Technically, what Beau attempted now could very easily be classified as "crazy," all things considered. Normally guys did not encourage their girls to head out at dusk for, well, fishing. Beau had all the proper gear for it too: tackle, two poles, a bucket. He clearly intended to actually do some fishing, and he just as clearly intended Liz to go along with him. Of course, he had planned a contingency, just in case. He was hoping it wouldn't come to that, because he really thought that Liz might enjoy this.
"You've been fishin' before, right?" he asked, looking over at his girlfriend and cocking a brow. He'd actually be surprised to hear that she hadn't. From what he knew of Liz, her background hadn't been that different from his own: big family, rough and tumble, and all. "I'm jus' wonderin' if I need to worry 'bout baitin' the hook for you or whatever."
He smiled a lazy smile at her, adding a quick wink as he shouldered the rest of his gear. It wouldn't take more than a few more minutes to hit their fishing spot, where the setting sun would hit the water just right, the fish jumping and biting. Beau practically bounced with each step. some fishing, and then, well, likely his contingency. Was it a contingency if you fully intended on doing it regardless of what happened?
Probably. Beau wasn't great at the whole word thing.

Rubbing her eyes and yawning after the day they had both had, Elizabeth chuckled sleepily and nodded. "Probably." She yawned as she slowly started to lean into Beau.
"I will make that bait my bitch, sir." She chuckled as she followed Beau down to the spot. "Man, today had been wild." She chuckled. It hadn't been that wild. She just ended up doing a lot of activities and running around, which was the reason why they were there in the first place.
Seeing Beau so perky made her laugh. "You're cute when you're excited, you know that right?"

"Good," said Beau, nodding. "Figured this sorta thing would be right up your alley." Actually, that had been less "figured" and more "hoped he didn't screw up horribly. He raised his arm up to wipe at his forehead, feeling a bit of sweat gather there. It wasn't horribly hot, but his body temperature always ratcheted up a few more degrees around Liz.
"Tell me 'bout it," he said, lowering the arm and nodding. He'd mostly spent some time with various friends, enjoying the outdoors and doing, well, things that Beau often did with his spare time. Swimming, fishing, boating, it was all Beau's idea of a great time. "Wait, you mean I ain't cute the rest of the time? Gonna have to work on that."
He added a roguish wink, shifting his load of stuff as he plowed forward. "Ain't got much longer till we hit the water. Figure we should be able to get a few while the bitin's good. Don't know if we can keep 'em though, but I got my license... somewhere in here," he looked down at the shorts, with their multitude of pockets and his tackle box. Yeah, he definitely had the license in there... somewhere. Now if only he could remember where. Oh well, he wouldn't need it unless someone found them.

Her smile softened as she realised that some part of Beau knew her well enough to 'figure' this was something she would like to do. Although really, as long as they were outdoors when the sun wasn't at it's peak, she was good. She liked being active.
"No, you're not cute the rest of the time." She shook her head solemnly before nodding at his idea to work on it. "You really should." She gave up the act and laughed, jumping a little to peck him on the cheek.
She squinted a little to see ahead and chuckled at his statement about licenses. Leave it to Beau... "Sucks though. Would have liked cooking it. Dad once caught this huge sea bass and then we ate after. I was like ten or eleven at the time and I thought that was the most exciting thing that could happen." She laughed.

Beau chuckled and leaned over to kiss Liz as she complimented him again. He nearly bumped against her, and thankfully turned at just the right minute to let her kiss him instead. Soon he was looking back ahead, nodding about licenses and such.
"Well, we could probly still cook some if we wanted," he said with a slightly rakish grin. "Jus' a matter o' not gettin' caught, or workin' somethin' out with the staff if we do. I don't reckon Mr. Legrange or Ms. Sulik will be too riled if we bring in some fresh fish. 'sides, I thought I saw Legrange with some tackle."
Though that could've been just about everything. He smiled at her, chuckling. Soon they'd hit the water, and sure enough, the sun danced across it. More promisingly: the water skipped and hopped, the sign of bugs and hungry fishes doing their thing all over. Beau grinned just looking at it, already excitedly setting up his various gear and setting stuff down. Why, he even forgot about Liz for a few seconds there.
"They're bitin' like crazy," he said, looking back at her, his eyes shining. "We're gonna reel 'em in like nobody's business!"

The surprise kiss surprised her more than it should have surprised Beau but she really liked it anyway. She only tapped his chest lightly for it.
"Really? Awesome." She grinned, getting a little more pumped. The thought of food always got her excited. The mention of their teachers had her scanning the area for them only to be distracted by the sight Beau pointed out.
"Whoa!" She grinned as she let him set things up. She was so damn glad she brought her sketchbook with her. It was practically embedded in her backpack by now. And her camera! She forgot about that!
She settled down and unzipped her bag, rummaging through it until she brought her camera out. "Okay, we're gonna have to take a picture together first. C'mere, loverboy." Elizabeth pulled Beau by wrapping an arm around his neck and snapping away. At some point, she decided to plant a kiss on his lips while still snapping away.

Beau grinned at the awesome, his own excitement feeding of hers into something of a loop. He almost didn't notice her digging in her bag though, considering that he'd been getting out the fishing gear and whatnot. When she pulled the camera out, he rolled his eyes at first.
"You do know that they ain't gonna be bitin' forever," he pointed out, pointing behind him at the fish, as if she couldn't tell what he meant. Complaint or not, he still walked up to Liz, wrapping an arm around her waist to match. Soon that grin of his had been pointed toward a camera that clicked away. Lips met lips at some point; Beau wasn't sure who was to "blame" there.
He did know who broke it up first though. "Alright, alright, we can get some more pictures after we catch some fish," he insisted, actually pulling away from Liz, if somewhat reluctantly. If she made him choose, Beau would, of course, pick her and just make out on the bank. But the best thing about her was that she wouldn't, and he was definitely sure of that. Sure enough to actually look at the water with that childlike eagerness again.

