Solkat considered this and nodded. "well Skunks are one of the primary predators of the honeybee, their thick fur protects them from the stingers." she said realizing at once Frank was right. Her weird urges were likely a result of her new body. " Skunks will eat almost anything eddable....berries, birds, eggs and even cat food as well was insects and lizards" she said thinking aloud. SHe could not imagine eating most of the thing's SKunk's were known to eat.
"Im not sure i have anywhere else to go. My parents were not the most receptive of my mutation. They also have not called or returned my calls yet." she admitted. It was strange how loving her parents had been up until she had changed. SHe had heard the word monster mentioned a fair number of times though never in front of her from her parents.
"So um what are you going to collage for? and yea the people here are awesome" she agreed even though so far frank was the only person she knew at all. She had no idea what she wanted to do herself for her future, she never had. Sure she was always sure she would go onto collage likely for something related to animals. "I think i want to be a vet, i like animals it's just the blood part i have issues with" she said, her mind sarcastically commenting she could do self check up's that way, but she kept that in her head.

"Wow, that is so cool how you just prattled all that stuff out! You didn't just look up skunks on your phone or something, did you?" Frank craned her neck to look, but she didn't see a phone anywhere near Solkat's hands. Yeah, that definitely couldn't be it, so Frank dismissed the idea out of hand. "You must've gone on the interwebs and like memorized a bunch of stuff about skunks. That's smart; I don't know if I would've done that if I got super skunk powers. I probably would've bounced around and spoken in French and tried to woo pretty dudes or something," Frank giggled at the thought. This wasn't too far remove from what she tried to do anyway, or something that she'd done when she was still in England. Frank did speak nearly flawless French, one of the many odd little things about her, right up there with the whole rich family thing.
Frank just gave Solkat a reassuring hug and a "that sucks' at the mention of family, before bounding away. There was probably a bench fall and rise somewhere in there, but Frank proved as resilient as a bouncy ball. "I'm going to college to join a sorority, date hunky college guys, and make connections," said Frank, nodding confidently and striding forward again. She ended up giggling in a few steps at Solkat's suggestion. "You would make an awesome vet! Maybe by the time you finish vet school people will be totally aware of mutants and stuff so you could just handle all kinds of animals and stuff. Oh, people would totally love that, because they'd think that you know all sorts of stuff and--aah, sign," Frank said this last as she skirted around the sign for the cafeteria. They had, at last, come to their destination. Frank waved at it, wiggling her fingers. "Taaaa daa! Cafeteria! See, I totally knew where I was going the whole time! You can totes trust me." Frank added some nods in there, feeling quite pleased with herself for having managed it.

"Well i have learned a lot about animals from the internet, but i knew that before the mutation. " she said wondering why she had only now recalled such information. SHe might have well memorized it online somewhere though. She did not recall wither way and now that she thought about it, it would be a good idea to go online and look. "You speak french?" she said her shock evident in her voice. Frank just did not seem the type to take the time to do something like that. Solkat guessed Frank was full of surprises.
"Im just hoping to find a cute girl somewhere, but i don't thin sorority's would be my thing, you however have more energy then a squad of cheerleaders, you would do great!" she said feeling Frank would certainly fit in at sorority house which Solkat mostly mentally saw as an excuse for long parties and drinking. She wondered what Franks power would do to booze.
"Thank you and i...." she was cut off by the sign Frank noticed. She smiled at Frank and looked over the cafeteria. "I do trust you, your an amazing person, with enough energy to fuel a sports team. " she said and she did. It was true that Frank's actions had cast doubts in her mind. Still she had lead them to the right place and not in a s long as it would have seemed given frank's unique way of doing things.
"I'm in 305 of the girls dorms by the way" she said unable to recall if she had mentioned it before or not. The dorm itself was nice, smaller thens eh was used to. She was almost scared to ask. "Im going to need to go shopping soon, would you like to come? It will likely be online because im not suppose to leave campus" she said somehow believing Frank would know more about clothing then herself. Then again she would have been more surprised if she did not as Solkat herself was terrible with it.

