The question actually made Sam pause. What was she doing? For a moment, the blonde had no answer and she stared at Alex for a while before she mustered a half-hearted smirk.
"Just what exactly, Alex?" She asked, moving a touch closer. Sam was a determined person, exercising control was her domain and Alex was easy pickings.
Her hand grazed the redhead's jaw before pulling it up so they could look at each other properly. Sam got close, close enough that the slightest move would cause their lips to touch.
But that was the last thing on Sam's mind. The pyrokinetic was still putty in her hands and she knew that now. The smirk came back in full force.
"I really should get cleaned up." Sam said, releasing Alex's jaw and turning to the shower. She did a quick rinse off of the soap on her body and the shampoo in her hair, all the while actually wondering what Alex's next move would be.

Sam could feel the trembling of Alex's body even through the gentle touch of the redheaded girl's jaw. Alex's cheeks were growing hot as every little look or subtle movement served to enrapture her even more. Sam was a great deal of firsts for Alex and, she supposed, the blonde would always have some sort of sway over her. Regardless, even Alex was shocked at how quickly she'd been reduced to a blubbering mess in the presence of the blonde girl.
There were no words in response. The moment Sam's fingers left her skin Alex breathed a sigh of relief and couldn't help but stumble back a step. She was out of the small pocket of warmth the showerhead provided but she didn't dare venture closer again. Her arms went up, wrapping around her body again as if that could possibly shield herself from Sam's influence. Alex looked around for a moment, before she reached out and quickly snatched her towel off the rack on the wall. "Good bye, Sam." She said, hurrying to wrap the towel around herself as she went to rush out of he shower, silently praying that Sam would let her leave.
Hearing the goodbye, Sam couldn't help but chuckle. She supposed she should have felt guilty but it had been a small moment of empowerment. She still had a hold on a person she had been separated from years ago and that felt good to the nineteen year old.
"Still got it." She brushed her shoulders off and nodded in approval of herself.
She finished up her shower, whistling Coldplay's 'Fix You'.
