Elsa flicked through the mail, not quite believing it. Admittedly, the mail service hadn't been perfect with recent rearranging. Lately things had actually gotten worse, as Elsa had already started adjusting things for her upcoming move to the staff dorm... alone. So mail was actually something of a reminder of that almost painful bit. So to see someone else's name was actually even more of an annoyance than it would have been normally.
Still, Elsa recognized the name, and some of these looked personal. Elizabeth Edison was one of Erika's friends, if memory served. They'd met once or twice, as you did when you were in the same area with several of the same people. Plus, Elsa had been the one to crown Liz prom queen, which had apparently been more surprising to the blonde than to the Bellefonte. Still, Elsa wouldn't say she was exactly thrilled to be playing mailman to the girl.
So when she knocked on the door, her disgruntled attitude probably showed. Elsa sighed and tapped her foot, wondering if she should just slide the mail underneath the door. Just as she bent low, having decided to do that, she heard the door opening. Straightening, Elsa first adjusted her clothing, then held out the mail. "Liz? Your mail was delivered to my mailbox by mistake," and everything about Elsa said that she really just wanted to deliver it and get going, yet she thought that about as likely as her suddenly learning how to teleport.

She was in the middle of packing her stuff when she heard the door being knocked. Frowning, she turned down her music and went to the door. She wasn't expecting anybody so when she answered the door, she did a double take.
"Er-" she stopped when her visitor spoke, revealing it to be Erika's twin, Elsa. It was weird that Erika and her had been friends for a while but Elizabeth still hadn't ever talked to Elsa.
The nature of her visit surprised Elizabeth as she accepted the mail with a somewhat forced smile.
"Um...thanks. Weird. Since our names are...well...you know not the same and very different..." Elizabeth chuckled and shook her head. "Oh hey, Elsa." She paused briefly, trying to figure out if she should ask before she barrelled right on anyway. "Um, are you busy?"

Elsa just rolled her eyes as Liz started saying her twin's name. That generally happened whenever Elsa met one of her sister's friends, so to say that she was used to it was something of an understatement. At least Liz managed to figure it out pretty quickly. Then again, nothing in Elsa's demeanor or speech resembled her twin in the slightest right now, so anyone who knew either would've made the same mistake.
The male had exchanged, and the names... "Well, they both begin with 'E', 'L'," offered Elsa, adding a slight shrug. She turned to go, only to pause as Liz continued. Elsa blinked, turning back to look at the other girl.
"Not especially, I suppose," she said, looking over her shoulder for a moment. She hesitated, then looked back at Liz. "Is there something you wanted to talk to me about?" the sheer thought of that surprised Elsa, as she hadn't thought there would be anything the two of them could possibly have to discuss. The only thing she could think of was maybe something involving the whole prom thing, and Elsa hadn't been that involved with that...

What Elsa pointed out made Elizabeth briefly shrug. "Yeah...I guess so." She nodded.
When Elsa paused mid-step, Elizabeth panicked for a bit, not really expecting the notoriously ill-tempered girl to actually stay.
"W-well...no not really I guess but um...I don't know. Do you wanna maybe hang out some time? Or you know right now?" She asked, wondering what exactly she was expecting would come out of this.
"I've been meaning to you know...talk to you and stuff." She grinned sheepishly, using her free hand to rub at the back of her neck in embarrassment.

The stuttering game, which was actually fairly standard. Often Erika's friends didn't do it as much since, well, they had gotten some kind of immunity from Erika. They probably knew that Elsa's bark was, for the most part, worse than her bite. Not technically accurate: she just rarely bit.
"Hang out?" repeated Elsa, obviously having heard the word, but unable to keep the disbelief from her voice. She blinked and looked at Liz as though the blonde had started talking about drinking cactus juice and going off to see the owl in the library. Liz had even continued, talking about... talking and... stuff.
"With me," repeated Elsa. She realized that had been practically all she'd been doing for a few beats in this "conversation" so she continued. "Is there something you needed to talk to me about? You really don't have to pretend with me. Is it about Erika?" Elsa's brow furrowed for a moment. "She didn't say or do anything, did she?" Oh God, hadn't Erika and Liz had a thing once? Elsa was racking her mind, trying to recall if they had. that probably would've meant that Elsa went through a phase where she crushed on Liz... did that happen?
It certainly wasn't happening now, which was something of a relief.

Elizabeth nodded hesitantly, already regretting even thinking about it. If Elsa was the type to 'hang out', they would have hung out a long time ago. She would have been another one of Elizabeth's close friends. Why was she trying now though?
"Yeah...um no. No? No uh...well sure we could talk about Erika but...I don't know." She paused briefly before shaking her head. "It's okay, I mean...I just thought...we've graduated and we're gonna leave and all so I figured...you know." She offered with a shrug.
"But yeah no, I...there's nothing in particular that I wanted to talk about." She shook her head, clutching the mail to her chest. "Oh...also, I never told you, you looked really nice at Prom." She offered a smile.

