POWER INFO:
FORCE-FIELD GENERATION
Nathan has the ability to create and project fields of manipulated energy. He's able to create a shield, wall or field to protect himself, or others. The force-fields themselves are made out of energy or particles, and usually take the form of a spherical, clear wall of energy covering/shielding him, or whatever else he directs it at. He can change the forms of the force fields, but this takes a lot more focus and concentration.
These barriers aren't impenetrable and can be removed or broken through by an energy drain or extreme weight. This form of energy is without mass, but still acts like a wall, which means that people or objects affected by it will be unable to pass through. Nathan can use this wall to prevent people from leaving or entering as well as creating a bubble for breathing where you normally can't. Such as underwater, around toxic gas, etc. Note: Prolonged use of airtight barriers may cause asphyxiation.
It takes a great deal of practice to use his power whether it's defensive or offensive, because it takes a lot of focus for him to use the power. Normally, he's only able to create smaller walls or shields without a lot of effort. But bigger and stronger barriers will be more exhausting and tiring.
Limitations and Side-Effects include:
He is limited to size, shape and how long the barriers last, all depending on how well rested he is and how long it's been since the last time he used his ability. If Nathan is under any form of stress, the barriers can become weaker and easier to break through, and attacks on them might cause damage to both his body and his mind. Nathan has to focus and concentrate a lot to both maintain and create his barriers/force-fields and this can result in headaches, energy drain, migraines, muscle pains, temporarily loss of sensory functions.
GENERAL APPEARANCE:
On first glance, Nathan appears like just another lanky youth. Most his muscle definition lies in his upper arms and legs, but whereas for the rest of his body, Nathan is more on the scrawny side. He has strong facial features that makes up of a broad chin, a oval face, full lips and dully colored brown eyes, which tends to be very full of expression. His skin tone is on the olive side, though it's naturally so.
When it comes to Nathan's hair, he lets it grow to the point where his bangs hangs right above his eyebrows. He has never colored it, so it's naturally brown with a few blonde highlights, due to all the time he's spent outside in the sun. His hair is probably the most important thing when it comes to his looks, and he hates it when people touch it or mess with it.
As for clothes, Nathan prefers dark colored cardigans over t-shirts in dull and lights colors complimented with dark skinny jeans, and of course, sneakers. He doesn't spend much time when it comes to his closet, and prefers comfortable clothes over fashionable ones. Though, he is not mistaken for a being a snob, as he spends a great deal of time on his looks.
Nathan has a cold nature to him, and often uses this as a way to scare people away before they even bother to get to know him. He's not much of a people person, since that often leads to them expecting him to care, which he rarely does. Thus, he tries his best to prevent this by intimidating people by his appearance alone. He tries making it as obvious as possible to ensure people know he's not one to be messed with or someone to whine about their problems to. He does not care, and if you make the horrible mistake of thinking that he does, he'll gladly prove you wrong.
Nate is often seen with a frown, a glare or scrunched up eyebrows; Anything to make him seem less friendly. Really, he does not care to know you. He does not care about your sad, little life. Really, don't even attempt at it. You'll be rudely cut off.
MUST HAVE APPAREL:
A bracelet made of wooden pearls around his left wrist - something his sister gave him a few years back. He hasn't taken it off since. Mostly because he doesn't want to hear her nagging him about never wearing it.
PERSONALITY:
Nathan is very cold. He doesn't allow himself to care about others, because let's face it; It's just a hassle. People are stupid. People are not worth his time, and people are droll. Nathan is also very selfish and does whatever he wants, whenever he wants to. At first glances, there's nothing really attractive about his personality and it's almost like he's purposely trying to make people dislike him. The care gene was lost on him, it seems as there's very few people who actually manages to make him care, let alone make him be nice. He's rudely honest, he doesn't mind kicking someone while they're down and he's incredible prideful, even to the point where he stops at nothing to get things his way.
Nate has a sadistic sense of humor and finds people in pain rather funny. He doesn't like nagging, whining or any form of complaining and will easily brush off any form of excuses. He strongly believes people has to work hard to earn what they got, and all though he rarely let's people rise to the occasion, a part of him still wants to believe the best of people, though his cryptic and cold personality doesn't let him.
He is very aggressive by nature and isn't afraid to go as far as retorting to violence to get things his way. Did I mention that he's selfish? Yeah? Good. He's childishly selfish. He can easily throw a tantrum, or an angry fit if things doesn't go his way. He hates losing and gets openly pissed about it if he does.
When Nathan first starts caring, he becomes easily jealous and is incredible possessive over things or people he consider his belonging and from this, his aggressive and violent nature gets easily lit. Whatever happens after this usually tend to add fuel to the already burning fire. When enraged, there's few things that can make him feel better and he usually just has to get it out of his system.

Growing up with an alcoholic father and a drug addict as a mother, it's easy to say that Nathan's life was far from normal. Ever since an early age, Nathan experienced a lot of violence at home, which in turn made the boy very distant to the world and other people. Nathan spent most of his childhood inside and didn't have a whole lot of friends. With his lack of interest in other people, Nathan did very well when it came to his school work and always got good grades. There was rarely anything keeping him from doing his homework.
When Nathan was seven, his sister Sarah was born and even then, Nathan had trouble connecting and the two siblings had a strained and distant relationship. Their parents didn't affect the girl the same way it had Nathan and she became an outgoing and bubbly kind of person - which more often than not pissed Nathan off. He found her childlike naivety immensely annoying.
ADOLESCENCE:
When Nathan turned fourteen, his powers manifested and as a result, he was sent to the Bellefonte Academy for training. The sudden change of locations, had Nathan thrown into a limbo of angry fits and troublemaking, but with time and practice, he too calmed down and went back to his old ways of not conversing with other people and focusing on his school work. And with time, he too graduated from the school and became a trainer.
ADULTHOOD:
After becoming a trainer, Nathan focused his anger and frustration mostly on training the students who needed to learn the same things he had. He was very good at
teaching, just not so good at actually connecting to his students. His ways of teaching were very strict, even cruel. He never accepted excuses and expected everyone whom he taught to do their utmost best, no matter what.
Now, still a trainer at the school, Nathan has stuck to his usual cold, strict and violent ways of teaching others. When it comes to love and affection, this has been up to this day something far from the man's mind as possible. He's yet to meet someone who has manage to warm his ice cold heart up and sincerely believes this is something he does not need. Nope, all Nathan thinks he needs is his alcohol, his job and his puppy, Marvin.
