Space is just a word made up by someone who's afraid to get too close.
Adrianna had heard the song over the course of a few months and the words were constantly ringing through her head. She had never been one of those people that was close-minded when it came to music and although she might not have liked the artist of the song originally, she had to admit, the words and the rhythm had caught her attention and the dancer within her was awakened by that and that alone.
It had been months since she'd done any choreographing of any kind. She'd been so focused on her modeling and her designing and school that she hadn't hardly had any time for dance. Her mother would be disappointed if she'd found out, but even as love was one of her greatest loves, she had to learn how to prioritize and hobbies came after work. Her agency had her booked solid, she was barely making it to her classes on time and was usually dead tired by the time she was done at the end of the day. On top of that, she was constantly working out in the way that the agency had told her. Dance was not enough.
The studio in Kalispell was a small, one-room studio with a wall of windows adjacent to a wall of mirrors. The bar was on the opposite side of the windows, and the floor was visible from outside. She'd always loved walking by, watching the younger dance courses take place because she could remember a time when that had been her and her sister. Since she could walk, she'd been dancing. In twenty years, she'd learned as many dances as she could from lyrical to jazz to a Venetian Waltz and every latin dance out there. Hip/Hop was one of her strongest points and with the song she'd selected, she had choreographed a group dance, as if she could even find a group to perform it.
Adrianna stared into the mirror ahead of her as she threw herself around the room. It wasn't until she turned on a move that she realized she was being watched from one of the windows.
