So Tim was camped out for the latest Transformers movie. In point of fact, he absolutely loved the franchise. Oh, not because he liked explosions or the robots or, like, anything about the movie (the girls were nice to look at, but Tim got enough of that IRL, thank you verra much). No, he liked it because it was just soooooo easy to mock. Plus, there was something insanely fun about ironically camping out for a movie like this.
He'd even brought a Transformers sleeping bag and worn a Transformers t-shirt, just to really milk it. He'd have worn a fedora if he had one. Come to think of it, why didn't he have one? Tim made a mental note to do that as soon as he possibly could. Would definitely complete the whole ensemble.
Now, Tim didn't want to do this alone. Oh no, that wouldn't be cool. He'd seriously considered inviting Lux, but, well, despite how cool she seemed to be with everything, Tim wasn't sure he should spring "ironically liking Michael Bay" on her just yet. Let that relationship develop a little more. No, instead, Tim invited one of his bros, one he was absolutely certain would love this.
Admittedly, Tim wasn't positive that Evan would "get" the whole thing. But hey, enjoyment shared was worth it, right? And it wasn't like Tim was going to mock his friend... probably... hopefully...
Ironically liking things was something Evan had yet to master. He either liked it a lot or hated it a lot. And when he hated it a lot, he wasn't going to check it out more than once.
Which was why when Tim invited him to camp out to watch the new Transformers movie, he was excited! Animated scraps of metal joining forces to defeat other animated scraps of metal? Heck yes he was going to enjoy it.
Of course, in light of recent events, however, his excitement to watch it with Tim waned a little simply because it was effecting his relationship with Charlie.
She never said anything and truth be told, she didn't have to. Tim had mentioned Charlie's problem again. Once was more than enough and Evan knew he had to say something about it. He just didn't know how.
So when he finally arrived at the cinema, Evan gave him a small sheepish smile before setting down a fold out chair and a blanket beside Tim. "Hey man. So how bad is the line?"
Just looking at Evan told Tim that he was going to end up talking about the Charlie thing. He just knew it. Stuff like that stalked Tim, creeping up on him like some kind of ferocious beast. Like it was his Fate to have everything go wrong for him or something like that. Didn't help that he didn't know when to keep his mouth shut. He honestly hadn't meant to talk about her problem or anything; he'd just wanted to say it was good to see her around. Then, boom.
Okay, just focus on the movie. Evan had sounded excited to come see it, which probably meant that he thought it would be cool. So they'd both like it, if for drastically different reasons. Joy.
"It's not too bad," said Tim, twisting to look. "I don't think there's that many people in Kalispell that are going to go to a movie premiere, especially to something like this,' he twisted back, looking over at Evan. "I don't think people around here really appreciate Michael Bay's, uh, artistry," yeah, let's go with that, that.... worked.
He was going to put off talking about Charlie for as long as possible because he was, above all, a dude's bro. He didn't want to be selfish, he really didn't but Tim was a good guy. They were both massive dorks that enjoy a lot of the same things, Evan didn't want to ruin that.
And he was excited to watch the movie. Ironically or not.
"I would have thought someone in a Bumblee getup would be the first in line." He joked, chuckling at his own lameness. "You haven't been here long have you? I had to raid my stash for snacks." He patted his bag that caused a small rustle.

"Guy at the front of the line's dressed like Optimus Prime, actually," drawled Tim, jerking his finger. Said guy actually happened to be a rather large fanboy who may or may not be expecting irony. Just behind him was a dad with a pair of sons, one of whom actually was dressed like Bumblebee. Tim had been tempted to point them out, but he'd settled for taking a picture of them with his phone to share with Lux later.
"Nah," he said, waving a hand as he turned back to Evan. "I've only been here a few hours or something. No big deal. And snacks?" he looked at the bag, his eyebrows raising. Snacks were definitely a good thing. "I did bring some of those. They're..." he moved to adjust his sleeping bag, uncovering an X-Man cooler (what, he couldn't get everything Transformers), "ah, in there. At least a six pack of Mountain Dew and some Cheetos, which, c'mon," he looked up at Evan, his expression totally serious, "that's all you really need to survive one of these."
Laughing, Evan shook his head, shrugging at the level of committment some people put into their fanboying. He would have to congratulate the man for being a fan.
"Oh and yeah. I'm...aha yeah." Evan responded to Tim's declaration. "I have some jerky left over from the last time I did the grocery shopping. They're pretty good." He nodded as he settled into his chair.
"How long more do we have?" He asked, checking his watch.

