"Well, I suppose I could have meant the kind of stuffing you put into a turkey or something, but that would be weird," said Frank, wrinkling her nose at the thought. she'd done something like that before, when she'd tried to eat so much stuffing during one Christmas holiday that she'd waddled like a turkey. It hadn't worked out quite as well as she'd expected: she'd mostly ended up having breath that smelled like sage.
There was some slight disappointment in hearing that Solkat had just sort of been wandering aimlessly about. But Frank always saw the silver lining, and in this case, that meant that they didn't have a set destination. So Frank could take Solkat annnnnnnnywheeeerre! "Oh awesome!" Frank said, flinging an arm around her new friend and beginning them walking. Solkat seemed perfectly willing to just go wherever Frank wanted, and Frank certainly had no qualms about letting her feet guide them. "There's totes a whole buncha stuff to do around here. We could hit up the kitchens an' I could show you where I make cookies and steal food and junk. Ooooor we could head to the lounge, where there's all these really cool video games an' stuff. Oh, oh, oh you should toooooootally get into video games! You can just tell them all you're a cute girl and you won't have to worry about people bein' all like 'is she an adorable little skunk like that Flower guy from that one Bambi movie'?" Frank nodded. She also kept walking, already marching Solkat to the buildings anyway. Because reasons.

SHe felt embarrassed she his misunderstood the other girl's signals as her idea of stuffing was obviously different then the one Solkat had considered. Taking a moment to get her errant emotion's out of the way, she decided to let the issue die and move on. Frank was very different from her but seemed like a good person if overwhelming to be near.
"It would be good to learn the layout of the place better. I do enjoy video games actually" she said trying her best to keep up with franks bullet train of thought. Still she thought she heard everything onc eshe had time to mentally process it a few times.
She decided not to mention to frank that most people or animals for that matter did not charge and hug skunks. Most creatures stayed well away from skunk's and let them be, so she did not think she would have to much issue keeping people from hugging her.
"Im sure they will figure it out" she said with a smile as she followed Frank's lead. School was already going better here then it had before, maybe she should just try and be happy with things. With a slight sigh she looked at the looming building before her, she ahd a feeling she would be spending a lot of time here.

"Layout and video games it is!" said Frank, thrusting her hand into the air, finger upraised. She spun around in a circle once, before pointing in a nearly random direction. She took several steps that way, figuring that Solkat would just sort of fall in line behind her. after those few steps, however, she realized that this wasn't quite the right direction to head. She then altered the direction, mostly by swinging her arm in the right direction, "I mean this way!" she said, heading in the direction indicated.
As for people finding out, Frank waved a hand, "Eh, I wouldn't worry about it. Just don't make your handle, like, I'maskunkgirl or something. So y'know, not like mine. I'm Frankeatstuff everywhere, even on the video game stuff in the lounge. I've got loooooads of saves and stuff there. I also bought some stuff to make it super awesome," Frank nodded, then bounced for a moment. She then seemed to remember that she was actually supposed to be walking alongside Solkat. So Frank altered her direction and sort of lunge-walked till she was back besides the skunk girl.
"If you wanna know where anything else, just ask. I can so point 'em out," and Frank pointed in a few random directions, sort of at random again. She knew all the directions though, allllll the directions.

Their were several thing's that made her question Frank had any idea where she was going. Still Solkat was ready to follow Frank pretty much anywhere on campus or off. She stretched her tails out and almost plowed into Frank as she changed the direction they were going. Her ears twitched a moment but she fell in step with Frank anyway.
"The dorm's might be nice, i am in 305" she said suggesting a place to try and help out. She had been there a few time's but the Places layout was big and often with a lot of people to obscure one sight. With Her head Barely over five foot land mark's were sometimes difficult in a sea of people.
"Do you watch anime at all?" she asked curiously, enjoying watching it. Solkat found she was still scared, of the people who ran this place and what she was. However scared as she was, she was also the most relaxed she had been since entering the school. If this was permanent she had no real choice other then to try and make the best of it. Besides the fur was quite warm in otherwise cold temperatures.

