"And sent..." Skylar mumbled to herself as and plopped herself onto the closest bench. She had just sent Devyn a text reading: "Club District? Now?". Short and to the point. They could discuss more detailed things if/when Devyn arrived, she hoped she would, otherwise she would just have to cause some havoc alone, and that wasn't very fun. She checked the time; a little past 10 at night. Soon the district would be crawling with people, after all, it was a Friday night. She took into consideration that it was a Friday night the text had been kind of sudden, without much planning beforehand so she didn't mind if Devyn already had plans for the night.
She tugged her navy zip up jacket a bit tighter, it wasn't that cold out but Skylar was kind of a sissy when it came to the cold, though she did her best not to show it. She wore a simple white short sleeved shirt underneath the jacket, and some black yoga pants. She waited and looked around at the passing strangers, she could have sworn she had seen a few familiar faces from the campus, but kept quiet and hoped they wouldn't say anything about her there. Skylar was only 18 and although she was underage of the legal drinking age, she still managed to get her hands on a fake ID. So far she had yet to get it taken, she knew she didn't look very old but most the bartenders seemed to give drinks out to whomever had an ID that said you were at least 21, and were willing to pay.
She checked her phone again, Just looking at the time... she said, trying to convince herself that's why she had checked her phone. It wasn't lie the places were going to close anytime soon so it was a poor effort to hide the fact that she was checking to see if Devyn had texted her back. A yawn escaped her mouth, she had recently awoken from a wonderful nap, and was now wide awake. She scanned the faces around her once more but didn't catch Devyn's face. She pulled out her phone and began to aimlessly play one of those silly apps that had absolutely no point to it, still, point or no point, it was a great time passer. It helped make class time seem to go much faster at least.
