Delilah watched with interest as Charity had held up her newly-completed beaded owl, and she acted as if she was only glancing at the Owl occasionally, but she actually was pretty interested now in the craft. "Ah, I see," started Delilah in response to Charity as she began talking about how they used to be popular.
"I don't see a problem with continuing to do something from your childhood," started Delilah, flashing a supportive smile in her direction. After all, Delilah kind of held on to most of her hobbies and moral ever since she was a young child, so she could slightly relate with her roommate.
Delilah slightly widened her eyes at the comment of her beating guys off with a stick, and blatantly only grinned at the remark to be polite. "Yeah, I know the feeling.." replied Delilah, trying to think of something to say to further the conversation.. or even IF Charity was interested in talking to her.
"..Well, the circumstances suck, but I'm glad I finally got to know my roommate a little bit.. We've lived together for a little now, but we've never really talked." added Delilah.

Continuing something from childhood. The way Delilah said that made it seem, well, even more childish than Charity had expected. The defensive urge arose in the woman again, especially as she was fairly certain that she was the older one here (though it was a bit harder to tell with Delilah than it was most of Charity's fellow staff members). However, she just closed it, realizing that it was probably a compliment or some sympathizing or something else along those lines.
"We give it up too easy," Charity continued, nodding slightly. Charity adjusted it again, considering. Deliah seemed to understand her, at least on some level. They both liked art, they both got that you didn't need to take your inner child out back and beat it into submission, and apparently they were both dateless wonders.
"Yeah, that seems to happen,' Charity agreed, nodding and looking back. "I've seen some of the others from time to time, but sometimes it even feels like a rotating door. Most of the others have apartments or something. Heck," Charity let out a little laugh, "I've been looking for one and saving up. Not that, uh,' she smiled a little abashedly, "you're awful or anything. You've been great, and so are the others. It just feels a bit odd to be living in a dorm at our age, you know?"
She let out another little laugh before looking back to the owl, adjusting it. Yes, she wanted a place of her own, so she could do crafts and only have to explain it to people she invited in. Or maybe just to take that adult step, which suddenly felt very necessary to Charity for reasons even she didn't want to analyze too deeply.