"The dorms are thataway!" said Frank, pointing more or less in the direction they were heading. "It's actually sort of,' she altered her finger's direction a little, pointing at the building sort of to the right of the building they were technically heading toward, "over there. It's the building that kinda looks like a prison," Frank paused for a moment, lowering her hand and pursing her lips, "say, I wonder..."
The world would never know what Frank was wondering at that point in time, for Solkat made the mistake of asking Frank a question. Frank whirled around to face Solkat, which meant walking backwards, which the girl had clearly no real skill at, considering that she ran into something about ten seconds after doing it, not that running into anything would actually stop Frank. She considered Solkat 'seriously" for several moments, working her lips a bit.
"Anime, is that the Japanese stuff? Does Pokemon count? I was totally into Pokemon for a while back there, and I've watched some stuff, mostly when it's late and I'm all like jazzed up and wanting to watch something crazy. Why? Do you like anime?" she asked, blinking and looking at Solkat. "'cuz I'm betting you could, like, start an anime club here. There's totes gotta be loads of peeps into that stuff; there was at my last school, and that was all the way in England, where there's, like, less people translating the stuff. Oh, that's the cafeteria," Frank pointed off to her left, Solkat's right, nodding toward the building in question.

SHe followed Franks directions which started to give her more confidence in them. She did her best not to giggle as her new friend walked into something while trying to walk back words. SHe was glad her friend seemed no worse for wear however. SHe was about to mention maybe Frank should walk normally and talk when Frank responded to her question.
"It is and does. And yes i do like anime quite a bit. I don't know about starting a club.....and well you can find it everywhere online" she said with a smile. She was pretty sure their were many other who enjoyed it as well who would be at the school. Still she did not like to start thing's if she could help it.
She looked over to the building called the cafeteria and nodded. "Ah, i have been cooking in the kitchenette in my dorm" she said trying to note the building in her memory. It would be good to remember the location after all. "Come to think of it, i had no idea the school had clubs" she said honestly. Things were all so new still and had littile time to look over all the paper work and things given to her.

"Well, maybe I could start the anime club thing and you could show up and we could get lots of other people to show up," offered Frank. No, it didn't matter to her that she knew next to nothing about anime. She knew next to nothing about how newspapers worked, yet she was still on the newspaper committee. It was actually harder to find a club that Frank didn't belong to than one she did. She was already planning their first meeting in her head, and figuring that anyone who liked anime was likely to think that a skunk girl was something out of a fantasy.
The food seemed to have appealed to Solkat too. Frank couldn't help but gasp at the admission though, adding: "I can't believe you've been doing that! We'll totally have to get the next meal together," Frank looked at the sky, "which I think is tea, or maybe second lunch; I get those confused. But we can totally meet there and I can introduce you to people and be all like 'this Solkat, bitch's cool,' and they can be like 'that dope'!" Frank whooped and threw her hands up in victory, even doing a little backward run and jump thing. "Just stick with me, Solkat, and you'll be fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine," said Frank, gesturing to accomplish the dragged out word.
"That might work" she said positive Frank would not act on the idea. If she did Solkat knew she would feel obligated to come and really she just wanted to curl up in her room and pretend she was normal. Still in a way she was also awhere she might fit in better here then she ever did at her old school.
"I'm a decent cook" she said while Frank talked about getting food together. She had to admit knowing more people would be an excellent thing. Maybe with Frank near by she could more easily meet people and learn to be more then a house mouse, or house skunk as the case might be.
"Sound's fun, iv'e never been that good with people" she admitted. smiling at Franks gesture as well as her wording. She found herself almost wishing she had met someone like frank at her old school. As overwhelming as frank's energy was she was a very nice girl. " Have you seen many other visible mutants here?" she asked curiously.
"SO how did you discover you were a mutant?" she asked curiously. WHile she had woke up furry she had trouble imagining someone randomly trying to eat a brick or whatever the case might be.

