa airily when Roxana asked. She kept her gaze on Roxana carefully, waiting patiently. The compliment, and Elsa took it that way, which followed drew a wide smile on the Bellefonte's lips. "I do have a tendency to unnerve people. It's a gift."
She said the last dryly. They both knew that her power was only part of it, that a lot of projected aura was simply the result of years of hard work and practice. she tapped her fingers against the chair again, still considering Roxana closely. Nice to know that she unnerved someone so well trained; she'd always wondered what would happen if she went against someone like that. "You're hardly a child, by the way," she said, addressing thoughts without a care, "and anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool," she gestured dismissively, casting away who knows how many opinions.
"now," Elsa templed her fingers, "what was it that you really wanted to find out? For all you know, I'd be perfectly willing to share it anyway." She just had to hear first to know for certain.

Roxana was probably going to appear as suspicious to Elsa, since she pretty much appeared that way too many people. If you smiled too much you were suspicious. If you smiled too little; like in Roxana's case, then you were suspicious. Too much of anything and the 'vibe' you gave all played into the fact of someone looking suspicious. It was good that people were suspicious of her, that made her seem like a threat; which she was, but it was good for those to feel like she was without knowing much about her. Not knowing much about her also played into just the overall suspiciousness of someone, but Roxana expected all of this. She herself even saw Elsa suspicious from time to time...a lot of the times. Especially now when Elsa was offering up information and planning on making Roxana want to help her. Even Elsa's response to Roxana's question on the matter of how Elsa would make her want to help was giving in a way that made Roxana still suspicious.
"There are a lot of ways. I would like specifics, unless you have multiple ways in mind." Roxana said, still feeling a little uneasy at not knowing what Elsa had planned. You could not tell her you were going to make her want to do something and not tell her how you were actually going to pull that off. It made her feel like she was trapped in some cage and had been told they would make her love being in that cage. The mind would just wondering, think all sorts of thoughts ranging from bad to inhumane and her training was causing her to wonder what Elsa would do to get Roxana to want to help. It was still a compliment so it was a good thing that Elsa took it that way. Not many people could make Roxana feel this way that were in her age group and nor did she ever feel this way with dealing with untrained adults.
"A dangerous gift if you unnerve someone for too long. People have a habit of wanting to get rid of things they perceive as a threat because they start to panic and wonder if they are going to be offed first." Roxana pointed out with a small smirk and watched Elsa to see how the other girl took those words. Her smirk did go away and she gave Elsa a look as the other girl pointed out that she was not a child and that anyone who said otherwise was a fool. Roxana was just going to leave that out of her report for sure. Roxana was a child, that was what she was told, and that was what she was until she proved otherwise. "If you keep skimming my thoughts like that Elsa, you might come across something you don't want to know one of these days." Roxana said in a casual tone, with no real feeling behind it as she moved back to the other side of the desk to go back to her looking. Stopping when Elsa asked again what it was that Roxana wanted to know.
So Elsa was being serious about all of that then. "Well as I said earlier when you asked what I was doing in here. I need an updated list of all the students and staff, the total amount of money the school currently has, and something on you. That something being information on how you even found out where the SPECTRE base is." Roxana said, speaking the truth in terms of what information she was here to get. She knew Elsa had been talking with someone to help find her sister but she had been busy with other things and the organization was really interested in figuring out how Elsa Bellefonte found SPECTRE, trying to blame it on Roxana for giving such classified information away, but she assured them over the phone many times that she did not provide such information.

Elsa shrugged off comments regarding her demeanor. She'd heard it all before: how unnerving people could backfire, how she'd end up lonely, how people would consider her a threat. All the standard, and all what Elsa herself had already concluded. When Roxana got to the part about skimming thoughts, Elsa just half-smiled, raising her brows. People always thought that, but Elsa had long since learned to take thoughts as they came. People sometimes thought something in a moment that they didn't mean. It all felt like Roxana stalling, or possibly trying to nudge the scales a little more toward balanced. Good luck with that.
At last, Roxana got down to what she needed. Elsa nodded, walking around to the other side of the desk. She soon got out a computer that looked as though it had been ripped from a political thriller. A few flicks of Elsa's fingers and it came to life, as silent as ever. "I can get you the updated list easily enough. It varies on an almost daily basis, but I can grant you access to our mainframe database. That should provide you with everything you need to know. As far as money goes; even I don't know the answer to that. Our accountant placed large sums of money in various slush funds and investment plans and buried them rather deep. SPECTRE got to her before we could, and her journals almost read as though they were written by a sociopath."
Elsa paused then, staring at the screen as it loaded. What should she say regarding the last bit? How she found the base? Wasn't that obvious? They had students with the correct powers to get them precisely where they needed to go. Elsa tapped her finger against the computer, hesitating as she wondered what precisely Roxana was actually asking there. Was that the "something on Elsa?"
"I hired a tracker who I happen to know," she said, looking up at Roxana. "He traced my sister to their headquarters using his ability. He's quite good, actually. Goes by Christopher O'Conner, though his brogue is thicker than an old time play, so good luck understanding a word he says."
And Elsa hadn't told Chris about how she'd known her sister was in trouble. All very need to know, and she didn't quite trust Chris that much.