"Jerky? Cool," said Tim, nodding. "I don't have any of that. Just, uh, Cheetos, mostly," he reached over to un-velcro the top of the cooler, displaying the various contents inside. True to his word, there were a few hefty bags of Cheetos over Mountain Dew in at least four different varieties. "So it sounds like we've got a balanced meal."
He readjusted, then pulled out his phone, checking the time. He tapped a few other things before nodding and sliding it back into a pocket. "Looks like we've still got a few hours. Midnight premiere and, uh, it's about nine forty five," he paused, then ducked into the cooler, shifting through the Mountain Dew. "You more of a Code Red or Voltage kind of guy? Got one of the orange ones in here too, I think..."
And at least one limited edition Transformers one. That was definitely Tim's though. He wasn't that good of a friend.
"Cheetos would work well." Evan nodded solemnly before grinning widely. Hey, snacks were snacks. There's no reason to be discriminatory about it.
The sensory scryer peeked into the cooler bag to see what Tim had brought. True enough, the Mountain Dew cans were in there.
"I wouldn't mind the orange one." He stated. "So hey, are you gonna go bid on anybody at the auction?" Evan asked, not aware of the other guy's crush on one of the people being auctioned off.
Tim nodded in solemn agreement over the selection of Cheetos for snack choice. That was the sort of thing that a man might break a friendship over. For who could be friends with someone who didn't like Cheetos? No one, that's who.
Tim pulled out the orange Mountain Dew on request, handing it off to Evan. He certainly didn't mind that one, since he always thought it tasted a bit off. He popped open one of the "old fashioned" ones with far too much sugar to be good for you, having selected that as his first (of many) for the night.
Just as he started to take a sip of the drink, he heard Evan's question... and nearly started choking. At least he didn't spray soda everywhere. Instead he swallowed hard, then looked over at Evan. "Just maybe," he said, before turning to the side. he let out something like a burp before straightening back up. "Uh, you know Lux? Luxanna Viera, the girl I essentially got prom princess? Well, uh, we've been out before and, uh," he fidgeted for a moment, drumming his soda can. "So, yeah, I've actually, uh, been saving up and all...." he turned and grabbed for the Cheetos. The more noise he could make right now, the better. It could cover his extreme discomfort, possibly, maybe, hopefully.
Evan would have agreed with Tim's thoughts had he voiced them. Cheetos was obviously the determining factor of a friend.
Grabbing the can with a thanks, Evan popped the tab and took a swig, wincing at how sweet and fizzy it was.
Taken aback slightly by Tim's reaction to his question, a chuckle escaped the sensory scryer without him meaning it. "You o - oh. Well." Evan's smile widened, seeing how shy the guy was suddenly becoming. It was seriously adorable.
"That's awesome. So are you going to make it official or something?" He asked, genuinely interested, very oblivious to his friend's discomfort.

Good thing that Evan did not vocalize the "adorable" thought, as that would've been almost as damaging to their friendship as a denial of Cheetos. Bros do not consider one another adorable, especially not while they were waiting in line to see one of the Broist of Bro movies to ever Bro. Of course, none of this stopped Tim from squirming a little and looking away.
"Uh, I don't know, maybe? I'd like to, but, like, she's all--" he gestured, obviously trying to see if he could swat a word out of the air or something, "it's hard to say. What about you?" he turned back to Evan. yes, flip this on him. That should get it to work. "You got someone you're planning on bidding on? I hear the Bellefontes are both going up for grabs..."
not that Tim thought that Evan would even consider a Bellefonte. Liz Edison, maybe, or, well, actually Tim could see Evan going for Lux too, though bros would never go for the same girl, but probably not one of the Bellefontes. Which was, of course, exactly why he'd said it.
He chuckled at how unsure of himself Tim seemed. It wasn't like Evan didn't understand exactly what he felt because he did. Before Charlie, the only way he would ever approach a girl was if it had anything to do with school. Hell, the only way he could strike up a conversation out of the blue with a girl was on the internet.
"Me? Aha...the Bellefontes? No way! That's insane. But no...they are way way out of my league." He shook his head with a chuckle. Truth be told, Charlie was too, wasn't she? She was rich, beautiful and smart. And the only thing he had over her was that he was just slightly smarter than her. Slightly.
How they became friends was still a mystery to him, being a couple, well...if anyone told him that was even remotely possible, he would have laughed.
"Well...um...I'm gonna go and support Charlie." He mentioned. "Not that I'd be able to bid since I only have like...fifty bucks on me. That last grocery shopping really killed me." He laughed lightly.