"Pfft, we'd totally eat the cafeteria's food; so much better," asserted Frank. "Plus, there's gonna be more people there, and people are awesome."
And if they weren't, then Frank intended to make them be that way. It wasn't precisely her superpower, seeing as her superpower was lame and stupid, but it was probably what she did the best. People just wanted to be happier and more upbeat around Frank, and she was more than willing to encourage that. Plus, she did have this tendency to try and help people "be more awesome," not that she needed many more pluses at this point.
They were making pretty good time at this rate, mostly because Frank always moved at a pretty decent clip, even when she did turn and walk backwards or trip over something. "Nah, I haven't met anyone else like you," said Frank, "and I don't just mean in that whole 'you are special and unique thing' either. I totally would've noticed if someone was, like, walking around with deer antlers or something. Wouldn't that be a cool power to have? Though it might suck around Christmas time..."
Frank likely would have continued talking but, thankfully, Solkat had more questions or at least "question," and it was one that made Frank giggle. "My power origin like totally sucks. I was hungry; I bit a wall and nommed it," Frank imitated this for a bit, providing side effects. "Aaaaaaand that was it. ta da!" now with "spirit fingers." "They probably would've brought a priest in, but by then I was pretty much a lost cau---oooh, fountain!" Frank turned and pointed. They'd gotten to the more decorated section of the grounds now, which, of course, made commenting necessary.

"That will be nice,, i mean the entire school passes through there at some point right?" she asked pretty sure most people were not trying to cook in their dorms like her. This meant if she did let Frank get her to eat with everyone else, she would be in front of the entire school. The idea was unnerving but the idea Frank would likely be there was a comfort that made it seem doable.
SHe was very sure Frank was right, it did seem hard to believe that Frank of all people would have missed another animal Mutant running around. SHe could also think of many reasons deer antlers might not work out so well. "And they would be heavy" she said considering the idea. She had no idea how much they weighed but they were big and she had to bet it would make doors horrible.
SHe had to laugh at Frank's nomming on the pretend wall. Somehow the idea of Frank ripping a chunk of wall out with her teeth and eating it seemed normal at this point. [color=c700c0"You have more energy then a squad of cheerleaders"[/color] she said with a playful smile.
Franks quick attention change led Solkat once she got closer to notice the really nice fountain and garden area which she missed being to occupied with Frank's antics. "Someone put a lot of work into how this place look's" she said taking a quick look with her head as they approached closer. Frank really was a great person. "I bet they were surprised you did not shatter your teeth" she said with a laugh. It was funny to think about.

Frank nodded. "Seems like it, anyway. Most people don't wanna cook on hot plates or whatever you've been using," Frank paused for a moment, both in movement and in talk. "Wonder if that's what you were actually doing..." she said, because clearly thinking in silence was not something that Frank did. She apparently didn't care enough to actually make it a focus for discussion though, instead turning right back to the whole pointing at things and sort of working her way through the campus bit.
"Super heavy!' agreed Frank at the whole antler thing, and, again, the subject shifted. Bouncing from topic to topic certainly didn't bother Frank in the slightest; she seemed to revel in being able to shift effortlessly to whatever was on her mind. Like nodding about fountains and spouting out a "totally" before pausing at the closest fountain. Unfortunately, all the topic bouncing meant that Frank was a little confused on Solkat's last statement.
"I haven't actually tried to eat a fountain yet," she said, nodding to it. "I totally could if you wanted. People ask me to eat weird stuff all the time and I'm like 'sure.' It pretty much tastes like fountain though, sooooo..." Frank shrugged. She still waited though, obviously game for the eating if it was something Solkat wanted to see.

SOlkat was about to ask just what frank was trying to say but the rapidly changing nature of their conversation pushed that aside. She followed Frank's pointing to different things as she explained about them. They made their way at a good rate and SOlkat found she liked the garden area on the simple idea that it was very pretty.
Eat a fountain? Solkat was now confused but decided to speak up anyway, she was afraid Frank might actually try and eat the fountain. "No, maybe not a fountain, i think those cost a lot" she said looking around for something else. Solkat also wondered just what fountain might taste like but decided not to ask unsure she wanted to know.
"I can see why people would ask you to eat things, well maybe you can show me on something less expensive and that tastes better?" she said shaking her head a bit. She had nothing on her that would do. "DO you have an odd thing that you enjoy eating?" she asked interested if Frank liked eating chunks of wall more then fountains. "I am kind of hungry now that i think about it," she said looking over to the building Frank had said was the cafeteria. It looked large enough to hold a few hundred people at least to her.
Frank may have been an overwhelming girl, but it was almost impossible to be depressed near her and SOlkat was enjoying herself without worrying about what she was.

