Current Characters: Regan and Cole Robins, Arianna Robins, See Merrick
Preamble: My style of role play (which I keep to suit the needs of my busy, crazy life) is as low-maintenance as possible. This means I don't update my plot page with information on who my characters are involved with. so, if you want to know, ask!
I will have times where my replies will be long and interesting, and when they are short and a tad less articulate. I beg your patience in each of these modes - I drift into RP when I am able, and it goes to the back burner when needed.
Plot away, and let's get the ball rolling!
Important Note for Regan, Cole and Arianna: I disappeared from the site for just under a year, and so did they. They have come back but the circumstances behind their leaving are not known to anyone else but them. Getting to the bottom of that and getting them to share it would be a pivotal plot point available to anyone who got close to Regan, Cole or Arianna.
Meet the Gemini, Regan and Cole. Note that though they are played on one account, I can run threads with either of them individually or both. See if there's anything you find interesting!
Regan and Cole's "power" (or, "affliction," as they see it) is that both experience the same physical sensations. This can manifest itself in many ways:
If one twin is hurt in any way, the other feels the effects and consequences. For example, if Regan were punched in the face, Cole would feel the force and inertia of the punch, and would suffer the exact same injury as Regan. Or, if Cole suffered a scrape on his arm, Regan would have the exact same scrape. Their bodies are complete clones of one another at all times.
They don't feel the same emotions, but any physical sensations stemming from those feelings would be experienced by both. If Cole is anxious, his increased heart rate and sweating would be experienced by Regan, but not the anxiety itself. Those symptoms, of course, would be balanced out by whatever Regan were currently feeling. If Regan cries, Cole also cries, but may not feel the sadness that was the cause.
They mutually experience sexual arousal. If one twin is aroused, so is the other. They also feel all the accompanying sensations that might follow.
Their physical appearance is always the same. If Regan gets his hair cut, for example, Cole's hair changes in the same way, strand by strand.

Regan is the more active of the twins. He's on a few sports teams at Bellefonte and stays in very good shape (which subsequently helps Cole do the same). He makes friends easily but he also makes enemies easily. He runs off his mouth without thinking and is never afraid to say exactly what's on his mind.

Regan is very friendly, but sometimes has trouble making friends because of his brashness and lack of tact. Once he befriends you, however, he's fiercely loyal. The only caveat is that he is very protective of Cole, and if you have a problem with Cole, you have a problem with Regan.

The thing about Regan is that once he hates someone, it's very, very tough to get back in his good books. That said, it's also very tough to get him to dislike you. That said, he has a tendency to make enemies purely by accident. He's aggressive but for the sake of his brother tries not to fight. Maybe your character will make him cross the line?

Regan is a guy of limited experience in this area. He had one girlfriend for about a month, maybe a year ago. So, he doesn't exactly have a lot of tact in this area. How that goes depends on how you want to approach him. He's a blank canvas. If someone excites him, let's see where it goes! Remember though, love Regan, love his brother.

Cole is much more soft-spoken and artistic than Regan. He enjoys creating pictures in any form, be it on canvas or paper, with pencils, coloured pencils, paints, anything. He looks at everything as a new picture. He's painfully socially awkward and shy, and it takes every effort of his brother to bring him out of his shell at all.

Cole has always had very few friends, very unlike Regan, but he also enjoys his time alone, so this has largely suited him. He is, though, very paranoid and wants to make people happy. Get close to him, get him close to you, and he'll never leave - to a fault, at times.

Unlike Regan, Cole is very difficult to dislike. He blames himself for the faults or flaws of others. He gives of himself generously. His awkwardness, though, could rub some people the wrong way. Find a way to dislike Cole and it'll make for an interesting time.

Cole has no idea what he wants. He sees himself as very uncertain and questioning. He doesn't want to assign himself to one category or another, mostly because it's something he's almost never thought about. He has no idea what he would do if that kind of opportunity came around - he's simply too naive and innocent. There are possibilities, though, with enough time and patience.
During his time at Bellefonte before his absence, he fell in love for the first time. Since then, the boy in question has left Bellefonte, leaving a bit of a void for Cole. He's vulnerable but longs for that feeling again.

Arianna is Cole and Regan's older sister and legal guardian. She came to teach at Bellefonte to fill the void that remained after Regan and Cole were accepted. She teaches English and is passionate about both her teaching and her commitment to helping her students thrive.

Arianna can be the kind of person who doesn't think she has time for friends, so getting close to her could be a little difficult. But she's nice. She'll meet you once and know your name. The closest friends she is likely to have are the students she teaches, but she respects her colleagues and friendships could form over time.

Anyone who thinks differently from Arianna would be easily annoyed by her insistence regarding issues that are closest to her. She is not one to shy away from a debate or a discussion, and also will not shy away from things getting heated. She could be easy or difficult to dislike, depending on the person.

Arianna has given almost no thought to romance. She lives by her work and by her stories. If a man were to walk into her life and treat her with respect and dignity, she might see her way around breaking open the shell that has been her love life for the past several years, but it will take some doing. Patience, patience and patience!

See Talize Merrick is neither easy nor difficult to get close to. She lives completely in the moment and will do what she pleases regardless of the consequences. She never thinks about the impact of what she does on other people, and she is not afraid to stand out just because she felt like it.

See is difficult to be friends with simply because of the zero fucks she tends to give about other people. She will talk to anyone, as long as they don't piss her off, which could be for any reason from their hairstyle to the first thing they said to the last thing they said. Getting close to See means loving her pure, unadulterated randomness for what it is, and never standing in the way of it.

Tough to say who See would consider an enemy, because again, she just doesn't think about other people enough for them to earn the place of 'enemy' in her head. If anyone did, she'd just fuck with them more than usual. Then again, it's relatively easy to dislike See because of her sheer lack of regard for everything and everyone around her.