"Wow, so you were totally set to do the vet thing before, right? That's awesome! the whole not giving up on it thing. So totally cool!" insisted Frank, with much nodding. At the query over her French, Frank just giggled, covering her mouth with her hand. When she moved it, she spoke in nearly flawless French, complete with an accent that would match an actual region of France. It was just a few words about how she totally spoke French and had learned it a while ago, ended with another giggle. "I went to the English school for a while and my bff was this French chick, so she was all like 'you should learn ze best language!" and Frank giggled at that. She was soon giggling as Solkat mentioned finding a girl. If that was supposed to be an admission of homosexuality, it clearly didn't cause Frank to even lose a step.
And lots of energy, which just made Frank giggle some more. "Yeah, it's cool; I'm either super high or super low; it's the whole metabolism thing," and Frank being Frank, but Frank wasn't going to outright say that it was Frank being Frank so much as just keep being Frank, because Frank was what Frank was. "And you don't have to worry about the whole liking girls thing. I'm not really into it, but I'm totally friends with lots of people who are and there are tons of people here who like all sorts of things. I think there's one guy who even likes to have sex with model trains or something; you'll be fine," Frank waved at Solkat, then sort of shepherded them both into the cafeteria. The smell of food made Frank pause and breathe deep ,clearly enjoying it.
"205 coed here," Frank fired back, looking over, "and you can totally come over. I got this super high tech laptop thing and my parents don't really care what I do on their super platinum credit card so long as I make sure to put over half my allowance in stocks or investments or something," Frank clearly didn't follow; she hired people to handle her money for her, like all truly smart rich people. "oh, and we could totally dress you in a disguise or something too!" she said, clapping her hands. Of course, Frank didn't know that SPECTRE was about to unleash doom upon the school and Solkat would be lucky to even poke her nose outside her dorm in the coming days/months; not that this would've really put that much of a damper on Frank's plan anyway.

Well how frank learned french was cleared up though Solkat wondered how she sat still long enough to do so. SOlkat only spoke English and maybe some quite broken spanish words. SHe had no idea what was french and Frank could have been using gibberish for all she knew when she spoke french, it did sound pretty though.
"That is good to know" she replied and it was for a few reasons. Solkat now knew Frank was certainly not available to her. "Sex with trains?" she said unable to hide the disturbed look on her face. SOlkat did try and be open to things but for some reason she found that very creepy. Still if someone like that had a chance then she had to have a good one as well.
It must have been nice, even in the best of times while Solkat did not struggle, Frank put up a money is no object air to her. "That could be nice, i would love to be able to see the town. They kept me hidden from view coming into the school" she said understanding why it had been done but like any teenager wanting to do what she was told no on.
She looked around the cafeteria and followed Frank the place looked like it could hold a vast number of people. "I would love to hang out with you when were free" she said enthusiastically.

Frank nodded, "Totally. He likes to stoke the engine, or plug the caboose or something; I didn't really ask," Frank shrugged. There were some things that even she didn't want to know about people. How they had sex with trains happened to be near the top of that list. Frank kept moving, not really wanting to think too deeply about the whole situation. They were already in the cafeteria proper, and a few people were, admittedly, staring at Solkat. Then again, a few were staring at Frank, though likely a few of those were wondering if Frank was somehow responsible for the skunk girl, since that did seem like something that Frank would do, given the chance.
"Well, we'd probably have to still hide you or something, but don't worry, I've totally done stuff like that before, and I've seen it done lots of times," mostly on cartoons, but Frank wasn't about to admit that little tidbit. Best if Solkat didn't realize that a rather large portion of Frank's knowledge came from watching the Saturday morning best. At the mention of hanging out, Frank just let out a giggle, jumping back to give Solkat another one armed hug, pulling her new friend close.
"Of course we can hang out! I hang out with all my friends, because they are all super awesome and junk. I do have, like, lots of people to hang out with, but I totally make time to do it all. I just never sleep," Frank winked after that last, before springing forward to grab two trays. She'd soon hand one off to Solkat, grinning and waiting for the other girl to come join her for their obvious meal.

Solkat was really glad when Frank did not go on talking about train love. The benefit was SOlkat was two distracted trying to purge awful images in her head that she barely noticed the people around her. The vague notion that one could consider sex with her as bestiality also played in her mind. She tried to force that away so she could continue to float in the bliss that seemed to follow Frank. "If we could show our powers we could make you a web star. Can she eat it? On todays epsiode golf balls" she said laughing.
"Yea people might respond poorly to a five foot tall talking skunk without a french accent. " she said with a laugh. Recalling the cartoon about the skunk and the cat, she felt more like the cat int eh cartoon then the skunk but was glad not to be chased by a skunk.
"I can imagine, well meeting more people would be good as well * she said as she took the tray and began her way down the line with Frank. SHe could believe Frank not sleeping much even if she was sure she had to sleep at least part of the time. "This place is way better then my old school already" she said to frank looking around the room.

"You know, I've totally thought about doing that!" chirped Frank, nodding. "The schools were all like 'you can't expose mutant kind like that,'" Frank sighed, "someday...
"Oh, and you can totally be my beautiful assistant! The internet will go nuts about you when they find out there's a cute skunk girl. You'll be bombarded with all kinds of stuff. Of course, it won't all be good, but who cares about the haters? Hater's gonna hate!" and of course Frank had to sort of chant that, dipping down low and sort of bobbing along, moving a few steps forward as she went. They were sliding right in line, and Frank was already licking her lips in anticipation. The food here wasn't great, but she could eat about as much as she wanted; part of the special meal plan for students like her that required a massive calorie intact in order to stay upright and moving.
"More awesome 'cuz your old school didn't have me, right?" she asked, moving back to elbow Solkat, "oh, and I think they've got some honey ham somewhere or something, if you're still looking for that. But yeah," Frank nodded and started loading her tray up with various foodstuffs, "I love it here. The whole English school was a bit too Harry Potter for me, only without all the fun wands waving nad cool people."
She giggled and loaded Solkat's tray with some food now too, mostly in the form of french fries.

