POWER INFO:
Jason is able to heal wounds, broken bones and diseases on any living things. Basically, he uses his life force to optimize the person’s life force, enabling them to heal at a faster rate they would usually be able to. He has several limitations though. If a limb has been severed, it needs to be put back together for it to work. And of course, since it uses his own energy, the bigger the injury, the more draining it gets to him. He cannot revive the dead and the nearly dead will put him on the brink of death in return. He usually is very tired and sometimes can lose consciousness if he used his power too much. He cannot grow limbs back or cure mental illnesses. By concentrating enough, he can cure only one ailment in particular, meaning if you have a flesh wound and a disease, if he knows what he is meant to cure and focuses on that, then he will cure only the flesh wound and not the disease. If he doesn’t know, he is likely to cure all however.
He needs to touch the person for it to work, preferably where they are hurt. Taking his hands off the person will stop the healing process but not cancel it, meaning if the wound was halfway healed, it will remain so. He cannot regenerate himself. His power is basically limited on how much energy he has at the moment. If he is already low on vitality, he is most likely to faint before healing the person completely. Jason learned to control it so touching someone doesn’t result on healing them automatically, which means he has to want it for it to work.
GENERAL APPEARANCE: Jason is a tall man, about six feet tall. He’s always felt like he’s got too many legs and arms. He gains weight easily but he can also lose it just as easily. Basically, it’s due to his terrible eating habits. He could spend days barely eating anything, too focused on his researches. The only part he never seemed able to lose weight on is the cheeks. They are always round, giving him a juvenile look when he ever thinks of shaving.
He knows he’s a bit of a hairy monster. Yeah he’s got a stubble and lots of hair on his chest. He doesn’t care about his look enough to ever shave this shag. Besides, he doesn’t care. He never understood this whole metrosexual thing. His hair tends to look messy, again because he forgets to comb them every now and then. They also tend to curl a bit so he usually keeps them short before he looks like a sheep or something. His mother might have loved his curly locks when he was a child but he is one no more. This is about the only thing of his look he really cares about: keeping them short enough.
He knows his best feature is his eyes. That blue color seems barely possible but yes, that is indeed his real eye color. Last time he checked, he could not change them at will and he had never been able to wear lenses.
As to clothes, he’s really not complicated. The first shirt of his size he can find, matched with some jeans and he’s good to go. He’s not exactly the best at matching colors and he’s the kind to keep wearing his clothes until they literally dissolve or turn to dust as you grab them. He’s not that fond of shopping so he doesn’t like to spend an afternoon looking for new shirts because apparently those he has are too old and really not that great. He also often buys his clothes impulsively, like this leather jacket of his people say doesn’t match his personality much but that he still likes.
PERSONALITY: Jason is a very focused, quiet man. Not that he is antisocial but he tends to prefer his own company. When working on something that passionate him, he will forget about all the rest, making it hard for him to keep a good, healthy social life. It also gives him terrible eating habits as he would not eat or barely do so for days when he’s on a special project of his. Once that is done though, or someone forces him to have a break, he would stuff himself with all the food he can get, much like a bear before hibernation. Except his hibernation is more work.
He loves to be around people and doesn’t mind the occasional beer with friends, but he’s more of an introvert. He isn’t a big flirt, he doesn’t like clubbing and that sorts of things. He’s much happier spending his Friday night at home, reading a book, than running around town to visit the most jet-set spots. But he isn’t a shy guy no matter all that. He loves to talk with others, he just feels like his conversations are boring. Because he isn’t a funny guy. And when he is passionate about something, he will talk endlessly of it, even if the others don’t share his passion or don’t understand half of what he is saying.
He is warm-hearted. It pains him when he cannot properly help someone. He knew it is so easy to lay his hands on someone and heal them of all ailments. But he also knows the consequences and there is something a little pointless in healing a child’s skinned knee. He isn’t one to let others force him so don’t threaten him into healing someone, he would refuse. He knows sometimes, there is just nothing to do. Besides, he could die otherwise and he isn’t interested in that. He’s not that selfless.
Jason is serious and responsible. He will do what he says he’ll do. He’s not the one you’ll call for when you want a good time but you will definitely ask for him if you need help for something. He acts sometimes as if he was more mysterious than he was. For he is actually quite plain and simple. So his attempts at appearing mysterious often fall flat.
EXTRA QUIRK: Jason is not very good at keeping things in order. He would call it 'organized chaos' but it's really a miracle how he can find anything in that mess.

