"Neither does my power, but you don't hear me going off on it,' Charity replied almost tersely, adding a slight nod. she did understand to some degree though, for precisely the reason she'd just mentioned. There were just parts of them that were always on, always some part of them. Still, Charity wasn't sure she really appreciated the whole head analysis thing when she was trying to help him out right now.
The guy kept going, kept insisting that he could handle it. Charity was just glad that she could actually tease someone else for a change. She very nearly made a comment about the shoe being on the other foot, especially as he grew flustered and started backing up on the bed. You'd think that the guy had never been around a girl his own age before.
As for misinterpreting: "It's an infirmary," Charity pointed out, pointing at the floor, "people are supposed to take stuff off to get treated. but whatever," she rolled her eyes and turned, "you can just keep acting like a kid or something. Just take care of yourself and I'll give you a lolly or something," she had to smile at that, trying to pretend like she wasn't thoroughly enjoying being on the other side of the teasing for once.

She kept teasing him and he felt his head boiling despite his best efforts. She reminded him of all the grown men who'd liked to tease him when he was at parties with his parents. How old was she anyway? HE was the one acting like a kid now? He snorted, sending her a glare, just staring as she continued her mockery, the vein on his forehead pounding heavily with each taunt until-
"FINE!" He said suddenly, angrily staring at her and flushing. It'd been so easy to annoy him but, really, look at her! She was acting like- like- an idiot! Ugh. He couldn't even think of a good insult. "Fine." He said again in a much calmer voice, standing from where he'd been sitting and already moving to remove his pants. "But if someone misunderstands the situation YOU ill be made responsible for-" Actually, she would only make things worse, wouldn't she? Well, he could only think that since she'd managed to make things worse for him back at the office. "Never mind, If something happens you let ME do the talking!"
Terry neatly folded his pants and placed them on the bed, flushing slightly at the thought of being pantless around a woman he'd just met. Cut him some slack, it'd been a while since he last was with a woman and situations like this tended to go... places. At least in movies. He coughed into his fist, trying to forget anything about any late night movies he could've caught before and moved to sit on the bed. At least he was still wearing boxers, which at least were long enough to appear like shorts, though the idea that they were underwear was still messing with him.
"Fine then." He said awkwardly, avoiding her eyes and trying to sound uppity. "Heal me then."

Fine fine, Charity nearly did a little dance of celebration as he finally blurted that out. She allowed herself a little bit of a grin, her mouth opening. When he insisted that he do the talking, she just rolled her eyes. "Because you're so charming," she couldn't help but say, nearly adding a bit more scoffing.
However, she'd "won," as much as you could really call it that. So more scoffing would probably be totally awful and Charity was already starting to feel a bit guilty. Plus, now that she was actually given permission, she wasn't quite as sure as she had been. Yeah, she'd been super confident when she'd bugged and teased and offered, but a lot of that just melted away as he'd finally dropped down to the boxers.
"No problem!" Charity chirped instead, she grabbed almost at random, coming up with some towels .She tossed those to Terry first, figuring that he could start mopping things up or something along those lines. It didn't take much longer to find alcohol pads, and soon Charity was peeling open packages of those, getting them ready.
"This is probably going to sting," she said as she picked a wide pad out, eyeing Terry, "like, a lot."