"Right i got that same speech when i came here. " she said but Frank was already going on about her playing assistant and the word beautiful was not lost on her either. It was true that any famous person had their haters and supporters. "If we can expose our powers, i will totally do that with you" Solkat said assuming it would never come to pass. It seemed a pretty safe bet she would not need to worry having to back her words.
"You being here deffanently makes this school better on it's own" she admitted having never cared much for her old school. She shook her head about the honey, no what she was picturing was more the winnie the pooh style honey. Still she took some of the ham on second thought anyway, ham was good even if it was not exactly her hope. Frank seemed like she would be a good freind which was more then she ahd found at her old school already
She got a lot of fries added to her plate and she noticed the lunch staff did not even blink as she did this. They seemed to expect such things which made Solkat realize Frank likely behaved this way to everyone she met, minus the hugging and fur cuddling she would have imagined.
"Never met anyone from england but i have heard their uptight. Were their rules worse then here?" she asked curiously. Before the previous day Solkat had not really known schools like this existed much less more then one. "I wonder how many of us are out there in the world" she said aloud.
Post by Frank "Sunny" Laffont on Apr 8, 2014 17:07:07 GMT -6
Frank definitely made note that Solkat volunteered. She was already picturing herself as a YouTube celebrity of some kind. Maybe she could do all kinds of fun things with various mutants, show people that they were more awesome than scary or something. "I bet if people knew about how awesome we all are, they'd totally be like 'I wanna be friends with a mutant' and junk," said Frank, nodding quite vigorously. "The internet would just love that sort of thing. Plus they're all about cute girls that look weird."
At least, that had been Frank's experience. She was fairly confident that she could find someone who liked Solkat for who she was. Sure, said person might have a furry fetish or whatever, but who was to say that didn't make them a perfect match for someone like Solkat? Not that Frank was spending much time dwelling on this, given that there was all this food about that needed the eating. And no, no the cafeteria staff didn't even blink as Frank took food and just sort of piled it onto their trays.
"They were sooooo uptight!" agreed Frank, grabbing some last few bits of food. She eventually reached up and uncovered some small packets of honey. Grinning, she dropped a fistful of these onto Solkat's tray, nodding in satisfaction at having procured them. "They weren't really that much stricter about the rules than here. The school was a little more private though; like, you think Kalispell is small," Frank held out her arms stretched wide, and slowly brought it down a much smaller space, "was so like that. And I dunno how many of us there are," she shrugged, then finally brought them toward the end of the line, gesturing for them to add it to her account. "There's enough to get schools all over the place though. There were schools on the Continent and all over,' Frank looked over at Solkat and nodded, "my parents totally looked them up. They figured that the English school would be best for me. They're a little eccentric," this coming from Frank, "but they're cool, for, like, old people," Frank eventually located a mostly empty table, directing Solkat that way, figuring that the skunk girl probably would want at least a little privacy.

SHe had many reservations about about Frank's train of thought. Their would be some who might wnat to be their friend's but other's maybe not as much. Still Frank had a point about the internet liking the weird. It seemed to thrive on it and it likely the reason she had spent so many long hours on it. It was very easy to go to youtube and lose hours of time. "Yea the internet would love it and the video would likely be viewed a lot before being pulled down" she said pretty sure the government likely would not allow the secret to be out.
SHe could smell the honey packets now and smiled. SHe had never really eaten much of it before and like all her strange cravings just attributed it to her mutation. Their was easily twice the food Solkat could eat on her tray but she heavily suspected Frank would help her in that department even with her own tray of food.
"So their must be ten's of thousands of us out there then and your parents sound way cooler then mine." she said slightly afraid of the idea of people Frank found odd. Though she reasoned they might be perfectly normal and just odd to Frank. Grateful when they moved two a private table, she sat down, making sure to her keep her tails out from under her rear. "Are your parents Human or mutants?" she asked curiously and for another thought. If mutants bor mutant children her child might be like her.

