[Roxana Strix]

Roxana let out a sight at Elsa’s words, knowing that Elsa was not going to just drop the matter now that she had went as far as to make an inquiry. There was the edge in Elsa’s voice that said as much as well and Rox was well aware that Elsa had enough skill to break past her barriers. That didn’t mean she was just going to let Elsa in, she was still going to fight it. It was how she was trained, to not give in no matter the pain or how hopeless something seemed. Yet, she honestly preferred to just tell Elsa what she wanted to know if it would keep the other girl out of her head.

There were things there that she didn’t want Elsa to see, not just because there were secretes and information that Elsa didn’t need to know. Roxana had a pretty good memory; some even said it was almost close to a photographic memory. She didn’t want Elsa to possibly come across certain things that she had done…but perhaps that would keep Elsa out. Rox was about to say something about them moving to a better location if they were going to talk about this, but the words caught in her throat at the next bit of words from Elsa. She would start an international incident if Roxana didn’t come back?

That conflicted feeling started to spread through Roxana again as she felt her face grow a little warm for a moment. Was that because of their friendship or was it because Elsa would end up losing an asset and it would give her a slight reason to try and go against SIGUARD. “Can we please relocate to somewhere less public?” Roxana asked, already moving towards the exit. If she was going to talk about this topic, she didn’t want to do it in a store, not in a place where people could see or hear what would happen. Please get out of my head and stay out, Elsa. I do not wish to force you to come across things that might give you nightmares or haunt your thoughts. Roxana thought, sending it right to Elsa.

She knew the thoughts would be loud for Elsa then, and she did it on purpose. She did not want the other girl in her head, she wanted no one in there, and it was the only place where she could have something at least half way to herself.

Elsa looked over at her friend, raising a brow at the mention of going somewhere less public. Roxana had joined Elsa, not the other way around. This was what Elsa wanted to do, part of why she was here. It wasn't as though she could visit shops that sold locally made Mexican goods back in Montana after all. And she didn't see how going somewhere private was going to make this easier.

"Most of these people only understand us in passing," Elsa replied coolly, "and they're not listening as long as you don't--" there was a mind message, one that had Elsa stopping cold. She looked at Roxana, her expression flat, hard.

"Apparently you forgot that I once witnessed my sister being tortured first hand. Through her eyes I saw her being tortured, someone who is closer to me than anyone else could possibly be, someone who shares my face. And that's not counting holding Ellen's hand while she bled to death and watching as my grandfather gave up his health to save her. Or watching as I sent people to their death. Not to mention the wonderful image of so many people I trusted sleeping with my enemy," Elsa straightened, tossing her head slightly. "So if you think you have something in your mind that would possibly give me nightmares or haunt my thoughts any more than the collection of bad memories, you clearly underestimate me."

Elsa waited a moment, then turned. "I'm also not leaving. If you want to, you know where the door is."

Another sigh exhaled out of Roxana as Elsa was being stubborn about a change in location, when Rox didn't see it as that big of a deal. Was it that hard to move somewhere with less people just to make your friend feel a little more at ease when talking to you? Elsa made her point, but that didn't really change Roxana's mind on the matter. People could have still understood them, especially because they were in a tourist area and most just pretended like they didn't know what the tourists were saying.

Rox was just having a hard time dealing with the problem, and Elsa expected her to be able to just say it when others were around? It didn’t matter if they understood them or not, they were still around people and it didn't help settle Rox down enough to be willing to talk about the matter. Elsa was then responding to the mental warning with her own words about things that haunted her mind. Rox knew that such things bothered Elsa and that was why she gave the warning. She didn't want Elsa to have even more thoughts and while Rox was pretty sure there were things in her head that were worse then what Elsa had to deal with.

Granted, Roxana had gone through training so what she saw as bothersome was not that same as what would bother Elsa. So Rox just didn't say anything about it and looked away for a moment to think of what she should do now. "I don't underestimate you, I just don't see the need to try and damage you in anyway. I don't really want you knowing all that I have done or what is in my head in general." Roxana said as she ran a hand through her own hair. Elsa said she was not leaving, which had Rox hesitating for a moment. However; she started to head towards the door to leave because she still could not remain here if Elsa wanted her to tell her.

Elsa made it clear she was not going to leave, and Rox did not want her in head so Rox was just going to leave. There was someone looking after Elsa anyways, so the girl would be safe from harm and coming here was something that Elsa had wanted to do. "Good bye, Elsa." Roxana said as she headed off, planning on going as far as she needed to get out of Elsa's range and not stopping unless Elsa said something.

There were two options right now. Elsa could follow Roxana, at least keeping her in range. Her power could delve into the other girl's mind even if she couldn't pry words out of her. Something was definitely going on there, something that struck Elsa as being quite serious. She didn't know what to do about it, how to even go about addressing it without driving Roxana further away.

Or she could wait. She could simply remain where she was, act as though seeing Roxana storm off and move out of range didn't bother her. She felt like that was what Roxana wanted, and she further felt like Roxana deserved that on some level.

So Elsa remained. She nodded at the greeting, waiting for a few moments before sending a mind message just as Roxana started to leave her range: if you need me, you know where to find me.

And then Elsa waited a moment longer, before turning back. She had authentic souvenirs to buy: she had a feeling she didn't want to forget what happened here.

Roxana didn't know what she wanted from Elsa, other than for the girl to move away with her so they could discuss things in a one on one environment. She was already having a hard time just thinking about it and did not to talk about it in the presence of other. Even if they understood them or not, she didn't want to talk about it around anyone but Elsa. Elsa didn't want to leave and Roxana didn't hear her following her; meaning that there was no point in sticking around. Roxana didn't plan on going back and Elsa didn't seem to be changing her mind on following after her so that meant that Rox was just going to leave.

She had to go back to the ship and make sure that she was all packed up for when she would end up leaving for home. she expected that she would have more to do then just a simple break and get to see her family. She was looking forward to it either way, but she had wanted to talk to Elsa about what she was feeling. No matter now. Hearing the words in her head had Roxana pausing for a moment, internally debating the matter. It was still a new experience to hear Elsa in her head, but she had recalled the girl's power improving.

Rox didn't try to send a message back and instead just went back to heading for the boat to pack up and make sure everything was in order. She would talk to Elsa if and when she would return, which she didn't know when that would be. She figured Elsa would be fine, there was someone around looking after her in Rox's place and her leaving did not seem to bother Elsa.
