Dominick Ian Hunter
FACE CLAIM: Brenton Thwaites
[/div]♦ THE BASICS ♦
AGE: 17
GENDER: Male
ORIENTATION: Heterosexual
POSITION: Bellefonte Student♦ THE ABILITY ♦
POWER: Teleportation
Dominick has the ability to move from one place to another almost instantaneously, he can literally be gone in a blink of an eye. This power is much easier for Dominick to use if he can see exactly where he is going and the distance isn't to great. For example, teleporting to the top of the stairs in a two story house from the bottom of them is much simpler than teleporting to the park that’s three blocks over. Of course if Dominick has never even been to said park, teleporting there without it in his sights would be impossible. Dom prefers to teleport short distances several times to reach a destination than teleporting once to somewhere he knows that's a long ways away, it puts less strain on his body.
LIMITATIONS:
Dom's power does not allow him to teleport other living beings along with himself. He is only able teleport himself and a small amount of inanimate objects with him, i.e. his clothes, a couple books, and other small belongings and even still there are times where he may leave something behind.
SIDE-EFFECTS:
The more Dominick teleports in one day, the worse his headaches become. Teleporting to often and to far can also cause him to feel queasy, resulting in vomiting, and can also cause exhaustion, body aches, nose bleeds, and hemoptysis (spitting up or coughing blood) a less common side effect for him. Teleporting puts quite a strain on his body.♦ THE CHARACTER ♦
HEIGHT: 5'10
HAIR COLOR: Dark Brown (dyes it on occasion)
EYE COLOR: Hazel
MISC: Dominick can be pretty flashy at times. It isn't out of the ordinary for him to be wearing some type of hat, or sunglasses or both on a daily basis. He rarely wears the same outfit in the same two week period and his clothing is never not expensive.
PERSONALITY: If you stepped in a puddle of Dominick Hunter, chances are you wouldn't even get your shoes wet. He isn't exactly a kid who's got to much depth to him, although how many seventeen year olds really do? The baby of the Hunter clan can be easily described as an arrogant self-absorbed materialistic toddler in a teenagers body who seems to overindulge in just about anything a person could possibly overindulge in. For some reason the words "no" and "limits" just don't sit well with him.
Even though Dom can be a little off putting to some people with little patience, a trait he share as well, he would swear he makes up for it ten times over due to his dashing good looks. Although that probably only helps him out a lot less than he realizes, thopugh he does have some good qualities that keep him from being the biggest jerk in the world. Dominick is insanely loyal, that is once you're able to get him to like you even a fraction as much as he loves himself. Also, to a certain degree, he's pretty honest and straightforward. He's doesn't exactly always think things through before he says them aloud and doesn't really pay attention to what may or may not hurt someones feelings, so for the most part you'll never have to worry about what he thinks of you, just don't ask him if that dress make you look fat.
Another key trait of little Dominick's is his obvious co-dependent nature. The fact that he is so careless not only with peoples feelings, but with life in general is due to the fact that he feels that no matter what happens he's got not only his brothers, a couple of the few people he actually loves more than himself, and his parent's money to pretty much take care of any mess he ends up getting himself into.
Dominick Hunter can be quite a handful, however he still isn't all bad. He has this quality about him that at times makes him seem so innocent. some have attributed this special quality of his to the fact that he can be incredibly dense at times and once you mix that with his adorable puppy dog-esque grin, it's not difficult at all to ignore all off his less than admirable traits.
SECRET(S): Dominick is pretty open about most things, he rarely sees the need for secrets. He does, however, smoke cigarettes. If that little secret got out to his parent's they'd probably kill him or cut him off financially. Dom isn't really sure which would be worse, considering out of the three Hunter children, Dom definitely spends the most money.
His brothers did find out the he smokes but they keep his secrecy and aren't above using it as a blackmailing tool from time to time.♦ THE HISTORY ♦
FATHER: Aiden Hunter
MOTHER: Avery Hunter
SIBLINGS: Cash Hunter: Older Brother, Elliot Hunter: Oldest Brother

CHILDHOOD: The Hunter children had a pretty privileged life growing up for lack of a better term. Financially the boys never had much to worry about. Their parents have always had plenty of money and by extension so did the boys. The most troubling part about growing up in the Hunter household would had to have been the fairly unhealthy relationship between the two parents. It was never really a well kept secret that Aiden and Avery Hunter weren't the happiest of couples, and if anything it was even more apparent once Dominick came around.
As a child Dominick didn't understand all to well why his parents rarely seemed to smile around one another or why his father preferred to spend his time at work more than he'd like to spend time with him or his brothers. a relationship like this one between parents and children is never a very great one but lucky for Dominick he not only had one older brother, he had two.
Whenever the two elder Hunter brothers weren't picking on their younger sibling, as brothers do, they were making sure that Dom was never blaming himself for their father's poor choice in priorities. The two older siblings often coddled the little trouble maker just as much as they picked on him.
ADOLESCENCE: As Dominick got older he definitely began to get a lot less coddling from his family and a lot more scolding. His less than desirable qualities started to surface, as they usually do during those teen years, and he started acting out much more than he ever had before. By the time, he had reached twelve, both of his brothers' power had already manifested which meant, aside from his parents, Nick was mostly alone.
The feeling of abandonment mixed with teen angst and a pretty spoiled attitude caused a lot of problems for Dominick, his parents, and the local police force. Between the ages of twelve and fourteen, Dom was in and out of juvenile detention, for several minor and mostly harmless crimes. During these times he stayed in constant fights and arguments with his parents, mostly his mother, which only caused him to rebel even more. With the police and his parents all trying to control everything he did it never seemed like nothing ever got through to him unless one of his brothers were able to scold him, knock some since into him, or his hefty allowances would get cut back.
Eventually, Dominick did become less of a wild child after his parents finally got annoyed with him enough to take advantage of the "do what we say or no money" concept was put to use on almost a daily basis. Dom had become used to a certain lifestyle his cash and material possessions were a couple things he couldn't go without. Especially with his brothers off at school.
The Hunter parent's didn't exactly get to enjoy the less wild Dominick for as often as they hoped they would. Shortly before his fifteenth birthday he too was recruited for the school of the gifted. It didn't take long at all for the recruiters to show up at the Hunter's door after his mother found him passed out on the floor with a bloody nose. The two into a heated argument because his mother didn't believe he hadn't been drinking when he told her he didn't know how he wound up in that state. All he knew was that he was in his room and wanted to make himself something to eat and the next thing he knew he was being woken up by her on the kitchen floor. When she yelled at him to go to his room that's exactly what he did, however he didn't storm upstairs like he normally would have, he just disappeared which led to Mrs. Hunter finding her son in the exact same state she had just found him in moments before. It was then that they realized that Dominick's mutant ability had manifested and just a few days later he was off to join his brothers.
After Dominick began attending Bellefonte, his relationship with his parents did improve a little. They weren't constantly at each others throats anymore. His behave improved slightly and he made sure to do enough in school to just get by. He was also happier than ever to be back with his brothers.
