Silvia had spent the better part of the day searching for her roommate, and she was growing a little worried. Dory sometimes had trouble remembering things, and when she did not show up until early afternoon (after being gone by the time Silvia got up in the morning), the Hungarian girl was starting to wonder if her friend had gotten lost again. Certainly would not have been the first time.
Dory was one of Silvia's few real friends - in some ways, she was her only friend at the school. Sure she was weird, but who wasn't? They relied on each other with their different quirks and oddities, and it was a nice, symbiotic relationship. Which sometimes also included Silvia having to go and find where Dory had gotten to.
She had been all over the school and the grounds, but there was no sign of the butterfly girl (or any butterflies, really). Silvia frowned as she walked into the woods. Where did she go? Glancing around, making sure no one was following her, Silvia took a deep breath and called out loud.
"DOOOOOOORY?..."
A few trees nearby burst into bloom, showering her with golden pollen. Silvia sneezed and shook her head. This was not going to be easy...

Another day, another forgetful adventure. The girl didnt remember getting out of bed. Or leaving the dorm. Or walking into the woods. Infact, she couldnt remember most of what happen for most of the day. It was almost as if she had been walking around in a haze. She was carrying her note book and a pencil, her finger stuck between the pages.
The sudden call of her nickname brought the butterfly girl back to reality. A few butterflies suddenly began to flock around her as her mind clicked back into its usual rhythm. It took her a moment to realise where she was. Oh poop. She sighed under her breath, quickly dashing towards the sound of her friends voice.
She could see the golden pollen in the air, her body naturally getting a little more excited to the scent. Her hair caught the gold rain, the butterflies around her suddenly settling on her. She rounded the tree, eyes landing on her blonde haired friend. Hey Silvia. She smiled, though she flushed a shade of red.

Silvia noticed the flutter of butterflies (was that the collective noun? Flutter? Flurry?...) before she saw the younger girl looking kind of sheepishly at her from among the trees. She sighed a sigh of relief and walked over to Dory, looking her up and down.
>>"Hey Silvia"
Flowers were blooming all around them, and new ones were poking their little heads up as Silvia stayed near them. But right now, she was more focused on making sure that her friend was all right.
"Did you get lost again?" she asked softly; despite the low voice, a nearby apple tree burst into flowers with alarming speed. The butterflies did not seem to mind. In fact, they were flocking in drunk loops between Dory and the trees "Are you okay?"

The girl watched her older friend sigh, her eyes trailing to the ground in embarassment, watching the flowers bloom around her feet. She always felt a little shy when her memory went blank... it always made her feel horrible.
She frowned slightly when Silvia questioned her, lifting her note book and flicking to her current page. I dont know. I dont remember getting up. I wrote it donw though.. look; She held up her book to show Silvia. 'Got up at 6:21am, got dressed, and then it stops. What time is it? The young girl asked, wanting to know what may have happened between her getting up and Silvia finding her. I think I ok.

Dory looked somewhat confused. Silvia shook some of the pollen out of her hair as the butterflies were starting to settle on it.
"I have been looking for you all day" she said, not trying to shame Dory, simply stating a fact "It's afternoon. Come on."
She offered a hand to Dory; sometimes they walked hand in hand when no one was watching. It anchored the younger girl, and made Silvia feel like she had a friend she could trust.
"It is nice out" she noted, looking around at the flowers and the butterflies; between the two of them, they managed to bring spring to the forest "No wonder you came out here..."

Ive been looking for you all the day.
The girl looked harder at her feet, flushing red. Oh. Sorry Silvia. She said gently, fiddling with her bracelet.Ive been out here that long? She reached out and grabbed the older girls hand, slowly walking close to her.
Yeah. I hate winter. I like it when all the flowers and butterflies come out. She giggled gently as a butterfly fluttered past her. After a few moments she spoke again. I hate winter. I like it when all the flowers and butterflies come out. She repeated, hardly realising that she was doing it.

>>Oh. Sorry Silvia... Ive been out here that long?
"It's okay" Silvia assured her. Sure, she had been worried about her friend, but it wasn't like she had anything better to do. It was the weekend, so no classes, and she didn't have many other friends to hang out with... She held Dory's hand as they walked slowly in the fairy tale setting their combined powers created.
>>Yeah. I hate winter. I like it when all the flowers and butterflies come out... I hate winter. I like it when all the flowers and butterflies come out.
"You said that twice" Silvia said with a small smile. Dory did that sometimes, and they were both used to it at this point. Silvia paused as a nearby tree started unfolding pink flowers, and watched the butterflies settle. "Is something bothering you?"
She was still not sure how Dory's memory worked; but it seemed to be worse sometimes than other times. Maybe if Dory was upset or confused about something, it would account for her disappearing for an entire day...

The doe eyed girl sighed gently, gripping her note book tightly before opening it. 3:23pm Silvia found me in woods. Had memory blackout. She wrote easily and quickly, resting the book against her leg. She then quickly started to jot down their convosation, even without looking at what she was writing.
She flushed red. Did i? Sorry. She said, a little embarrased. I dont think so? I feel fine. Theodora muttered gently, gripping her friends hand tighter

Dory scribbled in her notebook, and Silvia waited patiently. She knew how important it was for her friend to write things down. The notebook served as part of her memory.
>>"Did i? Sorry.... I dont think so? I feel fine."
"That's good" Silvia smiled, holding her hand "No need to apologize... I am just glad I found you."
She was happy she managed to find her friend without alerting the rest of the school, the teacher, or the police. Not that it would not have been helpful - but she knew Dory would have been very embarrassed about it.
"Do you have something to do today?" she asked, peering at the notebook.

The young butterfly girl smiled sheepishly as her friend continued to speak, knowing that her memory was a problem. She frowned slightly at her friends question. Um.. I dont know? She held her notebook up and looked carefully at it. I havent written anything... but I dont know. She looked a little upset, looking at her feet for a few moments.

>>Um.. I dont know?... I havent written anything... but I dont know.
Silvia could tell that her friend was getting frustrated with not being able to remember her day. She did not like making Dory upset, and she did not blame her for forgetting. She just wanted to make sure they did not miss anything important.
"Well if it's not written down then it's not important" she smiled, giving Dory a quick hug "Come on let's go back before they send someone else after us..."
They would notice, eventually. If from nothing else, then from then trail of flowers and clouds of butterflies.
"You know, we could make a bunch of money from this" she chuckled as she hooked her arm into Dory's "Sell it to Disney as an experience or something..."
