Hopefully she hadn't sounded stuck up. Not that she didn't like public transportation, she enjoyed it for time to time. She just wouldn't go as far as bringing big and pricey items with her on such transportation. She never tried it but she didn't think that trying that method could have a good outcome.
She listened carefully as her eyes focused to the back of the store, "Got it." Giving a quick nod, the ebony shifter made her way towards the associates near the televisions who were processing the tickets. She couldn't help but to get a little bit excited. Spending late hours shopping for stuff for bargains and deals. It was kind of an adrenaline rush for someone like her.
She also found an empty cart along the way. That way they wouldn't have to continue carrying everything by hand, "Isn't this exciting? Well, I suppose not for you, you must be used to this by now but it's kind of fun. Having to make some sort of game plan just to shop... on items on sale."

"Still pretty exciting," Tim agreed. He shifted his armful of loot into Onnie's cart, figuring that it would work for both of them. He also moved in position to sort of take control and start pushing it if she wanted. After all, they were coming in range of the big ticket item soon, and Tim figured that Onnie would want to head forward to get it for herself.
He did pause for a moment to snag a few more memory cards they happened to be passing by: more stuff he'd need for his show. He thought he saw a web-cam a bit away, but he probably had better stuff back at the dorm. "Just 'cuz I'm ready for it doesn't mean I don't love it," he continued, pushing them onward. "I kinda geek out when it comes to shopping for stuff like this anyway, so getting to do it with all this added fanfare's kinda fun."
Tim added another shrug and then pulled the cart to a stop. They were only a few feet from a helpful looking employee. Tim nodded to Onnie and gestured. "Show the nice person your ticket. Then the true fun begins," he grinned, already turning to look and try to form the next path. People were filling in now, and most of them were heading straight for the televisions...

Onnie hadn't mind if Time chose to push the cart, she was already in awe with how many items were on sale. It was as if she was a little kid in a candy store, just looking every which way for what she wanted or needed most while the guardian had continued on without stopping. "Ah, geeking out. How cute. I'm not sure if I'm geeking out myself... but I'd say it's close enough."
She couldn't help but grab at a few movies and television shows that had zombies on the cover. She knew Jack enjoyed watching stuff like that so maybe he'd like a few as what they'd call a stocking stuffer, among other things she planned to get him.
"Oh! Right! Apologies, I seemed to have been distracted." The girl chuckled as she smiled sheepishly, handing over her ticket. She would have went on about how this was her first Black Friday expierence and how interesting it had been so far but it didn't seem as if the associate would have been interested. Seeing how they just eyed Oneyka and simply took the ticket before getting ready to hand out the televisions as more people gathered.

Tim chuckled. "You just need some more practice," he said, before adjusting his glasses. He looked around, but didn't see anything in the near vicinity that he really wanted to grab. He'd buzz through later, see if he could pick up some stuff for people. Maybe he could find some memory for Erin too, a few other friends. Karl had mentioned wanting something, and Tim needed to pick that out.
Movement got Tim's attention back to Onnie. She stepped forward and he watched as an employee took her ticket. Soon a decent sized television ended up in Tim's cart. He pushed back to make sure it didn't upset or anything like that, then let out a low whistle at the size of it. "Impressive. You making a lot of money? Okay," he looked at her, adjusting his glasses, "you're not, like, actually a model or something, are you? Because I could see it."
And this would be the first time that Tim actually met a real life model who didn't seem to want to squish him under her heel like he was some sort of bug. And of course he had Lux. If he'd been dating anyone else, Tim would curse his poor luck. Instead he just cursed the timing. And looked around to see if there were some more adorable critters to grab. Maybe they had one of those penguin speakers that danced to music or something.

Smiling, she nodded once to agree. More practice was always needed, always... which may even end up in her being able to fully geek out like Tim did. She could even get all excited over movies and games in which she had never had the time to partake in. Like the stuff her boyfriend did. So would that be Jack geeking out as well?
She thanked the employee and simply glanced at the television as if she wasn't excited, because honestly she wasn't. It wasn't even for her. Onnie raised both brows as she looked at Tim. "Oh! Me?" Pursing her lips, she tried to figure out the best way to answer that, wanting to sound as bland as possible. "Sort of, in between pageants and schooling my mother had a few agencies hire me. Did some work. She's more of the high fashion model, not I."
Oneyka glanced around as if she was looking for something to catch her attention. It wasn't that she hated talking about her life back home, she just didn't want to sound as if she was better than anyone. She absolutely loved her life, yes but being a normal young adult was far more appeasing to her. If you included spa sessions twice a week, then yeah, that seemed about right.
"Should we go grabbing all of the other items now? I feel as if it's becoming more and more crowded each second." Obviously trying to change the subject at hand. "Oh look, movies!" Oneyka then headed over to the movie section.

