NAME: Antler Willow Creed
NICKNAME: N.A
AGE: Twenty
GENDER: Female
ORIENTATION: Bisexual
POSITION: Bellefonte librarian and part-time magazine photographer
FACE CLAIM: Rose Leslie
POWER:
Name of Power: Conscious Projection
Antler is a mind walker, something that has also been referred to as a 'Warg' in modern fiction. She has the ability to transmit her consciousness into that of any living animal, save for humans. She holds the potential to control the animal she projects into, if her own conscious is able to 'dominate' that of the animal she is connecting with. Through the connection she has access to probe into the animal's conscious, as well as access its physical senses such as sight and smell. In a similar way, she can manipulate or influence the animal to think or react in a certain way.
Limitations
- When using power, her own body drops into a comatose state, regulating the base necessities for survival and nothing else, leaving her body vulnerable
- If the animal he is connected with takes damage, she will take the same damage, though it manifests on her body only after her conscious has returned to it
- If the animal dies, Ant faces the possibility of death, only if what killed the animal is effective enough to kill an adult female.
For example, if she was inside the body of a dog, and a slab of cement is dropped on top of it, crushing it, this will most definitely kill her. However if she is inside the body of a cockroach that dies from being stood on, she will not die. It is not the type of death (Crushing) but rather the manner in which it is carried out (Stepped on/Falling cement) that will affect the damage she takes.
- Alternatively, if sufficient damage were to occur to her human body that induces death, Ant's conscience would remain safe inside the animal. She would no longer be able to return to her own body, understandably, and would be nothing more than a mind without a body. In this instance, she would have no choice but to try and 'dominate' the mind of the animal she is currently housed inside, and take over it's mind and body. If not, she will simply be assimilated into the animal's consciousness and cease to exist.
- Projecting is taxing on Antler's energy levels.
- The more exhausted she is, the harder it is to stop using her ability.
Side-Effects
- The longer she spends in the body of another animal, the harder she finds it to return to his own.
- Her human body weakens without a conscious to move or power it, while his mind, surrounded by the thoughts and instincts of an animal, slowly dehumanizes.
- Memory loss and the knowledge that she was once human both occur as time passes within an animal, until eventually she becomes assimilated into the consciousness of the animal.
(If the instance occurs where she begins to lose her memories and then later returns to her body, the re-connection will restore them.)
- Staying in an animal's body for too long can inflict changes upon Antler's physical body as well. (The best example of this are her eyes, which bear the rectangular pupils of a deer)
- When pushed to the limit and faced with losing his connection with his body, if pulled back to his body, the influence the animal conscious had on his own mind may manifest itself on his physical body.
- To primarily use his power Ant needs quiet and concentration.
- Actually forcing her conscious out of her body is difficult and can be time consuming depending on the level of urgency and the number of distractions around her.
- After using her ability, she is left tired.
- She will most commonly experience confusion at the sudden change
- Experiences gagging and vomiting after longer connections
APPEARANCE SECTION:
Antler is most proud of her fiery auburn hair, falling just past shoulder length in choppy layers. She’s never cared to enforce any particular order or style into the hair-do, but it typically managed to fall how she likes it. Her eyes are a pale, almost dull blue with a touch of amber thrown in. They are noticeable only because of her pupils, which are rectangular like a deer or goat, due to an extended period of use with her power.
She has a characteristically pale complex, courtesy of the large physical strain her mutation takes on her. Similarly, she is relatively slim, bordering on underweight, with a naturally curvy figure. Though, these curves are only faintly accented by her bones, rather than the customary padding. Standing at 5’7”, she is neither tall nor short. In summary, her body is the complete opposite of her personality, and in fact, is quite feminine.
MUST HAVE APPAREL:
Antler dresses for comfort, favouring leather or any piece of clothing with an unnecessary number of buckles or zippers. In contrast to the leather, she also has a love of loose clothing, and will often pair the two together in a somewhat unique wardrobe. She enjoys plain clothes and will avoid most things bright or flashy, instead she allows the majority of her accessories to do that for her.
