Another long day. Rebekka didn't even want to go home this time. The effort of trekking her way back to the house felt like too much. Instead she'd sent a quick text to her grandma. it was half explanation and half apology. She was the only one who could get anything close to a concrete apology from Rebekka. Saying sorry wasn't something she usually did. Mainly because there was barely anything she regretted doing. So why would she ever need to say sorry?
But in this case it was different. It was family. That rare subject that actually could bring out the warmer emotions from the girl. Not that she'd ever admit it. It was the main reason her siblings or grandmother never came up in topic. No one needed to know that about Rebekka. She'd Keep quiet about it for as long as she liked.
For now she just smoked. It was getting pretty dark out. She didn't care. She needed some fresh air before heading to bed. Thankfully they were letting her use an extra staff room. So she could head back whenever she pleased. She decided to take advantage of the quiet instead. Having the whole roof to herself was a nice change.

With the inability to smoke in his room LDR had taken to sneak up onto the roof. He would wait until the dorm monitor had done two rounds, they normally gave up then, and then run up. Most of the time he only smoked when it had been a difficult day or if he couldn't sleep, normally because he couldn't sleep.
He had rolled one already and was lighting it as he stepped onto the dark roof, the fear of someone else being up here had long since left him. The only light that seemed to fall onto the roof was from the streetlights some distance away so it took him a moment to realize someone else was on the roof with him. So he froze, staring at them as a joint was glowing softly from his mouth.
The mixture of bad lighting and bad eyesight made it difficult to recognize the person "H-H-Hey...wa-wasn't exp-pecting anyone up h-here..." From the vague shape he saw he was pretty sure it was probably a college student, none of the teachers really came up here. He stared the dark mass down until it replied.
