Riley chuckled a little at Zoe's remark. Honestly, she would've just been fine if they went in silence. Being together would've been enough. "Hey, we'd be there together. That's all I could ask for." Riley said, smiling. It would be nice change of pace from all the eating, and Riley did like going to see art with her friends. Only it wouldn't be her friends, it would be her girlfriend this time. Which Riley would definitely be ok with.
But they were on the topic of the next date now, and Zoe definitely seemed on board. Although Zoe added a few new thoughts to the date, and Riley nodded as she listened. "True. Definitely go for traffic and make sure it's an hour long or something. And we could go see one of those extremely 'macho' men's films that are as filled up with action as their actors are steroids. And we could go bowling after, and make sure its a special night so it's choke full of people. Maybe the kids day." Riley suggested, chuckling a bit at the whole idea of them planning out their terrible date. This is hilarious.

naturally Zoe had to smile as Riley insisted that she'd enjoy herself regardless. Most of her girlfriends had said as much, and to be honest, Zoe believed each and every one of them. So naturally she gave Riley, the one she was still convinced saw her a little more clearly than the others, as much leeway as the rest of them. She saw, she knew, she'd be fine with it.
Also would be fine with the "awful" date. "I honestly do not understand the appeal of those films," Zoe admitted, letting out a little laugh. "Then again, I'd be one to watch a foreign film with subtitles. We'd probably enjoy that too much. Oh, and I turn into quite the mother hen around children. I honestly don't know where it comes from. I think I just sort of understand them? The whole, being lost and feeling ill at ease with people," Zoe prodded at her food for a bit. "That was my life, until recently. Um, I don't mean to offend but, ah, things were doing good even before you showed up." Zoe gave Riley an apologetic smile before gathering another forkful of food.
"Now they're just truly amazing," she admitted, before taking a bite of the food, enjoying the last few bites of it.

Riley laughed and nodded. "I don't either. The plots are usually terrible and it's just a way for the men to feel all masculine or something. Seriously, I'd much prefer an animated movie with a good plot and character to it." She stated. Really. She's rather sit and watch Miyazaki. Yes, she was a bit of a nerd deep down. So what. Besides, Zoe was talking again. Riley had to smile as Zoe said she turned into a mother hen around children. It was such an easy image to conjure up.
"I could definitely see you being a great mother. You'd be very kind, and definitely understanding." Riley said, her smile warm as she finished her appetizer. There was the bit about her times being good before Riley, which only made the girl chuckle. But the next part about her time being even more amazing now made Riley blush a little. "Thanks. I'm glad it's even better. Cause things are definitely spectacular for me now." She said with a lopsided smile.

Zoe supposed that the whole masculine fantasy thing made sense to her. She hadn't really given it too much thought, and, well, she didn't have any friends that were really into that sort of thing. Even Devyn, the most rambunctious of Zoe's inner circle, wasn't really one to get too into action films or something along those lines. "Ooo, like Frozen!" Zoe chimed, remembering the film they'd watched together all too easily. She had to flush with some embarrassment at that. After all, she'd seen the film far too many times for someone her age.
The flushing only increased as Riley insisted that she'd make a good mother. Not that Zoe was all that surprised; people had been saying things like that about her since even before she'd gotten here. Her parents even said as much. "You're welcome," Zoe said, smiling shyly and looking down. She paused as the waitress seemed to appear, clearing plates and asking questions. Zoe repeated her earlier compliments about the food, let Riley say her own response, and the waitress was off, ready to get their food (which would be out shortly).
"Um, we don't--we don't have anything else planned for... for after this, right?" Zoe asked, shifting and looking over at Riley. She most definitely had something planned. Something that involved what she'd made certain to have on her before leaving for the date.

Riley knew the instant she mentioned animated movies, Zoe would mention Frozen. So when it happened, Riley chuckled and nodded. "Yes, like Frozen. Which I would be fine watching with you again. But this time, I demand you sing all the songs with me." Riley commanded with a playful grin. Because honestly, she'd love to sing with Zoe. it was something Riley did with her friends and her sister, and Riley felt like Zoe should too.
There was flushing at the mention of being a good mother, and looking down. Which meant Zoe probably missed the way Riley's eyes and expression softened to look at Zoe with pure affection before the waitress came. Seriously, the woman had to be waiting to do this. However, Riley definitely complimented the food when she asked questions before the woman went away. And then Zoe was asking a question and Riley looked over.
"Oh! No." Riley said with a shake of her head, curious. "Why? Are you tired?" The way Zoe had worded it made it seem like she didn't want to do anything after. Or that she had something planned herself.

