A muse's coincidence

Serena did find herself wondering a little about how she would have dealt with the meeting if she were a little younger, she did remember several embarrassing encounters with people when she was younger, with one or two of them involving some kind of nudity. She almost laughed at the memory, a subtle grin spreading across her face. She had been so innocent and shy once, it was almost adorable.

She giggled at the thought of Casey sitting at a computer, maybe wearing a hoodie after work, scrolling through facebook. Serena found that any mental image she found these days of another person made her smile, she romanticized it in interesting ways, probably a writers habit to help paint scenes as she wrote them. "That's an adorable mental image, for sure." She teased in response.

Back to the awkward question. Serena decided to dance around it and not give any real details, she guessed if they became decently good friends, Casey wouldn't really mind and would possibly understand Serena's slight habit of secrecy or her shyness regarding her writing and her identity. "Well, stories. Fiction. It's not really a big deal, I mostly do it for fun." She was sort of only half lying about it.

Casey smiled and was about to reply when her phone chirped and buzzed at her. "Sorry, just a sec." She pulled out her phone and saw an alarm going off. She sighed and swiped at it, turning it off. "Remember that subject we were talking about that pretty much everybody hates? Math? Well I need to head off to that class." She slipped her phone back in her pocket.

"I'll definitely text you later though. We can direct each other to our respective Facebook pages and start a poking war that will never end," she said with a laugh.

With a smile outside, but groaning mentally, she stood up with her things in her arms, threw away her cup, and waved good bye to her new friend. 'Damn, she's cute. Definitely going to call her later.'
