"How could you be so fucking stupid!?" Speaking to no one really, as most of her roommates were still out.
She was pacing, which might have not been a good thing. Vera was often on the move, warmed up, she always had to do something, movement was always the answer to her excitement. her pacing came from a different fire. The telekinetic was angry, plain and simple. Vera managed to keep it together throughout the end of the assembly, even a bit before it but when she received a text from Roxana, it was kind of hard to keep that bottled in. And it wasn't Rox that made the young adult mad, it was everything that built up to that point.
Having little to no time to enjoy the cookout was one thing, but the assembly, the corny speech, the news...
The news. That was what made this specific telekinetic's temper flare. Had it been up to Vera, she'd march over to said camp, find the loser who yapped his mouth and made sure he had to find another way to communicate. But no, the staff probably wanted to talk things out, discuss, have meetings, figure out ways to keep everything from falling apart.
And it wasn't that she was ashamed of being known as a mutant, it wasn't about that. It was safety that was on her mind, she cared about her other classmates, about the younger students, about how parents may had or probably will have found out that people outside of the school knew. People who were so ignorant and quick to post things on social media, and other mutants who weren't so comfortable and confident with other people knowing.
This was exactly why she called her girlfriend over; Her temper. She needed someone to vent to, which was usually asked of her by her trauma and PTSD therapist. She was ready to blow.