"Yeah yeah yeah." She grumbled playfully before enjoying clicking away at her camera.
Pouting when he moved away, Elizabeth let him continue to set up the gear. "Where be the chum bucket, matey?" She asked as she plopped down on the bank, grabbing a fishing pole and doing her best to remember what her dad taught her to do.

Beau nodded as Liz put away her camera, though he also inwardly sighed with relief. Soon he was digging about to pull out his bait container: one of those horrible for the environment Styrofoam contraptions with the nightcrawlers pushing around in black earth. He held it up for Liz to see before setting it down.
For now, he needed to grab the bucket and get it filled with water for the fish they were so about to catch. He dipped low into the bank, stretching out, determination lining his face as he dipped the bucket into the water. Beau chuckled as he drew forth, tilting the bucket so that Liz could get a look.
"Looks like I picked up a few minners," he said, nodding toward the various little fishes swimming about in the surprisingly clear water.

Being shown the squirmy critters brought up mixed feelings from the pyrokinetic. She stuck her tongue out but she wasn't that disgusted by it. Not really.
When Beau showed her the bucket with the little fishes, Elizabeth clapped and dipped her finger in, swirling it around.
"Okay aright, let's get down to business!" She exclaimed, sort of half expecting Beau to continue with the infamous second line to her favourite Disney movie.

Since Beau was all caught up in his very important and super exciting fishing preparation, he didn't quite notice any of Liz's grimaces or other expressions involving the squirmy ones. He did, however, catch the excitement as she played with the minnows. He'd done that a few times himself, though not anytime recently. He chuckled as he set the bucket down, getting it into a good position.
"To defeat the fish?" drawled Beau. He'd seen the blasted movie more than he cared to admit... and learned every line of that song. He sang it for Liz one birthday as something of a present. Amazing that they hadn't figured out things sooner, eh?
Back in the present, Beau worked at his pole, getting the squirming worm onto his hook. he looked over at Liz, flicking his eyes toward the pole. The offer hung there for a bit: he would definitely bait the hook for her if need be. Wouldn't be the first time: his kid sister didn't like baiting the hooks either, though she did love fishing, mostly the catching part.

"Did you give me wormies, when I asked for funs?" She continued, even though it was probably the lamest thing to do with your boyfriend.
When he gave the subtle suggestion that he could do up the bait, she chuckled and nodded. She could have done it herself but watching Beau do things for her was actually a bit of a turn on, if she was honest.
It did get her out of touching the worms.
"Boyfriend, please hook the bait for me. I sorely misrepresented myself earlier when I confidently stated that I would make the bait my bitch." She snorted and waved a hand at Beau before smiling widely.

Beau blinked, his mind taking a few moments to realize what Liz was saying, or more accurately, the joke she was trying. He chuckled, shaking his head before saying: "That was jus' awful." Though clearly he loved every awful syllable of it. He'd have chuckled even if he weren't dating her: he just had that kind of lousy sense of humor.
Soon enough Beau was grimacing though; he'd totally forgotten that Liz had said she'd make the bait her bitch earlier, what with his own excitement over the fishing and all. "Well, you can always jus' say you're drownin' them or somethin'," he offered. He reached out for her line, grasping it and pulling down. He dug into the container to pull out a worm, effortlessly spearing the little guy on the line, the skill in each and every action quite evident.
"That's what AnneMarie always said," he added. He nodded and released the line, watching it bob in front of Liz a bit, the worm still squirming. "There we go. Ready to catch some supper?" he asked, grinning wide and grabbing his own pole. He'd get ready to cast, throwing out at the same time as she did.

Elizabeth bit her lower lip and giggled. "I know but you love it." She tickled his mid-section, though knowing he probably wasn't that ticklish. At least not as much as her. "And at least I didn't actually make a rhyme with fish."
Beau's suggestion made her laugh as she watched him hook the bait effortlessly. Yeah, seeing how efficient and effortless Beau did some things definitely got her going.
The mention of Beau's little sister softened Elizabeth's smile. She liked hearing little snippets of what Beau's family was like. She talked a lot about her own family that she felt like he already knew them in and out. She actually kind of wanted to feel the same way about his family. It was a weird thought, a very weird thought. But it was there anyway.
Seeing the little guy squirm made her pout a little as she poked it a bit. The mention of supper took her away from the worm though. "Mmmhm." She nodded and cast the line. The first bite was almost instant and immediately she went into action to reel it in, releasing the tension a bit when she realised the fish was a bit of a tugger.
A little squeal escaped her lips and she laughed as she pulled at the pole. "Dude, I think it's a big one!" Her hand was quick to reel it in and she could see it's movements in the water.

Beau let Liz tickle him, not really moving but just looking at her with raised brows. It did make him want to squirm, if only a little, but he didn't want to let on that he was even the slightest bit ticklish. Living with four older brothers had pretty well taught him to never reveal a weakness like that. Plus, he didn't have nearly the ticklish nature that his girlfriend possessed.
She smiled, he smiled, and they were casting their lines into the water. Beau absently rolled the reel, thrilled to just be out, enjoying this moment, this very normal, very relaxing moment. Even better: he got to enjoy the moment with Liz Edison, the girl who he realized more and more with each passing day that he loved so much it almost hurt.
"Already?" he managed, laughing. He watched carefully, fighting the urge to just step forward and grab the pole. Liz could handle herself, and Beau had to keep telling himself that he should dial back the whole gentleman thing a little.
"If you need help gettin' him in, let me know," he said, nodding toward the line. "'specially if he's a big one. 'course," he smirked, "my money's on the girl."
