Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive, stayin' alive. Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive.
It seemed that the damned Bee Gees song had been stuck in Rhona's head since she had woken up that morning. She had taken to quietly humming the tune or mumbling the song lyrics everywhere she went: in the shower; in her room; in the halls and even now as she stood in the arena facing the numerous training dummies that were lined up side by side.
Her body was bursting with energy and the need to release her power had been mounting up since the day she had last ‘sparked’ out which in Rhona’s mind seemed like ages ago. She stood still as her right hand clenched and unclenched, feeling the electricity coursing through it she lifted her hand and fired at the chest area of the dummies. Her small electric bolts made small fizzing noises as they hit the dummies and getting more accurate the more she went down the line of dummies.
Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive, stayin' alive. Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive.
She mumbled the words as she hit each dummy and finding some amusement when the bolts hit the heart area. She smiled as she trained but she stopped abruptly when she heard a noise behind her. Startled, she turned on her heels quickly to look behind her and without thinking, the electricity crackling in her hand was blasted to the soil close to the person’s feet causing them to fall over.
In panic, Rhona dashed over to the person rambling as she looked down at them “Oh freaking hell, I’m sorry, are you alright mate?”

If Ryan had been normal, she may have had no problem with the electricity, but that wasn't the case unfortunately. Ryan was a metal manipulator, and metal never mixed well with electricity. It had arched a bit and buzzed her feet as she fell over. She blinked and looked up at the person. They were quite obviously apologetic. That didn't stop Ryan from likely being unable to train for a little bit.
"I'll be alright. For now I can't feel my feet. I'm kind of a hell of a conductor, and I'm not talking about the guys in an orchestra." She smirked.
"That being said, your apologies make the whole situation a lot better. Hope you don't mind if I sit down on the job here." She laughed.
"Name's Ryan Alexander."

Looking down at the girl, Rhona let out a small laugh as the girl spoke and mentally relieved that the girl didn't seem angry at her. The girl seemed cool, in Rhona's opinion, with her joking around and the fact she didn't seem bothered that Rhona had quite literally zapped her to the floor.
"Not at all, actually I think a might sit down as well" The training dummies were forgotten about as Rhona grabbed her bag and flopped down beside the girl-Ryan Alexander. She opened her bag and took out one of the many banana flavoured milkshakes she had, twisting the lid open and then turning to Ryan.
"I'm Rhona Reeves" taking a sip of the drink before thinking back of to what Ryan said, "A conductor?" then realising what she meant "Oh, do you have metal powers?" she grimaced slightly at the thought of what happens with electricity and metal. Rhona might not have been a whiz kid in science but even she knew what happens. Feeling guilty about what happened she let out a nervous chuckle and took another bottled milkshake from her bag and asked "Want one? they're really good"

She watched as the other girl sat down and Ryan smiled. She'd known her first impression of this woman was probably right. They generally were. The girl introduced herself and then seemed to connect the idea of a conductor with what Ryan meant.
"Yeah I manipulate metal. And you wouldn't think that would make me conduct electricity better, but there are a few unexplained phenomena with my powers. Like the fact that I set off metal detectors." She shrugged. Then Rhona offered the milkshake and Ryan grinned, taking one from her.
"Thanks they do look good. And honestly, don't feel too bad. At least I've learned who at Bellefonte could knock me on my ass. Honestly, that means that if I wasn't just able to sit on the floor right now I'd be asking to spar with you. I'm always looking for strong opponents."