Elsa smiled as Liz continued. This was what she'd heard about: Liz being nice to everyone, almost as if she couldn't help it. Beau had been much the same way: offering to help protect people because "It was the Right Thing to Do." They were definitely well made for one another.
"Are any of us actually leaving though?" she asked, her voice light. "I think most of us are just going across the hall to the college dorms. I'm not though," she tapped the door, figuring she might as well let Liz know this. "Erika's going to be training to be the new Headmistress of the school, and I'm going to be working as her assistant and deputy, so I'll be moving to the staff dorms."
She paused, debating whether or not to mention Erika's plans. Liz already likely knew them. Knowing Erika, she'd told her various friends about moving out with Trevor not soon after telling Elsa. At least Elsa could take some relief in the knowledge that her sister most likely told her first.
"You did too," she said, looking back at Liz and nodding. "Of course, it probably helped that you were crowned queen, and that Beau was there," Elsa hesitated for a moment. Liz did like everyone, and she had Beau. Maybe... maybe Elsa could ask her for advice? No, she hadn't even talked to Erika yet, and the conversation with Roxana had been awkward and they were friends. She certainly couldn't do that on someone who was essentially a stranger.
Plus, there was a very good chance that Liz would put two and two together and realize what Elsa had. the last thing they needed was the awkward "well, I'm not attracted to you any more" conversation.

The question had Elizabeth pondering. Well, she certainly was. She was in the middle of packing up and not to move to the college dorms. She still had to talk to Beau about the living arrangements but she had been putting it off because she still refused to believe they were off their honeymoon period where everything real magically disappears into a fluffy cloud of denial.
"Yeah, she told me something about that." Elizabeth smiled, proud of her friend for having a vision. The blonde was still unsure of her path, which is why she had been dragging her feet this summer with her packing. "Oh! That's great, congratulations! I hope things run smoothly for both of you." She nodded with a wide smile.
Her smile softened as her cheeks heated up at the compliment. "Yeah, Beau being there with me definitely helped with the shock." She nodded as she fiddled with the hair band she had in her pocket. Tucking her mail under one arm, she took the hair band out and pulled her hair up in a ponytail before tilting her head to the side and widening the door way.
"Do you wanna come in? Have a drink maybe? The weather is getting way ridiculous."

Elsa nodded, glad that Erika had at least shared the details with her various friends. Then again, that was something Erika would certainly do. The girl was nothing if not open... at least in things like that. Open and friendly with all sorts of hidden secrets; that was Erika Bellefonte in a nutshell. And her sister? Elsa didn't want to think about that.
"We'll do fine," was all she said to Liz's comment, before adding a slightly delayed "Thank you though." Elsa then watched as Liz fiddled around for a bit, the Bellefonte frowning. Why was she? Ah, the heat. Usually pyrokinetics dealt with the heat quite well, preferring it to the chill, but the occasional one did have the reverse problem. Strange how something as "simple" as dealing with one of the elements could be so complex when it came down to things like this.
"I suppose I could," said Elsa, looking a little nervous about entering. She stepped in, sliding a little past Liz. "You know," she paused, turning to look at the blonde, "if you're having heat issues, you could always report it. We do try to regulate the environment to maximize the student's comfort, after all." Elsa paused, blinking. Okay, that was technically business-Elsa sliding through, but she couldn't help it. That was how she acted in situations where she thought her normal "bitchy" persona wouldn't be a good move and "politely civil heiress" made no sense...

"Yeah you will." Elizabeth said, meaning it. Between Erika's ability to move mountains and Elsa's ability to scare it to move, Elizabeth had no doubt the school was in good hands.
Leaning against the door to let Elsa in, Elizabeth looked at Elsa when she gave the suggestion. "I..." she paused and chuckled, reminded of the conversations she had had with Beau and Becky about exactly this. "Well, I've just been relying on my table fan and hiding myself in the fridge when it's in the summer. But I'm leaving already so I guess you could just consider it for when you guys will be in position?" She suggested with a smile.
Closing the door, she went over to the fridge, bending down a little to look at what they had to offer. "Uh...we're got juice pouches and soda. What will you have?"

Elsa's lips quirked as Liz thought about other conversations. Only quirked though, because a lot of those Beau thoughts read like some kind of romance novel, and Elsa really didn't want to read about anything like that. Didn't really want to think about it, especially as her thoughts kept skipping around her own troubles in that area. At least there was something a little more business-like to focus upon.
"Well, if you end up in a college dorm, let me know, and I'll make sure it's properly air conditioned," said Elsa, nodding. She meant it too. She didn't like thinking that any student suffered because of their power, at least, not here, not under her watch. they got enough of that in the outside world.
They'd entered the room though, and Elsa tried to act like she did this all the time, and that she wasn't feeling a little out of place. Soda and... juice pouches? Elsa looked at Liz, wondering if she was joking. She didn't sound like it, but... juice pouches? Was that something most people drank? "Um, I'll be fine," she said, smiling. "It's not that hot in here or anything," she shrugged and looked around. At least, well, not for her.

