POWER:Earth manipulation is for the most part, what it sounds like; the manipulation of the earth. With this said, someone trained in this art has the ability to move earth and earth based materials. This basically is mostly the moving of dirt and dust but is not limited to just these things. Sand and many times large rocks are included frequently as well. Amanda's power, is connected as much to her muscles as it is to her mind. When she works to manipulate the earth around her it requires her whole body, or at least is made easier, and thusly also act as a sort of limitation at times. It looks and functions much like a “bending” power would; (like in avatar) she has to complete gestures and/or motions with her body, often the entire body but not limited to, in order to move dirt and such. This requires a fair amount of space most of the time, although Ananda has grow more control at doing this with tighter motions. In a world where she was really good at what she does, she'd be able to manage it with just a flick of her wrist but at her current training she is unable to, or at least in small quantities, maybe a small handful of dirt; but being able to is something she works towards. In Amanda's case, the various motions and movements pull earth and earth materials out of wherever they are and bend them to her will. It's like pulling against invisible weights which requires a good deal of focus on her end as well as muscle strength and because of this she tries to go out and exercise quite frequently as well as lift weights, even if they aren't super heavy it's more so to keep control over what she has already.
Limitations
-Amanda is not able to create earth; she needs an existing source around in order to do anything
-Her power is linked to her mental and physical strength which means the more tired she is, the more quickly her ability fades and so on.
-The harder the form of earth is the more difficult it is for her to work with
-With her current training, she is only able to have her own body weight of earth suspended in the air. The more she has suspended in the air though the harder it is to keep there.
Side-Effects
-Headaches after too much use
-On occasion a bloody nose will result from overuse of her powers
-Her muscles get tired after a lot of use, or training
-Is almost always covered in dust or has dirt in her hair

EYE COLOR: A unique emerald-like green.
MISC: She has a scar on her left side from a knife wound, the actual story is not all that interesting (to her) so she usually has a different story every time someone that sees it, asks her about it. She will often times (nearly always) dress herself in darker colours, even though she isn't emo, she just feels that the blacks and greys suit her better.
PERSONALITY: Strong and silent, and this is exactly how she is and is said to be. Until you really get to know Amanda, a fellow student or teacher will probably not see her true self. She tends to be very stubborn and once her mind is made up, swaying her even a little is very rare. If one does not try to push, she tends to come across as being laid back and reserved. She isn't shy, but she prefers to be alone, being as she is afraid if hurting people close to her again. She is very loyal and will stand beside a friend until the bitter end.
Amanda is very in tune with her emotions and will rarely display them. When she is hurt, usually only emotionally, she tends to shut down on herself and refuses to let people in; she mostly does this in fear of being seen as weak or weaker than others. Time is the most effective way for her to heal/reboot, whether she was angry at someone or any other reason she is upset with someone or sad.
SECRET(S): Come on, everyone has their own secrets they don't tell a single soul, right? At least Amanda does. Amanda's past is, well, to say lighty, not very happy. She has yet to tell anyone the real story as to how she came into her powers, and what was the result of that.

CHILDHOOD: Amanda grew up as the beloved daughter of David and April Stephans, two mutant telepaths who posed as a doctor and a speech therapist. Her parents and the parents of five other children that were slightly older than her, met every year, leaving their children to play together. Each of the children believed that the adults were all talking about boring things like stocks, or something so they never bothered to find out what this meeting was about.
Her parents were young, and taught her as she grew up to always want/try to do what was best for everyone, and in a way, she was a pleaser, she wanted to make everyone happy. She was always super kind to everyone and her parents praised her for it. What she was unaware of though was the fact that her parents were trying to right the wrongs they were doing/had done in the past. She loved them and they loved her, or so she thought. She was their princess and always would be, even when they had her brother their affection for her never faulted and vice versa.
ADOLESCENCE:That all changed though when Amanda was thirteen. She would never understand that she was a pawn in something, and when her parents found out they couldn't stand for what their higher ups wanted for their kid and a few others, they held a meeting with the parents of the kids that were to be 'used'. While the parents were away, some of the kids went through a secret passage way that her younger brother had found when snooping around for Christmas presents. The meeting was being hosted by their parents that particular year. Amanda, being the good girl she had grown up to be stayed behind in the game room with another one of the children when the other kids went to investigate. They all came back so terrified looking, but they wouldn't tell the young girl anything...because she was younger than almost all the others.
Later that night, everything in she thought she knew changed entirely. She awoke in a haze to her parents and all of the other parents of the five children surrounding their kids beds. Naturally she was scared and confused, but her parents assured her it was okay and they told her to go back to sleep. She tried. Normally she never had trouble when her parents reassured her. This time was different however. She closed her eyes, and soon after she awoke again, but this time to one her mother standing over her, a knife in her hand. Amanda looked at her mother, sitting there stunned and confused as her mother raised her hand with the knife, into the air. She didn't understand very well then what was going on, but her instincts kicked in and told her that she was not safe. It was at this moment that her power manifested and she performed her first feat of strength. Violently, Amanda turned to one side, she was young and slow and her mother caught her in the side...in a scream of pain, anger, and betrayal the roof above her mother collapsed and buried the woman... then promptly fell unconscious.
When she awoke, she grabbed a few clothes and ran to a nearby forest, unsure of anything and distrustful of all, or at least minimal trust for few. As she moved, the dirt behind her seemed to follow her as she went but she didn't pay much mind to that due to her still being in shock of what had happened the night before. It was only a couple days later when a few men in unique uniforms came stomping through the forest, well, to her it seemed like stomping. When they approached her they explained to her that she was being taken to a new school, one where nobody knew what had happened and everyone was like her: to some degree at least.
This sounded like paradise at the time and the relieved child followed them and let them take her to Bellefonte academy where she would spend her next 5 years, training and working to control her abilities. In the beginning it was out of fear, but after the first couple years it became simply because she wanted to better herself.
ADULTHOOD: She recently turned 18 and is approaching the end of her junior year at Bellefonte. She has had thoughts of trying to join the security team when she graduates but really isn't all the sure; she hasn't really stressed about it either thought since she does have a whole other year as well as the option of going into college. As far as everything else though, she has been training hard and working on furthering her skills on defense, because at the moment she is mostly an all or nothing kind of attack, which to be fair has worked just fine for her, but she is aware that won't always be the case.
