[Roxana Strix]

Roxana was no fool and she did at least get Elsa Bellefonte on some levels. She knew a likely person who she would talk to this about and that there was also the risk that Elsa might try and do a bit more digging on the manner. That was why she warned her to be careful, but also again it could have all been part of a test. As for what she said next, there was a reason why they could not have a deeper talk about her organization. It was not that hard for them to check in on her at any time and it was very possible her brother was listening in on all of this right now.

That was why they needed to stop somewhere where so she could set up a device that would allow them a moment of time to not be heard. However; she was not going to explain as much, because if Elsa was really interested then all she had to do was say so. Elsa did bring up another point about how else she could get answers, to which Roxana gave her a look. Yes, of course Elsa could obtain information that way, but Roxana didn't like that, and she would put up a fight in the process and that could lead to hurting the both of them; or mainly Elsa.

"I would prefer if you did not." Roxana responded back simply and left it at that. The next question had her sitting in the silence for a moment as she thought of how she wanted to answer. She did chuckle slightly at Elsa's last bit of words about passing some test to know some more information. "Perhaps this is your test. Perhaps I'm acting out against my father for not allowing me to go through rehabilitation and just telling you things that I don't see that harmful for you to know. It could even because I have a...let’s call it a soft spot; for you." Roxana answered.

She was keeping everything very vague for several reasons, and one of them was that she was honestly not fully sure why she was telling Elsa these things. Her minds was busy thinking about how she had tried to talk to Elsa before she left and wondering if she should say it now as they were nearing the school. She could say it, drop Elsa off, and then drive away to be done with it all. That seemed like a plan, but she had to time it right.

Prefer if she did not. From most people, that was almost a challenge, one that Elsa would have no problem rising to meet. From Roxana though, it was a request, and worded as such and put in a way that Elsa simply nodded. She wouldn't, at least for the time being. SIGURD still hadn't made itself quite enough to draw her attention. Elsa had a feeling that it would soon, but for now, for now what she had was good. Though at the same time, that was making her realize how much she still needed to know...

including the motivations. Roxana provided several, flinging them out almost too fast. Elsa could feel the thoughts bubbling, Roxana verbally seizing them the moment they came to mind. That wasn't rehearsed, that was something she'd had to put together to hold off for something else. Elsa looked out the window again, considering.

"We are friends," Elsa said again. She looked back to Roxana. "I'm not using that to pry more information from you: I just wanted to state that again, reiterate it. It's part of the reason I was willing to call you for a ride. I could call just about anyone, including my family's driver." Elsa paused again, looking back out the window. "And I also think it's good that you're opening up, at least a little. It's what I've had to do, and it's been good for me so far."

Roxana understood how easy it was and how there was probably a temptation for Elsa to do as she liked and just go ahead and read someone’s mind. The other girl had the power to do so and had a lot of practice with it. Rox just didn't like people in her head, it was one of the few places she could have to herself for the most part. Everything else never really felt like it was hers and even her mind was often dug around in and she just want Elsa so be yet another person that did that to her. She wanted to be able to tell Elsa things when she felt ready and if it was actually safe to tell the other girl certain things.

When Elsa said that they were friends, Rox just gave her a quick glance. Yes, she knew that. They might not have done what most friends did but they were still friends on at least the level of trust or something. Rox was still uncertain about it all, but she was uncertain about a lot of things involving Elsa and some other people. "It is because we are friends that I'm hesitating about telling you certain things. I do not wish for you to treat me differently or..." Roxana started to say but then trailed off. She had a feeling Elsa could possibly find out because of her brother Vlad, or maybe even Elsa's brother Abel would say something to her.

They arrived at the school at any rate, just as Elsa was saying that she thought that it was good that Rox was opining up. Roxana didn't think it was good, she viewed it as something that was weak, and would be the final push that would be why she would be worthless, and end up dead. There was a bit of wiggle room for Elsa to be weak...not Roxana Strix. Roxana pulled her car to a stop at a place she could drop Elsa off, putting the car in part, and just decided to go ahead and get it over with as he father had suggested. "Elsa, I like you." Rox said, and then paused for a moment to let that settle in before she went on.

