She didn't pay most of the students a whole lot of mind. Why would she? Sure, she recognized plenty of the powers, but neither of which that made the girl even bother to look up; at least not until she noticed the all too familiar presence of a very specific power. Making herself smaller, Lucy huddled further into her seat as she leaned her head against the window. With her beanie still tucked over her her head, she simply sighed as she felt the presence stop next to her seat; she had almost hoped he wouldn't be here. Almost.
"I thought we agreed on no pet names," she replied stiffly. Pulling the beanie off with a sigh, Lucy turned to look at Taylor, her eyes narrowing slightly as he slid into the seat next to her. So much for being left alone. Ah well, she supposed there were worse people she could have ended up sitting next to, like those damned twins lurking somewhere outside.
Looking away again, Lucy's gaze traveled towards the window. Staring at nothing in particular, Lucy pursed her lips. "Morning."

Cade didn't have to go. Honestly that surprised him after the mess he created defending Devyn, and carrying around that sword. Which was still confiscated or he would totally bring it to hunt. It was unfair that it was still confiscated. He'd heard Devyn was required on this trip. So he was tagging along, hoping for an opportunity to apologize profusely for what he'd said and done over spring break. Packing his bags, he'd packed some dried food, clean clothes, and had a swiss army knife on him. He hoped they wouldn't take it away. Otherwise it was just typical camping stuff. He wasn't a trouble kid, after all. He was technically staff. He was technically allowed to chaperone. Kind of. He lined up to get his bags checked anyways though.

There was no real point in Vera complaining, nagging, asking questions, or pretending to be some sort of smart ass. She didn't want to be here, plain and simple. Matter of fact, the last time she even chose to go to the woods on free will, she was attacked by the little dirt gnome who was also on this trip. Who the hell signed her up for this anyway? Sure, she did some underage drinking on campus, and she totally fucked that one Director out in the open but that was pretty much as bad as Vera 2015 got and she was also technically like.. staff, kind of. Sorta.
She didn't see the older staff members who ended up sleeping with younger students getting signed up for this bullshit. Because let's be honest, it happened way more than everyone wanted to admit.
Her hazel eyes traveled from the over-dramatic Jackoff McCatnip who she'd have to tune out with the sound of her own sanity, a few other unfamiliar faces, oh and let's not forget about the dirt ball who she was sure wanted her dead the last camping trip. Then of course there was Cade and Devyn. One which she was actually glad had been signed up and the other which... well, let's just say Vera had the need to randomly kick Cade in the balls... just because.
Okay maybe because of territorial issues.
The moment Vera chose to step up to get her bags checked next, a younger student rudely cut in front of her. Wasn't she that little cunt that everyone called a mini Vera? Which was complete crap by the way. "Yeah, let's act like we're not all getting on the same bus. Go right ahead."
Once that was out of the way, she made her way on to the bus and found an empty seat.

Well, at least the students seemed to be more or less heading onto the bus without much fuss. Yes, Jack McCarthy had thrown a fit and several were complaining quite loudly about how they definitely didn't want to be there. They were dividing up into little groups, as always happened on events like this. Most paired off, and Charity certainly noticed that one of the guys headed toward Lucy James. She wondered if she should separate the two of them: the last thing she needed was Lucy spreading her awful influence to someone else.
However, there were other things to distract. First was the Hispanic girl that Charity didn't immediately recognize. She smiled as the girl spoke with her following the little shouting exchange with Lucy, hoping that she might actually get something of an ally. It did seem as though at least a few students were enthused about it (and some were perhaps a little too enthused, judging by the near maniacal way they bounded onto the bus, almost too prepared).
As Selina continued though, Charity found her smile fading into a look of hurt confusion. What had she done to incur the girl's wrath so quickly? Charity hadn't even met the girl before now. Her power was water manipulation, which wasn't something that would have mood swings...
"Um, that's nice," Charity managed, keeping her voice as chipper as possible. "Just head onto the bus. And," she looked to Devyn, nodding, "the trip will be a week. I think your gear's all checked out Miss Solway," she nodded and then turned again, pointing at another girl, "you really shouldn't have tent poles: we're going to be making our own shelter. Everything else checks out. Atksinson, Wiley, Marcello, everything checks out. Martell, we'll go with the knife for now. One instance of it being used inappropriately and it'll be taken away."
Charity clapped her hands, waving. "Everyone on the bus! We'll be pulling out soon and anyone not on is going to be left behind!"
Which obviously some of them wanted, though they wouldn't like the repercussions of missing out if they'd been assigned. It did seem as though nearly all the students were here already. Charity thought her list was complete, anyway. She was already scanning it, doublechecking just to make sure.