Frank nodded. "The internet loves all kinds of weird stuff, so, like, they'd probably think that mutants were the best thing everrrr," she growled and hopped and did a quick shimmy before loading up their trays, paying for everything, and beginning to head toward their tables. She barely even paused between those either, simply moving from one motion to the next with the obvious experience of someone who had done this way too many times before.
They got to their private table, which worked well enough for Frank, since she about needed a table to her own. Of course, she did have to yell and shout and call out to people, even twisting to throw a French Fry at one person real quick before focusing back in on Solkat. People knew Frank, obviously, but she just as obviously wanted to spend this lunchtime with her new friend. Didn't stop her from shoving fries into her mouth at an alarming rate.
Frank nodded again. "Loads and loads. There's the English school, and they talked about a few more in Europe, and there's probably some in other places too, and there's people at all of them and all," she shoved more fries into her mouth, before realizing that pretty much all she had was fries. Sadly, nutrition was one thing that Frank sometimes neglected. "What? Oh, my parents were totally human. Old, rich humans and stuff so--Hey!" she slapped the table, "My dad could've totally been Batman! No, wait, I think his dad died of old age," Frank settled down, shoving more fries into her mouth and chewing, obviously a little perturbed. "But I hear that mutants often have mutant babies or something. I think I had a friend or something that had that happen to her. Were your parents mutant---nah, they were probably human, what with all the priest and stuff. I wonder if there are any mutant priests? That would be weird, right?"
Post by Solkat Siun on Apr 15, 2014 22:45:31 GMT -6
The internet certainly did have a lot of strange things on it. She had found a great many of them as she had passed through the world wide web for most of her school career at home. SHe had serious doubts about people thinking Mutants were the best thing ever but she was not to positive on her chances of convincing the other of that idea. Some would like them sure but others would likely want to come after them and hurt them. It seemed better to hide but Solkat decided to let the issue lay if she could. Frank seemed to have plenty of ideas as it was.
Frank also seemed to know a great many people in the school and she of course attracted a ton of attention. People basically left them alone, but she was sure she could feel people staring at her even if she could not see them doing so. SHe munched on some fries herself, enjoying the junk food. SHe then picked up a honey packet and sliced it open with her claw and squeezed the honey onto her tongue. It did taste good.
The second packet however she used more as dip, still enjoying the honey but figuring it would attract much less attention if she ate like a human being. "Batman's dad was shot in front of him" she said recalling some of the comic knowledge she had. "My parents were human and yea i dont think they would have tried to get the demons out of me if they were Mutants. Mutant parents seem like they would be more under standing, like wizard parents in harry potter" she said recalling the books.
Post by Frank "Sunny" Laffont on Apr 18, 2014 19:48:00 GMT -6
Frank did sort of notice that Solkat was eating. She didn't say anything (amazingly enough), as she knew that Solkat probably needed to eat. Besides, watching the skunk girl suck down a honey packet was pretty much adorable. The only way that could have possibly been cuter was if Solkat had made some kind of adorable noise as she ate.
Solkat's comic knowledge confirmed what Frank already knew, and the rich girl was bobbing her head in agreement. "That's why he totally couldn't have been Batman. It's totally possible and stuff that people were all like actually mutants or junk when they wrote that and they were trying to send secret message to us through the comics or something," which was just one of several theories that Frank had, most of which made about as much sense. She grabbed another fistful of fries, shoving them into her mouth and chewing a little messily this time.
"Wizards!" she practically shouted as Solkat brought it up. Frank gestured, which sent a french fry flinging onto another table. Someone went "the hell" but Frank clearly wasn't caring: "Do you think that there's totally wizards somewhere? We totally exist, we being mutants and junk, so who's to say that there's not magic and wizards and aliens and stuff," Frank nodded, then reached down, accidentally grabbing her napkin and tossing that into her mouth instead. It didn't stop her. "I like the way you think, Solkat, very sneaky..." She nodded and reached for a drink, taking a swig out of a soda she'd grabbed at some point. "What do you think of the food?" and no, Frank didn't seem to notice the whisplash of the subject change. "Is it tasty or what? I mean, it's not great, but it's so better than some of the junk I've had to eat," and lo, there was nodding.
Post by Solkat Siun on Apr 19, 2014 10:30:32 GMT -6
"I suppose that could be...." Solkat said not quite believing the idea. It was possible but it seemed unlikely. It was however possible but it seemed a less then likely route. Batman more so because he had no powers but if that was true then the comic writers had a relatively good view of their future. Heros and those with super powers did very well in the comic world usually unless they were being evil.
SOlkat watched amused as Frank's discarded fry flew across the room. "I don't know..." she started to say unable to keep up with Franks rather random topic changes. "Sneaky?" she said thinking she may have missed something in Frank's words. SHe did thinks aliens likely existed somewhere but wizards might have been pushing it unless...."Maybe we are the wizards? she said. What had happened to them sure felt like magic anyway
"It's not exactly mcdonalds but it's ok" she said slicing open another packet of honey with her claw. "Any idea if we can order pizza from the town?" She asked curiously. She liked pizza and school had tought her whatever they served may have been called pizza but tasted more like a brick. As she watched Frank eat she considered Frank being well off a good thing, she could only imagine the grocery bill.