Zoe had to smile as Riley brought up the film again. "But my voice isn't that good!" she protested. "Honestly, I would muck up 'Let it Go' something dreadful and you'd laugh and I'd be quite embarrassed," as Zoe had naturally gotten a little nervous as she spoke, that British accent thickened a little more with the words, causing Zoe to flush all the more.
That flush did not decrease as Riley spoke. "What? Oh, no! No, I'm--I just..." Zoe paused, chewing her cheek, trying to think of how to properly word what she had in mind. I want to seduce you so that tonight you'll be my first: definitely too blunt. Why don't you come to my room with me?: no, that wouldn't work. I've something planned? Was that a little too coy?
Zoe opened her mouth to say that, or something close to it, only for the waitress to appear with food. Zoe almost yelped as the fish plates appeared, but she quickly covered by reaching for her silverware. It was all smiles and grace and Zoe was already moving to pick around at her food, trying to figure out the best way to go about eating it. "It's not too hot, is it?" she asked, totally serious as she looked over at her girlfriend.

Riley chuckled at Zoe's protests and shook her head. "Doesn't matter, and no I wouldn't. I would love singing with you Zoe." Riley stated firmly with a warm smile. Truly, she would. And from what she had heard when they watched it, Zoe was not giving herself enough credit. And with that British accent of hers, Zoe's voice was already music to Riley's ears without her even needing to sing. Wow. You awkward romantic. Her brain stated.
Zoe assured Riley is wasn't because she was tired, but then she seemed hesitant to say anything more. What was on her mind? Riley would've given anything to see what Zoe was thinking. She seemed so torn about something. But then again the devilish waitress made her appearance and interrupted with food that smelled and looked like it came from heaven. And as Zoe asked her question after Riley had thanked the waitress, Riley took and experimental bite and..... Oh.
It definitely tasted like heaven.
Letting out a low sound of absolute pleasure at the rase, Riley shook her head and swallow. "No." She said, grinning at Zoe. "It's amazing. Trust me. Try it." She insisted. She hadn't forgotten the little trail off Zoe did, but she wasn't going to question her girlfriend further. it made Zoe seem so flustered and upset that Riley didn't want to ask, for fear it would only do so even more.

"You say that now," Zoe insisted, and possibly she would have latched onto the topic to distract from what she desperately wanted to talk about and avoid above all else. Except that the waitress again proved her timing all too well. At least this time Zoe felt almost too thankful, and she had to fight the urge to mouth as much to the girl as she took the food.
Riley bit first. Zoe actually paused in her poking around to look at her girlfriend, waiting with baited breath to hear the result. The noise that came out of Riley did all sorts of things to Zoe, a few of which were highly inappropriate for public. "It can't be that good--" she said, before finally spearing a bit with her fork. She put it into her mouth and ended up letting out a noise that was somewhere between a squeal and a moan of her own. She waited till she'd chewed and swallowed it (a finger of course going to her mouth) before looking over at Riley.
"They must have someone back there who has some sort of mutant ability to make food taste delicious," Zoe insisted, already gathering up hers for a second bite, "because I refuse to believe this is somehow mundane."

"I'll say it later." Had been Riley's reply with a chuckle before the food was brought and her tastebuds collectively died in ecstasy. Zoe herself seemed doubtful, and Riley only had to grin at her girlfriend's belief. Finally Zoe seemed to want to try for herself, so she cut off her sentence and speared some fish for herself, eating it. Zoe ended up making a noise that made Riley swallow and beat back some thoughts that definitely should not be there.
Riley ate more food to keep her mouth and hands occupied while glancing at Zoe. The little gesture she did was so cute, and made Riley calm enough to let her laugh and shrug. "I would not be surprised. This is almost too good to be true." Riley agreed, eating more of her dish and savoring every bite.

Zoe was practically wiggling in her seat as she took another bite. At least this time she managed to suppress the noises that started to bubble up from within, swallowing them back down and resisting the urge to give any more indication than the all too pleased look on her face. It was smile and swallow before speaking again, of course, despite Zoe's excitement.
"If everything tasted this good, people wouldn't be insisting I put on more weight," Zoe said she went for another bite. Before she took it, however, she stopped to take a drink, knowing that she should slow herself down and pace things out. "I almost want to take a photo of it so I can remember it, but that just seems too pretentious," Zoe already gathered another forkful and gave Riley a slightly embarrassed smile, "that and it would mean I'd have to stop eating, and I don't think I want to do that right now. About the only thing that could get me to stop is if you wanted to kiss me, and even that might have to wait."
And in the food went again, with another happy wiggle from Zoe.