"Yes, as a friend but...a little while ago I started to think that I like you more than that. I'm still uncertain about the matter but I've asked things, researched, and looked into it." Roxana said, her tone the same as always but a little softer, almost like she was going to start whispering. She did get that Elsa didn't feel anything like that towards her, the other girl had said as much in the past long before Roxana even felt anything like this towards her. Rox did not expect anything out of it, but perhaps telling the other girl would make the problem go away. Maybe reject was the key to not having such thoughts...such emotions or feelings on her mind.

Hesitating? Again Elsa found herself wondering what was going on here. She kept quiet, mostly because she could practically hear Roxana trying to work through it and figure things out. There was definitely something going on there, and yet again Elsa had to fight back the urge to start poking around in Roxana's head. She could always hold that as a last resort.

The vehicle pulled up to the school, Elsa had offered her opinion, or what of it she could. There was a moment of silence. Elsa figured it was going to stretch and she moved to open the door. Word stopped her. She turned to look at Roxana. She blinked. Like... her?

Apparently as more than a friend.

Elsa could distinctly recall mentioning that to Roxana several times, almost teasing the other girl about it. She could hear the words, almost read the thoughts at the same time. Like her more than that. Uncertain. Researched. was Roxana attempting to come out to her? Elsa did like girls, well, she liked people after she got to know them.. but she didn't feel that way about Roxana.

"Do you want me to fire you?" she asked, looking back at the other girl and saying nothing else.

Roxana would not say that she was coming out to Elsa, not in the way of saying that she liked just females, males, or both. She didn't feel this way about anyone else bedsides Elsa and Ellen. Sure they were both females but she was not attracted to them because they were females. It went much deeper than that when she actually thought about it but she tended not to allow herself to think too far into the idea. It was not like it would ever come true and even if it did what would it change?

She doubted her family would approve or fine the whole idea laughable that anyone would want to be with the third child in Roxana's family line of work. Sure it would mean money, protection, and access to certain things but it was Roxana Strix. Rox was well aware of how other saw her and could not even think of anyone feel what she felt towards Elsa and Ellen. She hardly understood what she felt towards them; it was all...foreign, dangerous. While she did expect to hear that question from Elsa, she did not think that it was going to be the first thing out of her mouth.

"If these specific feelings I have towards you make it uncomfortable to be around me, then I understand if you do not wish for me to be in your company and will turn in my resignation." Roxana said, her tone still the same as always. That would only mean that she would give Elsa her space and not be her official body guard. Yet, she of course was still going to look after the girl in the way that she did with her targets that were unaware of her watching them. That she could not stop, it was her actual job that she was going to do regardless of how Elsa felt on the matter.

"I do apologize that I feel this way. I have tried to fix it and it was part of why I went back home but other matter that they felt were more important came up and I'm still trying to figure out how to do away with these...feelings." Roxana said. It felt weird to say feel, feelings, and again to tell Elsa all of this. They were where Elsa wanted to be, so it would be easy for Elsa to just leave at any moment.

Hmm, this was definitely delicate, especially considering that Elsa could just extend her mind over and start sifting through Roxana's thoughts without really having to try. She purposefully pulled her mind into itself though, making sure not to even catch surface thoughts. It was difficult, especially to someone like Roxana, who she knew so well. But it was the least Elsa could do.

As well as listen. She shook her head. "No, I don't think I'll be that uncomfortable. I'm a Bellefonte, remember?" she smiled wryly. "Not a one of us is straight," the smile faded, "but while I'm attracted to, well, quite a few people, you know that I don't see you as anything other than a friend. I don't want you to think that I'm going to someday get drunk and wind up in your arms or anything silly like that," no, that was Vera's job, if any of Elsa's female companions. "It's more you I'm thinking of here. I'm giving you the out if you want to take it.

"Because I am with Felix now," she looked at Roxana at that. "Which you knew before you even spoke." Meaning that Roxana had to know that there wasn't going to be anything from Elsa. Which meant that there had to be some kind of other reason for the revelation, something that Elsa was still attempting to figure out.

This whole subject was one that Roxana really didn't want to have with Elsa; it had been hard enough to have with her family and SIGURD. Of course she told them both because she didn't understand it and knew that it was affecting her job. She was talking orders from Elsa when she should have been doing what she was actually there for. Yes, part of it was because she had a lot of respect for the girl and what she was saying made sense to do. Yet, at the same time; or at least recently for the fire event, she should have left it to others to handle.

