Alice Rivers
FACE CLAIM: Ebba Zingmark
---------------------------------
AGE: 15
GENDER: Female
ORIENTATION: Hetrosexual
POSITION: Student
POWER: prehensile/animated hair
Alice has the power to not only change the length, texture and make up of her hair but she can also control her hair as if it was an appendage with. This means with very good concentration she can make the strands of her hair stick together and sharpen enough to cut things that come into contact with end or harden enough that it can hurt if someone comes into contact with it using force. She can also use it to open doors, wrap around people, pick up things or generally just moving it around as if it were flailing arms but this requires less concentration than other things.
LIMITATIONS:
She can only make her hair grow four inches longer than her current height.
-She power only works on herself and she only control the hair on her head.
She can only change her hair to make it razor sharp or hard as steel for ten minutes at time because it requires concentration and control she doesn’t yet have to make it last longer.
She can only use her hair to lift half of the weight she can lift with her arms. Although right now it's like a fourth of that
her hair while not an actual part of her body (muscles, arms, etc) acts like a muscle, it can get tired and have too much strain put on it.
She can’t change the color of her hair without dying it using chemicals.
She change the texture of her hair as far as hair textures go such as soft, coarse, silky. She can not make her hair sticky or any other thing texture not associated with natural hair textures.
SIDE-EFFECTS:
She has to have a really strict balanced diet, making sure she doesn’t over or under do it or her hair will cause more strain on her scalp making the headaches worse.
She she’s hairless except for the hair on her eyelashes, eyebrows and head. Her power causes the hair follicles on other parts of her body to not produce hair.
she sometimes cuts herself on her own hair when she’s brushing it or just playing with it
it’s very hard to maintain her hair, she has to wash it in special shampoo, comb and brush it constantly to prevent tangles.
Her scalp is very sensitive due the constant strain on it by her hair.
the top of her head can become very sore and more often times than not she has to pile her hair on top of her in a bun to prevent the pain from becoming too much.
Her hair sometimes moves on it’s own the same with growing and shrinking.
Prolong use of her power can cause give her headaches so severe that she passes out.
Sometimes her hair grows too long and refuses to shrink.Hey girl, open the walls, play with your dolls
We'll be a perfect family
Okay so my name is Allison, Alice for short and i’m officially fifteen years old. There’s nothing really to tell, My family thrives on secrets and playing pretend and my grandmother is obviously the ringmaster. Okay so i grew up in the UK, and everything was always perfect hair, perfect clothes, and proper pronunciations. You were either born with it or not and apparently I was but not really. My mother was always telling me that my grandmother cared and I guess in her own way she did but I never really found any proof. I mean I really did try, I learned how to play the piano, violin, saxophone, and the guitar. On top of the dance classes my mother suggested but nothing was ever good enough. I pretty much gave up on her and let her continue playing pretend with her friends.Everyone thinks that we're perfectPlease don't let them look through the curtains.
As I got older things kind of went a bit haywire, I mean sure I always listened to my mom and my grandmother but things never really worked out. There were times when other old ladies would bring over their daughters. They’d have looks of pride and love...I never really got that from grandmother and my mom was always too busy playing kiss ass. So I entertained myself with making up stories about my father’s tragic death or him being a circus performer. I told it to the kids of course, and they told their grandmothers. Not that it got very far as she was quick to set them straight, some lie I wasn’t around to hear her tell.
Eventually I decided to dye my hair and change the way i dress, my grandmother hated it but my mom convinced her it was a normal thing for a fourteen year old to do. Although I did get a lecture on how red wasn’t a very appropriate color, it was stuck there for awhile because I kept redying it, so she gave up. I still went to dance practice and kept up with my instruments. I hung out with all the right people and made good grades, there was nothing really wrong with my rebellion than the bright make up my mom made me wash off constantly.
No one ever listens, this wallpaper glistens
Don't let them see what goes down in the kitchen.
My Mother was the type of person who believed that you needed to keep all your cards close to your face. I’m pretty sure my grandmother isn’t too far behind in all of that, I was taught that if no one was around to see you break than it didn’t happen. I pretty much live by that even now, and since she’s gone everything she’s ever told me or taught me runs through my mind constantly. Sometimes it even drowns out my grandmother’s lectures about being proper and sitting up straight.
My mother died a week before I turned fifteen, she was in a car crash and I spent every single night except for two by her bedside. The last two days I had a cold and couldn’t go to the hospital, She died on the seventh day. We had a memorial service and then we moved to America. The night we got there she decided to tell me everything, like the guy that had always visited I assumed was like a cousin...was my brother. That he and my dad died and I had an older sister. That was also the night my powers manifested, I kinda felt like she knew what was going to happen.Picture, picture, smile for the picturePose with your brother, won't you be a good sister?
Yeah apparently I’m a mutant and it was activated that night so yeah. My hair grew really long and started moving around and cutting up the curtains. I’m pretty sure someone else was hurt but I passed out and then yeah. About a week later I was sent to Bellefonte academy and had a met up with my sister. It was really weird, having a sister but now I won't be stuck with only my grandmother for like ever. I guess school is going okay, I'm still a bit shell shocked from everything. I'm trying to get to know my sister because....family is important.
