[blockquotes][blockquotes]Heather smiled as Alex's presence carried on washing over her, continuing to gently hold back the tidal wave of emotions around her. She glanced around the mall from side to side, a fairly sizable amount of excitement building in her. She hadn't been a girl terribly into retail therapy, she'd been sheltered from the life of a normal teenager, which while she didn't resent, she knew some of her closer friends might. She knew that Drew had back when they were still talking.
But thanks to wonderful friends that she'd made since moving schools, she'd gotten into things like that, and expanded her horizons, as well as being more open and honest about herself and the things she liked, for example her tastes in music.
She glanced at Alex and smirked. "Well, I thought we could start with inspecting some of the clothing store sales, maybe pick you up something lovely for Christmas, and then maybe look at some of the music places? I wouldn't be opposed to buying a few more albums. Then we could finish up by grabbing some lunch or something." She paused and nudged Alex's arm with her own playfully "Sound good to you?"

"Oh, good lord." Alex nearly squeaked her response. Bright, brown eyes lifted to focus upon the taller redhead. "Did you put together a PowerPoint to go along with your plan?" She let out a bit of a lighthearted giggle. "Maybe program an app just for out day out with maps and timers set for everything." Alex's ribbing was all in jest, of course, as she hadn't come prepared with any sort of agenda and she would freely admit Heather's from the hip plan sounded more than appealing at this point.
"Oh!" Alex's entire body jerked as a though struck her. It was though she'd been poked in the side or pinched. "There's this new music store on the second level that I heard has a karaoke machine!" The words spilled rapidly from her mouth as she instantly started to nearly vibrate with excitement. She reached out, grabbed Heather's hand and immediately began to pull her hastily on toward the nearest escalator. "That should be the first place we go. Can it be the first place we go?"