CHILDHOOD: Jennifer Hamilton and Charles Campbell met here at Kalispell. Or more like at Bellefonte, to be perfectly clear. Two gifted kids who felt like no one loved each other more than the two of them. Cliché, you say? Of course, but aren't every teenager in love like that? They still waited for Charles to finish medicine school before marrying and having kids. Well, one kid to begin with. For Jason's brother Raphael did not come until he was eight. It was a surprise really and they weren't as happy to have him but tried their best to never show it. They loved Raphael as much as they loved Jason after all. They both knew they came from a very special family. Both of their parents had powers. Their father was a healer while their mother was labeled the folding woman since she could fold and bend her body at will.
Jason was a good kid. He liked to be loud at times, like most children, to play but also to study. He was a good student. When his mother got sick however, he slowly lost his place as a top grader. He didn't fully understand what she had. Her bones were usually so elastic, being able to do whatever she wanted out of them. But they were getting brittle. Their father tried his best to heal her but eventually, it would come back, no matter how little she used her power anymore.
ADOLESCENCE:
Considering what was happening to his mother, Jason was afraid he would get her ability and would suffer the same way. But he found out he had his father's. Jason was a healer too. That didn't comfort him much however, seeing how his father was falling apart, trying to keep his love alive. He found out about his ability when a limping cat came his way in their courtyard. Jason wanted to pick the cat up and see what it was exactly or ask his father for some help. But he then felt some of his energy going from him to the cat and dropped the poor animal. It took him some time before realizing the creature actually ran away from him, meaning the leg was not longer hurt.
His father saw this as a blessing and while Jason was at school, his father also taught him all he knew. Jason felt he was a better teacher when it came to this power so he often listened to him more than he would his instructors. He was also quite proud to help his father in his research, giving him the desire to be a doctor too one day.
Again, his life was rather uneventful. Slowly, he learned to be able to not heal people simply by touching them. Before that he was always wearing gloves so he would not touch their skin and heal them. But after that he dropped the gloves and enjoyed his time with friends, and girlfriends. Later, he also learned to heal only something specific and not every little wounds someone might have.
By the time he was approaching graduation, his mother's state greatly deteriorated. Charles had to heal her every two or three days just to keep her alive, which in return made him weaker. She could barely get out of bed. His father came to him, begged his son to use his ability, to help him save her. As much as it pained Jason, knowing it would mean the death of his dear mother, he refused. His father got angry, tried to force him. Jason left the house and refused to come back that day. He knew their mother would die. But this was no life and it was killing their father. No way she'd wish for this to continue. He graduated and left Kalispell.
ADULTHOOD:
He could have studied medicine here at Kalispell but he wanted to put some space between his father and himself. The man had turned into a shadow of himself since the death of his wife. Jason didn't want of that energy. The medicine school was not easy all the time. It was so tempting to just lay his hands on someone and heal them but he knew it would raise questions. He also travelled a bit, mostly to Asia. The pain and suffering he witnessed in the poorest countries made it clear to him being a doctor might prove harder than he thought.
While practicing in a hospital, he also became interested in other people like him with abilities. He wanted to study how it happened, why, if it affected them in other ways than just bring out a power, if there was other ways to control or contain those powers. He still healed but would also on the side help those like him who left Kalispell for the big world around. He was not like those 'normal' scientists who would treat them like lab rats. He wants to help those like him, to make their powers more bearable and see if it doesn't make them prone to certain diseases and the like. He also wants to soothe some of their pain or make it easier for them to be around people or use those special abilities without it to be too dangerous for anyone.
He received a call from Kalispell. From Raphael. Their father was dying too. All that energy he gave to their mother, and then the constant researches he did in his foolish attempt to bring her back as if he was Frankenstein and could actually revive the dead, it turned out too much for him. Jason returned to Kalispell at last. He wasn't sure how he would feel coming back and it was both good and awkward at the same time. He saw his father, talked to his doctors about him. He knew it was hopeless. His brother tried to persuade him to save their father. When Jason refused, they had an argument. Jason never realized until then how young Raphael was when he lost his mother, barely eleven, and how it might have affected him. And now, to lose his father too, when his big brother could save him. Jason tried to explain giving him his life force back would only have him waste it in searching again for a way to bring his love back. Jason felt terrible to have left his brother in that home, all alone. He didn't think about that when he left. He tried to help him out of course but Raphael was in no state to listen to him. It was too little too late.
After they buried their father, Jason chose to stay here. Those people needed healthcare too and it was easier for his research. Besides, it would give him an opportunity to reunite with Raphael. He wishes to make amend.