Elsa assured her that it would not be uncomfortable for her and pointed out that she was a Bellefonte, which Roxana didn't see why that had any relevance. She knew of Elsa's sexuality, or at least knew that Elsa liked both genders but it went more than just liking both genders for her. She understood that and she also understood that Elsa didn't feel that way about her; that was clear long before Roxana started to feel the way she did. She sat there in silence as Elsa talked, not bothering to look at the other girl and just took in the words, hoping they would change something within her. "I am aware. I would not try to take advantage of you in such a situation anyways, because I understand you do not have feelings of that nature towards me." Rox pointed out.

She was one to give someone what they seemed to want from her, but because she actually liked Elsa; she would not just give her a drunken desire when she knew Elsa didn't like her that way deep down. That felt sneaky and she preferred to only do that sort of thing when she had been ordered to. Roxana didn't understand what Elsa was getting at by saying she was giving her an out. That read clear on her face for a moment as she looked forward in a slightly confused state. Roxana was about to say something but Elsa added another bit, about her being with Felix. Roxana of course also knew that, none of what was going on was any new news.

It was not even having the desired effect Roxana had expected or more so hoped would happen. If anything...something hurt? Roxana just gave a small nod. What else was there to say? A whole lot was swimming around in her brain from questions, confusion, and wondering if she should tell Elsa about her talk with Felix. Instead, Roxana remained silent about it all as she reached to push the button that would cause Elsa's door to automatically open. "I will do my job as I have always done it. I hope you have a good rest of your day and let me know if you need anything of me in the future." Roxana said, her tone almost like it normally was but there was a hint of something else there.

The confusion certainly; over why the rejection still didn't make the feelings go away. Perhaps she just needed time.

It was a rather odd conversation to have, though Elsa had almost been expecting it. In some ways, it felt as though many of their past conversations had been building up to this moment, deciding what to say to one another should this somehow come out. Roxana insisted that she wouldn't take advantage, that she wouldn't mind.

Elsa kept silent, as she did; she kept her mind to herself. Elsa could almost feel the slight hurt there... but what was there to say? No one had ever confessed feelings for her that she didn't reciprocate in some form or fashion. Even if they didn't, she might have slept with them, either for statement or boredom or who knows what.

Always do her job, let her know. Elsa nodded. "I'm glad to hear it," she replied, her voice neutral. There was still some confusion there: Elsa could see it on the other girl's face. She hesitated though, not wanting to say or do anything about it, not for the time. The time just... just wasn't right.

"Is there anything else you need to tell me?" she asked, tilting her head slightly. "Though I'll fully understand after that if you'd rather get some space..."

It really was an odd and complicated conversation, especially for Roxana Strix who never thought such a feeling was even possible for her. She never thought too much about what she actually wanted, besides when it came to art. Yet, here she desired two people; Elsa Bellefonte and Ellen Banks, yet she understood that they did not desire her as well. She understood that and practically could guess how her conversation with the two of them would go. Still, she had wanted to say it to get it out there in hopes that she could go back to being herself.

Right now it was hard to tell if it was doing anything besides making her feel something she could only relate to the feeling she got when someone was disappointed in her. She tried to not think about it too much at any rate but did desire to not be around Elsa for a little bit. She was not even sure why she wanted to be away from the other girl now, but she just did. Elsa remained silent for it all and Roxana didn't even feel her in her mind. Part of her was happy for that and the fact that Elsa was glad to hear that Roxana was still going to do her job.

Then there was a question. Yes, there were things that Roxana did have to talk to Elsa about; important things even about her brother and why he was possibly here. Yet, she didn't want to talk or share any of it at the moment. "No, and I have other matter to attend to." Roxana said, a lie. Well she did have other things to attend to, just none of them right now. Why did I lie? Roxana thought to herself but she remained looking forward, just waiting for Elsa to leave so she could close the door and go drive.

Other matters.

Elsa looked to Roxana, her bodyguard, her friend of sorts, for some time after those words. She outright stared. tHey both knew that was a lie of some kind, even without psychic powers to prove the point. The silence was Elsa's way of letting Roxana know that, know that yes, she did know that Roxana was attempting to lie and doing so in a way that let Elsa know more or less what was going on there.

"I suppose that's that then," Elsa said. She hesitated a moment longer, then grabbed the door, pulled, and was out of the vehicle and the conversation.
