Sierra can create and shape fire.  Her chemical make up is different so that her abilities have a direct link to her emotions. When she gets really emotional, there is a chemical reaction in her body that, in a way, causes a combustion. That being said, her whole body doesn't actually combust, it is a controlled release from her hands. Because of how her abilities are triggered (the chemical reaction) she cannot create fire without experiencing a strong emotion. The particular emotion doesn't matter, it can be positive or negative. However, anger seems to have the quickest reaction.

Limitations
- Unless Sierra is feeling some sort of strong emotion, she can not create fire.
- She cannot shape or manipulate any type of fire or flame that she did not create.
- She CAN withstand high temperatures ONLY if she is in a highly emotional state.
- Elements like water and wind can easily douse her abilities, rendering them basically useless. (Basically how water from a hose can put out a house fire.)

Side-Effects
- Sierra's ability gives her a high metabolism, so she burns through food very quickly. She needs to eat a lot and often or she will get very weak. This goes for hydration as well. She needs to be drinking water or other hydrating beverages all of the time.
- When using her ability as well as afterwards, Sierra gets extremely sweaty (gross, right?). So, she will usually need to take a shower immediately after a combat exercise.
- Sierra can't afford to make all of her outfits out of flame resistant materials. She has about two that are, but when wearing normal clothing, she has to be very careful not to catch fire to them, or things could get... embarrassing.
- She gets very, very tired after using her abilities. She will usually need to eat, shower, and then take a long nap.
- Her overall body temperature is higher than the average human, even when she isn't using her abilities.


APPEARANCE SECTION: Sierra has a bit longer than shoulder-length, soft blonde hair that tends to curl a bit at the ends. She has greenish-blue almond-shaped eyes that look different depending on how the light hits them. Her frame is small in both height and thickness. She has pale skin, and all of her facial features are soft, causing her to sometimes still look like she has a "baby face." Which doesn't help because due to her almost lack of breasts and tiny frame, she could easily be mistaken as a child. To combat this, she usually wears a lot of make-up and clothing that can trick the eye into making it look like she has a more voluptuous figure. Nine times out of ten, she succeeds in making herself appear her actual age.

She walks with confidence, so her head is almost always held high and she has a swing in her hips. Because of this, she generally appears taller than she actually is. Well, that and because she is usually wearing a pair of heels. There is also a small tattoo of a fire fairy on the back of her right ankle.

MUST HAVE APPAREL: Sierra tries to dress fairly fashionably every day. She's not the type that you would find in a pair of sweat pants and a baggy t-shirt. She was almost always wearing a dress. If not a dress, then a nice blouse with either a pair of dress pants or a skirt. The one thing Sierra wouldn't be caught dead without is a pair of heels. Of course there are some exceptions to this, like gym class or taking a shower... But, almost all outfits require a pair of heels for her.

PERSONALITY SECTION: Sierra is very outgoing and tries to be kind to everyone. She is not a people-pleaser, but she does try to make friends with everyone. Some people might interpret that as a weakness. But, Sierra sees it as having the upper hand. While she does her absolute best to fake being nicey-nice with everyone, in the back of her head all she is thinking about is how that friendship may benefit her later on. However, her acting is so on point that it's very rare for someone to catch on to her little game.

Unlike Kara, Sierra is very proud of her powers. So proud that she went out and got that little fire fairy tattoo. In hind sight, something she somewhat regrets just because it seems cheesy. But, Sierra loves her powers and loves to show them off if the proper opportunity presents itself. She knows that she isn't the strongest person around, and maybe other people have more impressive abilities, but she is perfectly happy with hers, despite the problems they've caused in the past.

EXTRA QUIRK: Sierra LOVES any type of hot/spicy foods. She carries around a small bottle of hot sauce in her purse... just in case.

CHILDHOOD: Life was pretty great for Sierra and her family. They were well-bonded and spent a lot of time together. She and her sister both attended public school and spent a lot of time together afterwards playing games or participating in sports and clubs. Sierra was always a little bit jealous of Kara, though. Sierra had trouble making friends, despite her efforts to be overly kind and generous towards everyone. But, it seemed like the only friend she could keep was her sister. However, Kara had a friend named Anthony who was over ALL OF THE TIME. Not only was he stealing Kara away from her, but why did Kara, the younger one, get to have a friend and she didn't? Sierra liked the Anthony boy. Not romantically of course, but he was fun to have around and play games with. But, most of the time Anthony and Kara didn't want to play with Sierra because she was older and it wasn't as much fun to them. Sierra just wanted her sister back.

Sierra was very bright and creative. She always got straight A's and won various different awards. She was always working on some sort of painting or drawing. Sure, they weren't amazing works of art, but they were pretty damn impressive for her age. Sierra was also always in some sort of sport or club or trying out a different instrument. She wanted to learn how to do everything, and make a lot of friends along the way. But, no matter how hard she tried and how much she put herself out there, she always seemed to have trouble making friends.

ADOLESCENCE: Her adolescent life really wasn't all that much different than her childhood. She was still in as many different clubs and after school sports as she could be. She still couldn't make any friends. Anthony continued to take her sister away from her. Kara had even dropped out of most of the after school activities that they did together to spend more time with Anthony. Sierra felt like she was losing her sister and she wouldn't stand for it much longer.

At one point Anthony was over and he and Kara were playing a two player video game. Sierra came in and wanted to play. They refused to let her play because they had already started and Sierra wasn't very good at the game. Even her parents had told her that she didn't need to play with Anthony right now because he was Kara's friend. As juvenile an issue as it was, this set Sierra into a new level of rage that she had never witnessed before. This started the chemical reaction within her, causing her to release fire from her hands. And hence began the house fire. It was an accident, of course. She hadn't meant to start the fire. Hell, she hadn't even known that she could create fire. Within about an hour or two of word of the fire getting out to Bellefonte Academy (she did live pretty close) they came and retrieved her.

That was four years ago.

When Sierra first arrived at Bellefonte, she was very confused about what was going on with her. She never thought that she would be one of those people that were rumored to have abilities. It took time, and a lot of training, but she was slowly able to accept it. Her classes started out very rocky. It took awhile for her to figure out that her abilities were triggered by emotions. They figured that one out when she got frustrated at not being able to create fire and more or less threw a temper tantrum. Once that was figured out, her training got a little bit easier... But only a little. It took A LOT of time, almost the entirety of the four years she's spent at Bellefonte, to learn how to use and then to control her abilities. But she has almost full control over them now.

During her time at Bellefonte when she wasn't training, she tried to keep to herself. After her lack of luck with making friends as a child, she figured it would end up the same here. However, she loves gossip, so she was always around people, listening, but she kept to herself. Sadly, during that entire time, she didn't really make any friends. She talked to a few people here and there, but never really met anyone she considered a friend. She figured if she left them before they left her, she wouldn't get hurt. She certainly didn't fall in love with anyone. She didn't get to know anyone well enough to fall in love with them. The only thing she really concerned herself with while she was at Bellefonte, aside from learning to control her abilities, was whether or not her sister would come to the same fate as she did, and join her at the academy.

ADULTHOOD: Having only turned 18 a few months ago, Sierra hasn't done much as an adult. She will be graduating from this summer, so that's exciting. She's working on figuring out what she wants to do about college, but in all honesty really has no idea yet. Which is typical for her because she's a bit of a procrastinator. Other than that, the only thing she's really done that separates her from being a teenager, is that she can (and does) buy cigarettes now.
