Taylor tied off the rope to the last stake in the ground that sectioned off the archery range. The range itself had already been built well before he got there, which was a relief, but he'd made his way to the campground to finish up the last minute preparations a day before he was set to actually give the impromptu course on how to use a bow to embed long, pointy sticks into vaguely human shaped targets from a good distance away. It was almost ironic how someone who went through life enjoying it in such a near flippant, free sort of way found himself painfully adept at ending it for other people. One of these days, if Taylor ever lived long enough to reflect on his life, that would possibly be a thought to contemplate.
Thankfully for Taylor no one had ever accused him of being particularly aware of such existential things.
With the job done Taylor loaded his equipment back into his truck and checked in with whoever was in charge at the moment. He went over the times he'd be coming in the next morning and ironed out all the details before stepping out of the staff cabin and starting off for his truck again. It was midday and he had every intention on taking advantage of the rest of his day off until his attention fell upon a familiar sight.
Now curious, Taylor changed course and started for the young woman who caught his eye. Drawing closer only confirmed her identity. Lucy James . The irony of the similarities between now and the first camping trip the two of them had gone on at the same time were lost on Taylor as he moved up alongside Lucy and spoke. "You're the last person I expected to see here." He said with a sly smirk, his eyes shifting to glance at her. "If I'm remembering it correctly, our last camping trip was an eventful one, to say the least."
