"So, should we load up on food, then puke it up at one of the ride, or do you reckon you wanna do some rides first?" Beau asked his girlfriend. It probably said quite a bit about their relationship that he could put a nearly flirty spin on a question involving the word "puke," but Beau certainly made an effort to do so. It rolled back to their earlier agreement that some things just shouldn't change between them just because they'd decided to make whatever mess they happened to be in "official." Though Beau had been tempted to dig into the more romantic talk after the near humiliation which had been the dating auction. He could've done without teenage girls screaming for him, though it sounded like his and Liz's auctions had been downright demure compared to some of the others, seeing as they lacked in creepers wearing trench coats, thousand dollar bids, aggressive exes or current boyfriends, and just about every other kind of hi-jinx that had developed around it.
Enjoying the fair like this definitely felt like a good idea. Felt right, like, well, most of what they did together. Beau had linked his hand in Liz's for a while, enjoying the feeling that came from her, that tingling with a slight warmth. Probably helped that right now, his ability made them more the same. Or, more accurately: more of a matched set.
That set needed to figure out what to do now. It wasn't a matter of not figuring things out, more a matter of picking. "I'm already figurin' we're gonna end up on one of those spinny things," said Beau, nodding in the direction of a tilt-a-whirl type ride, "an' there ain't no way I ain't gettin' a Ferris Wheel ride outta ya," he nodded to that too, "so, yeah, jus' figure out what ya wanna do first, Edison," he turned that smile on Liz, adding: "My treat."