Elizabeth saw the smile (or a semblance of it anyway) Elsa gave and built on that. She didn't know why there was a smile but she responded in kind anyway.
It widened naturally anyway when Elsa suggested that she gave a notice if she moved to the college dorms. Elizabeth wasn't sure if she would be going to college here but the gesture was so sweet. Were Elsa anybody else but Elsa, she would have jumped on her and thanked her for being such a sweetheart. As it were, Elizabeth smiled widely and nodded. "I will. Thank you." She scratched her forehead out of mild embarrassment as she poofed to the kitchenette.
Not realising that the other girl was wondering of the existence of juice pouches, Elizabeth grabbed a bottle of orange soda and held it up to her neck. "Ah that's the stuff." She straightened up and nodded at Elsa before going over to the living room. "Come sit. Tell me what you've been up to."

Elsa didn't quite understand why Liz would be so very thankful about her offer. She would've made very similar offerings to people she barely even knew, let alone someone like Liz, who was at the least a friend of a friend and at most a well-liked member of the Academy body. Plus, they still owed Liz's boyfriend quite a bit, though Elsa wasn't going to bring that up.
Instead she took a seat, finding room somewhere and adjusting as best she could. Elsa looked sadly out of place in the room, and she felt that way too. However, she didn't want Liz to know this, so when the blonde returned, it was all polite smiles from the Bellefonte. She watched as Liz held a cool bottle to her and nearly winced.
"See that? That is precisely what you shouldn't have to do," Elsa insisted. She wanted to mumble more, but she realized that technically Liz had opened up for normal conversation. Elsa could manage that, or at least, pretend to. "Quite a lot. There's a lot of adjustment going on in the school because of everything, and I've been working hard to make sure everything goes as planned. There was prom, as you know, and the fair, and we've still got quite a bit to handle before the school year starts."
She paused, then smiled coyly. "I would imagine that you're spending most of your time adjusting to your new relationship?" Because they'd all but embarrassed themselves at prom. Were they not so saccharine sweet, they would never have gotten away with it. And no, that wasn't just Elsa's raging jealousy roaring its ugly head.

The fact that Elsa offered it to Elizabeth was enough for the girl to be grateful. Besides, she was just the type to be grateful for anything given to her. Whether it was a hug, an offer to pay for food, or supplying air conditioning to her room.
It did kind of make her rethink her stance on wanting to leave Bellefonte for other educational pursuits.
Elsa's concern brought a half panicked state in the pyrokinetic. "Oh no, it's okay! I mean...admittedly it's a chore but I've gotten used to it. And...well, I didn't really think much about it before."
Before the whole discomfort while making out with Beau that was.
Elizabeth listened intently at Elsa's recount of what has been going on. It did sound like they had a lot on their plate. "Wow." Elizabeth nodded before twisting off the bottle cap to sip at her soda.
Elsa's tease made her choke on her drink. Thankfully she managed to swallow before everything spewed out and she laughed. "Yeah well..." she scratched the back of her neck sheepishly and shrugged. "Kind of why the whole AC thing came up. Well, one of the reasons anyway." She responded as a blush coloured her cheeks.
She was rather unaware of Elsa's predicament with Felix so she didn't even think that there was anything other than playful teasing on the brunette's part.
"Um, hey, if you want any sort of help anywhere...I could render my services. I mean, I could try for getting experience here somehow before going off into the real world." She offered a smile. It may have seemed to be a more professional offer but Elizabeth wouldn't back away from a personal plea for help if it came up.

Elsa was definitely going to have to crack down on the people around here. Things had obviously gotten too lax, and this was just one of the signs of it. Plus, they now had enough funding to do whatever they really wished in fixing things.
For later though. For now, she needed to pretend to be civil, even if she couldn't help but think that her time would be better spent elsewhere. Liz was popular though, well liked. Being friendly with her could be extremely useful, especially if it helped work with Beau LaRoux too; the two were on the cusp of becoming something of a power couple, with their "next door" looks and "down home" charm and all. Perfect for certain things.
At least Elsa's tease got some reaction, which had Elsa nearly smirking. She did catch a bit of some mental images there, but thankfully she wasn't delving deep enough to get more than that. "We'll probably be calling on quite a few people before this whole thing is over,' said Elsa, nodding. "We've already had crews working on restoration projects, and we'll have the arena up and running soon enough," she hesitated, then looked to Liz with a raised brow. "Didn't Beau tell you? He's worked with some of the restoration crews, from what I've heard. Picked in, did his whole Captain America thing," Elsa shrugged. She could see the appeal, she supposed, but she didn't quite buy the whole "doing this for the good of the community" crap. People always had other motives.
Elsa had a feeling that Beau's motive sat quite near her, though again, she hesitated, wondering if that was a spot she shouldn't be poking around in.