Jade was sure she lost all patience and straight up cut someone in the line. They weren't moving fast enough. Why the hell should she have to wait when they had somewhere to be? The sooner they got on that stinky ass bus, the sooner they'd get there and then the sooner the trip would be over and they could go back to whatever they were doing before.
"Yeah, let's act like we're not all getting on the same bus. Go right ahead."
She swatted the air behind her, "Yeah, yeah. Thanks. Whatever." Could she just shut up already? Sad to say Jade only really knew two people on this trip and it just had to have been the twins. Great, now she could have some fun and bug them the whole entire camp experience. After her bag was checked, she flashed a smile at Charity and winked at her as if she was playfully checking her out. "You should've totally checked between people's ass cracks. I think that one Jasper kid said he hid a cellphone and a bomb between his just because he knew you guys wouldn't checked." She threw her hands up, "Just saying."
Jade then grabbed her bag and headed on the bus, and took a seat behind the twins.

Yay, he got to keep his knife. As if Nico wouldn't simply go and sneak it on later. He kept standing there a while longer while people moved around him. He didn't recognize most of them, though he did notice that Selina and the overly perky idiot teacher seemed to have some sort of argument or something. Nico wasn't sure what that was about, and he wasn't going to get involved if he didn't have to.
He did feel the smaller black girl literally walk through him for a moment, and he had to dive to make sure that he didn't drop his bag or end up leaving his shoes. Once Nico was sure he had everything, he nodded, gave Selina a quick look that showed he sympathized, before heading onto the bus. He'd opt for a seat somewhere in the middle, away from the crazed hobbit girl and definitely away from the overly perky madwoman and her muscle bound goon.

Ryan clapped when they approved everything but the tent poles. Whatever. She knew how to build a shelter. She could be creative. She wasn't an artist for nothing after all. Besides which, they approved the jewellery and it was metal. She could do so much with that jewellery people would be wondering why they hadn't thought of it. Of course the answer to that was because they didn't have her powers to work with. But still. She stowed her bags and took a seat. An empty one. There was no point in this if someone wasn't stuck next to her and having to make polite conversation. Preferably someone she could torture because they didn't want to talk. That really was always preferable.

Cade picked up his bags and walked onto the bus, sitting down. He didn't sit next to Devyn because he was afraid of bothering her. Again. But he did kind of wilt as soon as he sat down. He really needed to stop this before he resembled a lost puppy anymore than he already was. Maybe a survival camp would help with that. And maybe everyone would stop seemingly thinking he was a wuss. He had the impression they did, anyway, even if they hadn't said as much.

Ok, they had every student on the list on the bus, and it seemed like everyone's bags were checked out fine. Charity did one last look on her list, nodded, and then stepped onto the bus. It did seem as though they may be short one chaperone, but Charity was fairly certain that she and Spence could handle the mess between them.
"Alright, go ahead and shut the door!" she chirped, though she wasn't sure if Spence was driving or they had hired someone else. Whoever would no doubt get them closed and get the bus started. "It's time to start our experience!" Charity chirped, looking down the rows of students. "So I just want to remind everyone to stay seated for the duration of the trip. We'll get our spots picked out and set up shelter when we arrive," Charity nodded and then brought her hands together again, "so there's that. Make sure that you're all settled, and this should be fun!"
Charity smiled again, turning and heading for a seat near the front, though still looking at the students. Should she start getting them to sing together, maybe? As a bonding experience? Or should she give them some more time first? Charity pursed her lips, looking them over, trying to figure out the best course of action for all these poor students.

As soon as Devyn was in her seat, she was out like a light. Not immediately as she sat down, but after some rolling around and getting herself settled, she curled up and went to sleep. She would not have minded sitting with anyone but she figured they would all want to sit by themselves. Plus she planned on sleeping the whole trip because she still had not completely woken up. She was pretty sure her pocket knife was pocking her a little bit, but that was her fault for moving it to her front pocket when she sat down. Oh well, none of that mattered now.
Even the conversations and what else was going on the bus didn't matter as she drifted back into her deep sleep she had been in before she made her way over to the bus. She was pleased her bag had passed the little checking and she wished she had been more awake to flirt it up with Charity. After all, who didn't want to flirt with the delicious woman? Devyn knew she did and just hoped that at some point during the camping trip she would get the chance to. There were also a few other people on the bus she wanted to talk to, but that would be worried about later.