In contrast to her plain clothing, Antler enjoys piling herself with unique and sometimes eye-catching jewelly. She is always wearing an abundance of leather bracelets on her wrist, some braided, while others are woven with feathers, teeth or other charms. Similarly, she is commonly wearing the same type of leather thongs around her neck. She has an aversion to gold, and will only ever wear leather or silver.
PERSONALITY SECTION:
Antler is a total boss that won't take crap from everyone. She's snappy, sarcastic and completely sharp in everything she says and does. Despite this, she's fun-loving and daring, always willing to put herself to the test and see how far she can go. Having a very short list of actual fears, Antler is always up for something new, provided it sounds fun at the time. She believes in never regretting anything, and so always goes all out in everything she does.
She's not afraid to stand up for herself, or others. Even with her somewhat rough persona, she has a good heart and an especial soft spot for children and dancers. Children because they're adorable, dancers because....well they're hot.
Antler is somewhat of an adrenaline junky. She's always going to be the one daring herself or someone else to try something crazy. She has no problems with pushing her body to the limits, just to see how far she can go. However, it is only ever physical challenges she takes on, and surprisingly enough she's completely sworn of things such as drugs and alcohol after getting completely drunk and drugged at her eighteenth birthday. Now, she has a complete disrespect for both alcohol and drugs, though finds it harder to condemn the people who actually use them, since it's not her place to criticize after all the crap she pulls.
After all of Antler 's brash nature, you'd never expect her to have a truly contemplative side. However, she's a photographer at heart and loves to capture the world in pictures. She also loves to write though doesn't plan to make a profession out of it, coupling her photos and writing in journals that she has scattered around her house. She finds it a lot easier to express herself there, rather than to someone's face. She absolutely adores old things, such as type writers and film cameras, using them whenever she can. She spent a great deal of money on a developing room attached to her house so that she could develop her own film.
EXTRA QUIRK:
Antler has three main passions, photography, doll making and genetics.
She has an incredible drive to find the perfect partner, not for any emotional purpose, but because she would love to create the ‘perfect’ mutant with an awesome power. For this reason she is always on the hunt for possible males she can breed with to create the perfect child. Her dream is to create an army of perfect creatures, though why she wants an army, even she is not sure.
Her love of photography stems from her passion for physical memories and the ability to hold something and remember an occurrence. Her gift at making dolls and puppets stems from nothing but hard work. Her home is now filled with creepy doll and puppet bodies. She is almost always carrying at least one around with her.

Antler was born in Ireland within an encampment of 'Irish Travelers', more commonly referred to as gypsies. A single child in a very family-based group, she very quickly became the centre of attention and affection. Rather than enjoying this, Antler quickly became stifled by the continuous affections and expectations placed upon her. She took to rebelling to find amusement, and would escape to explore on her own whenever she was able. Her childhood passed quietly and uneventfully in this way, with her dodging people and responsibility to try and exercise her own freedom. At the age of twelve she accidentally projected herself into the mind of a passing deer and became stuck, having no knowledge of her own power. Her saving grace was a collection of hunters that shot at the deer. The shock and pain was enough to jolt Antler back into her own body, though she was left with deer eyes instead of her own, remnants of her close call. Her newfound miracle gift quickly led to more exploration in a bid for freedom, though she had no idea how and was unknowingly in quite a lot of danger. It was lucky for her that scouts from Bellefonte discovered her only two weeks after her mutation surfaced.
Unfortunately the school turned out to be a real bummer. The orders of conformity both at home and at school turned Antler into a compulsive rebel, disobeying orders just to prove she could. She comforted herself by taking over the minds of animals and exploring on her own, convincing herself that sharing a consciousness was the same as bonding with a friend; and so her school years passed with no new friends. Eventually she realized that her own mutation could not make up for human company. By that point, she had graduated Bellefonte and been cast out on her own. While her powers had been relatively mastered, since it was what she was trying to turn away from, Antler found her education to be very little help at all. Instead she turned to her hobbies, writing and photography, and instinctively turned back to Bellefonte for guidance. She very quickly secured the position of academy librarian, and felt much safer in the quiet, secluded environment.
A few months later, after her twentieth birthday, her hobby photography was noticed and she was offered a part-time position within a magazine corperation, which she also took. While still alone, Antler is now misguidedly filling the loneliness with work and distractions.