Tim nodded, fighting the urge to start chuckling as Onnie sounded about as cliche model with that as she could manage. He still ended up smiling and nodding as Onnie explained. Between pageants and... pageants? This surprisingly cool and slightly nerdy girl did pageants?
WHERE THE HELL WERE ALL THE GIRLS LIKE THIS WHEN HE WAS SINGLE? WHY, FATE, WHY? Oh wait, awesome, perfect girl and all, plus, Tim was feeling more of a sort of buddy thing and OMG HE WAS FEELING A "BUDDY SPARK" WITH A PAGEANT QUEEN.
Who was distracted looking around and stuff. "What?" Tim managed, leaning forward and blinking some more. "What? Oh, yeah, we should grab--- okay then," his head swiveled as Onnie headed off to the movies. Tim readjusted the television for a few moments before ducking down and following Onnie into the breach.
"Careful with the prices," he said, reaching up to adjust his glasses, "sometimes they just shove stuff in there and---oh, Goonies!" Tim reached and grabbed a few copies, throwing them into the cart.

Ah yes, the subject changer by walking away. Seemed to always work like a charm. Just when she picked up a movie to glance at the description, Tim warned her about the prices. She could imagine people always roaming about and placing movies in the wrong areas, which was a bit rude. Why couldn't you just put them back where they belonged? Clearly Oneyka hadn't done much of any retail shopping, ever. If it wasn't netflix, she had no idea what "picking out" a movie consisted of. But now here she was with her new friend, picking out movies! Yay!
She picked up a few movies with zombies on the cover, "If I was to purchase movies for say -- Someone who enjoys gore and zombies. What movies or shows may they enjoy? I'm not exactly sure why but my boyfriend enjoys watching stuff like that." She shrugged, "I'm just not as familiar on the genre."
Her brows lifted as she glanced at the cart, "What is Goonies. Is that some sort of gangster movie? Or about a Mafia? Or Goons?" It sounded like it. Why on Earth would anyone want to name a children's movie, or a some sort of romance comedy "Goonies". Now that she thought of it, the name sounded quite disgusting. What was a Goonie anyway?

"Kind of depends on the type of zombie stuff they're looking for," Tim offered with a shrug. "There's all kinds: Walking Dead's the popular one, but there's classic stuff and all. You might want to trick him into watching that one zombie love story one... Warm Bodies," Tim nodded.
Then he ended up giving Onnie a shocked look, even recoiling for a moment. "You've never seen Goonies? Say it ain't so! Clearly you're going to have to get a copy for yourself," Tim considered the copies in his cart for a moment, tapped the cart, and shrugged. "Or I'll just give you one of the few I picked up. It's a class: got kids going on a treasure hunt and all. Pretty good."
Tim pushed the cart onward though. Not that he wasn't enjoying talking to Onnie (he totally was), but he knew they had to keep moving if they were going to get out of there alive. A person couldn't normal shop during Black Friday, not unless they were insane. No, you had to move quickly, and/or be willing to attack people.
"Aha!" Tim lunged over his cart, nearly flipping over and grabbing a movie. He grinned and held it out for Onnie. "There: Warm Bodies," he tapped it, nodding, "totally the kind of movie you trick a zombie loving boyfriend into watching. It's not that bad though." He shrugged and held it out for her to take, trying not to look like he really wanted to start moving again, like, now.

"Hm. Interesting." She took his words into consideration. Well, she'd have to seeing how she knew nothing about zombie movies and shows. To think there were different types as well. How was that even possible? From what she could recall, all zombies did were walk around.. dead, looking for others to kill or even eat off of. Ah well. She simply grabbed a copy of each show or movie she saw in front of her and tossed it into the cart.
"Well..." Clearly she was somewhat embarrassed for not having learned more about the American culture and seeing some of their greatest movies. Smiling sheepishly, she simply followed him as he moved on with the cart. At least he was kind enough to offer up a copy of the movie. It sounded interesting enough, so there was also that.
When Tim held out the movie to her, she kindly took it and glanced over the cover art and the synopsis on the back. Finally a movie she could probably get into and trick Jack into watching as well. Ah, and it was romantic? Score! "Thank you! This is perfect." Looking up from the movie, she'd follow as soon as Tim started moving. It was as if it become more and more crowded by the minute. Had she been the type to form some sort of anxiety, she may have freaked out right about now. "I suppose this is where we head to the check out and take our leave? I didn't imagine it would get this crazy so soon."

Tim nodded. "Yeah, it's not bad, really," he repeated, tapping the DVD again. He'd seen it and Lux had even tolerated it, which struck him as being a pretty good voucher for it being an acceptable video for chicks to watch. Though sometimes Tim did wonder if he should really use Lux as a good litmus test. The girl did love her zombie movies after all.
There was the Goonies thing too. "Yeah, you should definitely sit down with some friends and watch all the essential movies sometime. Maybe we could hang out, you me, my girlfriend, just watching movies and all," Tim paused. "I'm serious about that too, like, seriously," though it really did sound like the beginning to some kind of porn or something. Tim just sighed and adjusted his glasses, trying to remind himself that not everyone had as dirty a mind as he did.
They got everything, though... "Well, I'm gonna swing through that way," he pointed, "get a few of the other stuff, but then I'll meet you up front." Tim nodded and started walking off slowly. He did intend to just swish through and grab things and meet up with Onnie, though he had a feeling that she could probably handle the rest of things without his help. Standing in line and buying stuff was pretty much the easiest part of this darkest of shopping days, after all.