So delicious was the food that Riley actually missed out on Zoe's little wiggles of happiness. Which would've made her sad had she not been busy smiling and eating her own food. Zoe seemed as happy as her to eat up all the food, which made Riley happy to see. Even Zoe commented on how if everything tasted like their current meal, no one would need to bother her on weight. "Maybe we'll just eat here all the time." Riley said with a smile before taking another bite.
There was the bit about taking a picture of her food that made Riley chuckle and then the next remark that only a kiss could make her stop eating. Riley couldn't help but look at Zoe with a grin and a raised eyebrow. "You do know that just makes me want to test that." She teased

The comment had Zoe laughing. "I couldn't afford it," she admitted, smiling. "But I do know that you can make food like this without having to quite shell out as much money... if you've a lot of talent and some time," Alice had shown her that much, and Zoe had the good fortune to experience that with some of her other friends as well. Not surprisingly, creativity extended to food as well, and quite a few of the people that Zoe met saw her thinness as a personal challenge of some kind.
Which made this deliciousness all the more appealing to Zoe, really. She couldn't help but smile as Riley chuckled, however, more than a little pleased at drawing such a reaction out of her girlfriend with relatively little effort. The next comment had Zoe flushing. "Perhaps later," she said, digging in and poking at the food some more, "after I've eaten some more," because it was really good. Zoe's eyes went wide. "Do you suppose the dessert will be as good too? Now I'm not sure if I should finish this off for a dessert or indulge myself..."
Because Zoe didn't want to be too bloated. At the same time, she definitely needed to have some energy for the activities she had planned later...

Riley nodded at Zoe's comment about making the food instead if you had enough time and talent. Which made sense. And Riley would definitely prefer not flaunting her money around much. The only one she was really spending that much money on was Zoe. And even then she wasn't spending nearly as much money as her siblings normally did. "That would be fun to try doing together." Riley commented.
But then Zoe was flushing again from Riley's comment and poking at her food. However, Zoe didn't object to the idea. Instead she simply said 'later.' Which definitely meant Riley was going to test that theory somewhere. But she pushed those thoughts down for the time being and instead focused on Zoe again as she continued talking. Riley chuckled a little and shook her head.
"I definitely think the desert will be amazing too." Riley stated with a smile. "And you can do whatever you want, Zoe. If you want to finish your food, we could get desert to go and eat it together some other time." Riley offered. She wanted her girlfriend to feel completely fine if she didn't want to eat too much. Zoe didn't have to force herself to eat.

The thought of cooking together nearly made Zoe giggle again. "You really do not want to try and cook with me," Zoe said, looking up at Riley and smiling. "My last girlfriend was a chef, remember? She tried. I almost set the stove on fire while trying to boil water for pasta. I'm quite good at dicing things up though," almost eerily so. Zoe wasn't sure where that skill came from and it definitely wasn't something that she wanted to think too deeply about.
No, instead she was going to dwell on whether or not it was appropriate to gorge oneself or save room for dessert, particularly when you were planning on more... rambunctious activities later. Riley didn't help matters by being almost too nice: "You're supposed to be helping me decide, not spoiling me," Zoe argued. "That and fattening me up. Everyone says I'm underweight and need fattening. Every time I run into some of my friends they're offering me candy bars."
Zoe sighed but kept on eating anyway. It wouldn't have been quite so funny if it weren't at least partially true, she supposed...

Riley chuckled a little as Zoe insisted she was a terrible cook. Even to the point of almost setting a stove on fire heating water. Although apparently good at cutting things up. Riley took another bite of her food and swallowed before shrugging at Zoe. "Then we're definitely adding that to our next date. We'll try to learn together." Riley said with a smile at the girl. Because why not? It really could be fun, even if neither of them would be able to eat the results.
Riley couldn't help but grin at the first part of Zoe's argument. "Don't you remember that I said I wanted to spoil you?" Riley teased playfully with an impressive waggle of her eyebrows before she chuckled and got a little more serious at the next bit. "And while I do agree that you should gain a bit more weight, I'm not about to start forcing you or something. I'll just encourage and support you." She said before tapping her own plate with her fork. "Because this is actually a good amount of food, and more than I've seen you eat normally in a while. So you don't have to eat the dessert right now too."
