In a way, Erika found their little cat and mouse game to keep things interesting. They no longer had to hide their feelings, so it was all nothing more than innocent fun. But still, it was fun. Harmless and innocent. Nothing that could harm either of them in the long run. And it wasn't as if the brunette was actively shutting him out. Instead, she simply issued something more of a challenge. It wasn't much, of course. Nothing more than opening a door, but it was more so the meaning behind it.
Once the door opened, the brunette leaned back against the wall as the hot water cascaded down around her. Her eyebrow quirked slightly at the words her fiance uttered and she reached her hand out for him. Even she knew better than to let the joke run cold. She had as little control around him as he had with her and she could only keep pulling away for so long. Even now, she could feel her breath getting caught in her throat as a sheepish smile formed on her lips.
"You're one to talk," she replied, her voice soft, and with that, the brunette took a step forward. One hand found its way around the boy's shoulders, whereas the other reached for the door, pulling the boy back with her as she quickly closed it behind them.

Drew needed very little coaxing to go along with Erika's eager pull. He stepped into the shower, his hands immediately finding their way to the wet, olive skin of his fiance. There had never been a lack of physical attraction with Erika. He'd found her achingly gorgeous from the beginning and this was only strengthened by the love and adoration that threatened to overwhelm him whenever she was near. Whether he liked it or not, he was powerless around her and, for once in his life, he was comfortable with this fact.
"You are wily." He said playfully, pulling her to him. Drew knew they were about even when it came to 'winning' these little exchanges and graciously accepted his defeat. It wasn't as if either of them didn't end up getting what they wanted in the end anyway, as it usually happened to be exactly what the other had desired all along. "And gorgeous." His tone lowered, growing more serious as he spoke the words. He'd never been one to lavish Erika with praise or compliments. Neither of them were. It was merely a given that they both loved and found the other attractive. In a way, it had felt almost sterile in spite of the immense passion the two of them shared. What had changed in the months following their initial break up Drew could only speculate. It had been a changed for the better that was the furthest thing from Drew's mind as he leaned in to press his lips heatedly to Erika's.

"I learned from the best." The response fell easily off her lips and she returned the playful tone. Everything she said and did around the boy fed off of the feeling she got around him. The way her heart skipped a beat whenever he looked at her, or the surge of emotions that went from the pit of her stomach and spread throughout her body whenever he touched her. There was a sense of security to be found within those beautiful brown eyes of his, and she constantly felt them pull her in and she didn't mind one bit. "Mmmhmm," she spoke softly. "You're not so shabby looking yourself, Love Muffin," she grinned. Willingly, she let the boy pull her in once again.
Her arms snaked around him, her fingers digging into his skin as she returned the kiss hungrily. The steaming water did nothing to chase away the raw emotions that followed whenever he was around. Even know, she could feel it pulsate through her entire being. It made her heart beat faster and her breath to grow unsteady. She even swore she felt light headed, and she loved every damn second of it. Drawing her breath sharply, the brunette's head pulled back just enough for their lips to brush against each other. "You make me really happy. You know that right?"

The playful utterance of the pet name Drew was alleged to abhor did nothing to quell the unbridled passion that he felt the moment their lips met. His grip on her tightened as the intense fervor in which he kissed her with grew. He had long crossed the threshold where the gentle love he carried for Erika shifted to a deep, zealous heat. Erika's sudden admission, as much as Drew already knew, gave him pause. Hearing the words meant the world. After everything they'd gone through they had finally ended up right where they belonged from the very beginning. "I do." He said softly. "And I'll do whatever it takes to keep it that way."
At that moment Drew gave in to the lustful urges that mingled with the affectionate adoration. There was more urgency in his touch this time than before when they had first arrived to their hotel. That was more about the love the two shared in the wake of the proposal. This was more raw, almost carnal as the two satisfied their purely physical desires within the shower before the affair spilled back out into the bedroom.
"At this rate we're never going to leave the bedroom." Drew said once he'd finally gotten his breathing under control. One of the errant blankets had been pulled back onto the bed and was now haphazardly draped over them. He could still feel his heart pounding in his chest and the last remnants of pleasure lingered in his extremities. He leaned in and kissed Erika again, an arm moving around her to make sure she remained close. "God, I love you." He breathed heavily as his eyes closed not from exhaustion, but to savor in the afterglow and the warm presence of his fiance.

This was something she would never tire of. Not just the love the two of them so obviously shared, but the passion and amazingly great sex that followed. It was almost insane just how little it took for the boy to push. every. single. button she had and pull out such heated responses. How she ever managed to keep her hands off of him she didn't know. How she managed to stay in the same room as him without ripping his clothes... Well, it only went to show just how often they found themselves in this kind of situation.
Propped up on her elbows, Erika's head dipped back, her hair cascading onto the mattress below. Uttering a faint chuckle, her eyes rolled. "I'm not sure if I'd actually mind that," she breathed. Her heart was pounding in her chest, and she could still feel the slight tightening inside her stomach, but she was none the worse for wear. He pulled her close then and she swiftly moved her hands to allow him to do so. Her arms found their way around his neck as she shifted, one leg draping itself over his. "I've noticed," she grinned, her lips pressing against the soft skin of his shoulder.

A low, throaty moan escaped as Erika's lips found his shoulder. Every touch remained like the first. Love for Drew had been merely an abstract concept until Erika came along. It was foolish to feel like this for someone. Foolish to give someone such power over him. Drew was supposed to stand on his own with only his sister by his side. They weren't taught to love. They were taught to conquer. To control. Nothing about this felt like either. If anything he had subjugated himself and given himself over to the unreasonable urges of his heart.
With his fingers tracing lazy circles across Erika's skin, Drew remained silent for a long while. The thin smile on his face responded in kind to Erika's comments. Yes, as ridiculous as it truly was, just being able to laze around and simply be with Erika was enticing and he had gone to great lengths to show her how he felt. There may have been an internal conflict raging inside him less than 48 hours ago but it was long gone. They still had a long road ahead before they would be where they wanted to be and Drew was looking forward to the journey. Nothing could pull him away from Erika. Not anymore.

Shifting slightly, Erika moved them around, so that the young boy was on his back. She moved to lay on top of him as she cupped his face in her hands. She peppered his face with short, but loving kisses. This moment was perfect. Everything about it. She was as happy as she possibly could be. Everything felt right in the world. It felt as if they finally had found some kind of balance. A shimmer of a light that fueled the hope within her chest, telling her that despite everything else, the two of them could actually cross every mountain and valley.
It was foolish, it was ridiculous. But she would stop at nothing not to give this everything she had, even if that meant fighting until the very last second. "Hm," she began, her lips hovering just above his. "Erika Conner. It kind of does have a nice ring to it, doesn't it?" she mused, her lips curling back into a grin. However, she didn't allow the boy any room to answer before her lips was firmly planed against his again. Her hands then traveled down to his shoulders, circling around them as she pulled herself close once more.
Ah yes. This was where she belonged - and would always belong.