"pfft, who cares about the cost? I'm, like, super rich or something," said Frank, waving a hand dismissively and now eying the fountain like someone had just smothered the thing with icing and presented it on a platter. She wasn't kidding, of course, though it would be hard to tell either with her tone or by looking at Frank. Some people had actually heard of the Cox family, but they had a tendency to mostly invest in projects and buy things while still keeping the name and the original infrastructure intact. It was savvy, but it didn't do a lot to make the Cox name as readily apparent as some of the other names on campus.
And for Frank, it mostly meant that if she wanted to nom a fountain, she could get away with it. She paused partway to it though, considering Solkat's counter-offer, even tapping her lip to make it look like she was being super serious and considering it. "Some of it's not bad. Stone can actually be good if, like, there's been some neat stuff crawling around in it. I like eating cans too," she grinned at Solkat and then let out a little "baa" that sounded sort of like a cartoon goat, or at least what a child would think a goat sounded like. "Seriously though: most cans end up tasting like whatever they stored, only a little tinny," Frank shrugged. She'd already learned that it was almost easier to just eat cans of stuff while she drank, and it was probably what she ate most often, besides candy and junk food.
"Oh, I have snacks too!" said Frank, digging into her pocket. She produced a small packet of teriyaki beef and a half-eaten bag of Skittles. "Though we could totally hit up the cafeteria if you're, like, super hungry. I'm always hungry though; sort of the price for my super power, I guess," Frank shrugged and took a bite out of the Skittle wrapper, absently chewing it and enjoying the flavor, if not the consistency.
Post by Solkat Siun on Apr 2, 2014 19:54:53 GMT -6
SHe was rich to? Solkat's family had been well off but certainly not rich and after the way they parted, Solkat expected little from them. "Well that is good then. SO you can basically devour whatever you want and not worry then? You really could eat someone out of house and home" she said a bit in awe. Frank's power was interesting and Solkat considered that Frank likely never needed a garbage disposal.
"The cafeteria might be good" she said liking both the snacks Frank offered but knowing Frank's questionable behavior and equally questionable eating habits she was a bit worried. Frank might not even consider tossing something like thumbtacks in the bag. She watched again as Frank took a bite out of the skittle rapper. I guess it had to be nice to be able to eat anything you came across, would make survival easy. Trapped in the desert? eat the sand! It never occurred to Solkat the need for water.
"Oddly i have a desire for honey" she said a bit confused why she would want such a thing. Then again, since her mutation she had caught her mind considering much more as food then before though not as wide as frank by miles. She had also resisted all of the urges so far but honey seemed normal enough.
"You have any plans for after you get out of this place?" she asked trying to make small talk but not rally sure about what. SHe ran a clawed hand through her tail fur even as she took another look around campus from their position.
Post by Frank "Sunny" Laffont on Apr 2, 2014 21:12:52 GMT -6
Frank giggled at the thought of eating someone out of house and home. She'd never considered it before, mostly because despite her garbage disposal tendencies, she couldn't exactly pack it in. She opened her mouth to talk about that, but they were already on snacks and the cafeteria. So instead Frank filled her mouth with Skittles and altered their path so that they'd head straight for the cafeteria. Thankfully, that wasn't too far off from their original destination, and not that far from where they were by this point. "We could totally sprint to the cafeteria in like two minutes," said Frank, again proving her knack for thinking something and sort of saying it aloud without even really waiting for the time in between.
"Honey?" Frank repeated, her head whipping to look at Solkat. "Maybe that has something to do with your mutation thing? Do skunks eat a lot of honey? I know bears totally do. Cartoons and junk, though I'm betting it's at least a little true."
Frank then, apropos of nothing, skipped for a few beats, getting them that much closer to the cafeteria. Solkat asked her question then and Frank spun as she landed. "Uh, nothing, really. I'm probably gonna stick around for a bit and go to college here. The people are totally awesome, and I think my parents want me to stay somewhere near Bellefonte or something," Frank shrugged. "What about you? You thinking about sticking around too? I'm sure the school would totally hire you for something," Frank nodded vigorously, then hit a bench, flipped over backward, and ended up sprawled in it, giggling, again.
