NAME: Nicholas Scott Darwin
NICKNAME: Nick for the most part.
AGE: 26
GENDER: Male
ORIENTATION: Heterosexual
POSITION: Bellefonte Trainer and Phys.Ed Teacher
FACE CLAIM: Steven Strait
POWER: Super Strength and Durability (yes, again)
This power is exactly what you'd expect it to be -- Nick has an incredible agility to defy weight limitations, but of course, not the completely break them. Dense, lengthy or overweight items are easy for him to move and are simple to use in nearly any manner. He can crush, lift, throw or catch items of great weight. He also has heightened physical durability, the ability to endure and resist damage. It allows him to take numerous blows of internal or external assaults before succumbing to the effects.
Considering how long Nick has had his powers, lifting a car is easy for him. He does however have more issues lifting a truck -- he can lift generally up to two mid sized cars, of course, not without a lot of strain (7000 pounds, whereas a truck would weigh 80.000 lbs). He can lift larger boulders, people and objects. His power is not something that can be turned off either, meaning that Nick has to be careful not to hit, kick or punch someone since these effects could be fatal.
His durability makes him capable of taking a lot more damage than the normal human. His physical strength is much higher, which makes him able to resist a lot more damage before coming injured -- this does in no way mean that Nick is invincible however. When he first gets damaged, it takes Nick much longer to heal since the injuries is going to be fairly severe, and it'll take him much longer to get back on track.
LIMITATIONS:
- Balance, gravity and mass will still affect him.
- He's still susceptible to Newton's Three Laws of Motion
- He might damage environment/other people without intending to or noticing
- The durability is not the same as invulnerability, and therefore he can only take on so much damage before it takes effect
- Again, when he first actually gets damaged, it takes him much longer to heal and get back on track
SIDE-EFFECTS:
- Sore muscles, joint pain and general stiffness in his muscles and joints
- Exhaustion, tiredness and headaches
- Back pain; often having pain in the lower parts of his backs and shoulders.
The name's Nicholas Scott Darwin -- pretty ironic last name there, yeah? Yeah, I think so too. You probably expect some long story about how that came to be, but in theory, the name brought enough attention back in school that I never really cared to find out. If you really want to know, I suggest asking my dad -- or something. He'd probably know. Anyways, according to what I've been told, I was quite the beautiful little baby. Brown eyes that made just about anyone melt -- dark hair, though that wasn't until I got older, and of course, a shit-eating, panties-dropping smile -- sounds sexy? You bet!
My childhood was fairly normal too. My dad works with sports -- as a sports reporter -- and that has pretty much become a family tradition. Well, maybe not exactly like him, but somehow being connected with sport. Swimming, football... You know the deal. I was quite talented when it came to football - so, that's what I spent my time doing, growing up. Football and swimming, along with partying and friends took up most of my childhood/teenage years -- much to my father's approval. I was gonna become a star athlete.
But we're getting a little ahead of ourselves here. Let's trace back to my actual childhood; when I was around ten, my parents had another kid; my baby brother. Nathan Darwin, the most annoying little piece of shit that exists, but I took it on myself to train the little thing. Someone had to teach him about life, right? We got pretty close, I'd say. At least until that little monster became a teenager. We're still close -- even though neither of us would ever admit to it.
Then I turned eleven and all hell broke loose. I manifested, and got recruited within the day, considering how my family lives in Kalispell and all. And I continued living at home, so it wasn't all that different either. I mean, I could suddenly lift things I hadn't before, and this really helped me become a better athlete, so my father was more than thrilled, as you can imagine.
The older I grew, the more interested my love for sports grew as well. Most of my time was spent training, partying and fooling around. I have to admit, during my highschool and college years, I had a way with the ladies. They seemed to fall around me like flies, and of course, I didn't mind. It just meant more fun for me, he he. Of course, I had amazingly good looks, so it got me my fair share of pretty ladies.
I never dated them, though. I was more of a one time only kind of guy. Yeah, I used them. But heck, I was young and I couldn't care less. I just wanted one thing from them, and they gave it to me without hesitation, and even more so. Me and my friends on the sport team seemed to be on the top of the social pyramid. We broke rules, we drank, we fooled around and we had fun. Like most of the kids did our age.
And here's the part about me wanting to become a big star, right? Well, that never really happened. Sure, I played football throughout my high school and college years, but I never really made anything else out of it. I became a teacher instead, and a trainer at the very same academy I had gone to at the age of eleven. I guess you could say that I've grown up -- if only just a little. I'm still the same easy going adonis as I've always been, but you could say I've matured. Not sure if everyone would agree, but each to their own.