"Hey man, you never know till you try," said Tim. Though he wondered if he shouldn't be listening and taking his own advice in that respect. Wasn't Lux technically out of his league or something? Totally, yet she still seemed to like him. He took another pull from his soda, secretly glad that he didn't understand girls.
Evan got back on subject though, talking about who he intended to support. Tim nearly flinched at the mention of the girl who'd pretty well declared war on him. not that he'd meant to tick her off or do anything, but at the same time, he didn't feel like he could really take it back. Especially not now that someone had gone and punched him for it.
Still, all that didn't change the fact that Evan was his bro, or at least the closest thing Tim had to one. "Hey, if you need some money man, I could lend you some or something. You know," Tim shrugged, "worthy cause and all." Gah, did those words practically hurt. He also wasn't entirely certain he should be spending money when he should be saving and bidding on Lux. Maybe he'd get lucky and she'd go first and he could give what remained of his money to Evan?
Chuckling at Tim's advice, Evan briefly wondered if he shouldn't take his own advice. Although most of that confidence obviously came from actually managing to make a girl like Charlie like him as much as she did. He didn't know what all he did to deserve it but hell if he was going to question it.
"What?" Evan elongated the one syllable question with a laugh. He couldn't take Tim's money! Especially not when he was about to ask Tim for a favour. "No way man. You should totally use that money to get that date with Lux." He nodded with a grin. "I uh...I'll deal with my lack of money somehow. I mean, even if some other dude got Charlie, it's just a date. And...it's for a good cause...obviously." He nodded, though wholly worried that Ricky could end up walking away with Charlie.
"But uh...speaking of Charlie...um...is it...okay if you...uh..." Evan mumbled to himself as he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "Man...I'm sorry I gotta do this. I feel like I'm a traitor to both you and Charlie if I do or don't do this." He sighed inaudibly before going with a 'Screw it' attitude.
"Could you personally apologise to Charlie for mentioning her twice on your vlog?" Evan said in such a hurry that he was afraid Tim didn't catch it. "I mean...not a shoutout or anything, which by the way, I never thanked you for. That was a little embarrassing but uh...is it okay if you apologised to her face to face? I don't dig that two people I'm friends with aren't on good terms with each other."

Tim shrugged, trying to hide his relief at not actually having to fork over his money. He really did want to bid on Lux, save her from ending up with some freak or something. He just had to hope that someone didn't show up and, like, super-bid on her or something. Didn't she have a friend named Ricky or something that was really close to her? That would be just Tim's luck, honestly.
Just as he was thinking about himself though, Evan had to bring up his nemesis. Tim sighed, lowering his head for a bit. He so saw this coming, and he nodded as Evan continued. He didn't blame the other guy for rallying to Charlie or whatever. Seemed like every other person that Tim knew did that to some degree. Wasn't even like he'd said anything that outrageous about her, yet everyone seemed to be taking her side, which just made it even worse in his opinion.
"Man, she's out to gt me," said Tim, adding a sigh. "I didn't even, like, mean to get on her bad side or do anything bad, you know? That last one was honestly my way of saying that it was cool that she was back around and that I hope she gets whatever sorted out, and she, like, jumped down her throat, her and all her little buddies. I couldn't do a shoutout anymore if I wanted to," Tim sighed, obviously more distraught over losing his blog than he was about dealing with Charlie and whatever was bothering her. He looked over at Evan. "You do realize that she'd probably jump you for coming to her defense or something? Seems like the type."
