A quiet night in the woods..

[Devyn Solway]

Devyn was especially pleased that she sort of caught Skylar by surprise, or more so the fact that she had caught the leopard. Disappearing from sight was easy when you were as black as the shadows and the night itself. The only thing that really made Devyn standout was her eyes, but other than that she practically vanished into the night. She had a scent to her, the one of herself that was covered by the shadows but there was more of an almost metallic scent to her, which was probably just because of the cold coming from her body. Plus there was the fact that her hand was still bleeding so Skylar certainly would have been able to smell Devyn's blood. So fluffy. Was pretty much all that was going through Devyn's mind as she managed to grab a hold of Skylar's leopard soft and fluffy tail. She did ask Skylar a while back about Skylar hold her tail in her mouth and Devyn had always wanted to try it.

She had even made sure to be careful with her sharp teeth, making some of them disappear since they were made out of hardened shadows under her control. She didn't understand a word that Skylar might have been saying and instead enjoyed the feeling of the other girl's tail in her mouth. Say that out loud and you would certainly get weird looks in your other form. Devyn thought to herself and snickered on the inside but on the outside let out a low and almost whispered growl in response to Skylar's growl. It was a habit for Devyn to growl back when she was growled at because she was the alpha in the situation and her beast-self wanted to make sure everyone knew that. Devyn didn’t let go of Skylar's tail at first, even with all the pawing and just started to nom on it for a moment. Then releasing it as she got to her feet from her fallen position close to Skylar.

Her snow leopard friend didn't have to worry about any drool since Devyn could not actually produce saliva in this form. That was why Devyn’s power fell under a few categories in a way that made it hard to just shove her into one group. She was like a shifter, but a manipulator, and also the whole animalistic traits, but that came with the whole shifter aspect of her ability. You are not getting anywhere just yet. Devyn thought to herself as she moved over and went to just sort of flop and lay on top of the snow leopard and made herself comfortable. Having her front paws on either side of the small creature and resting her head next to Skylar's and let out something like a deep breath when she was all settled.

Skylar just internally groaned as she soon gave up, realizing nothing was working. She didn't pay much mind to the way Devyn had growled back, but she certainly knew she'd get some kind of revenge, try and bite Devyn's tail(s). Yeah... she thought to her self, even adding an evil laugh for the humor. She laid there kinda helplessly as Devyn just kind of nommed on her tail, after thinking about it for a moment, she began to realize that Devyn... Didn't have teeth? I swear I was she had teeth though.... she thought to herself. After a short period of time she decided that she simply has no teeth towards the back, and in the future she wouldn't the tail munching as much, since there was no slobber involved, just a little cold but it wasn't that bad. Shortly after Skylar had given up on trying to stop her shadowy friend, she had let go and stood up.

She watched Devyn to see what she was going to do, hoping she wasn't really in the mood to do the thing this leopard dispised the most, go running again. Skylar groaned again as she was laid on, letting out a moaning growl thing as she gave Devyn a 'Really...' kind of look, or at least trying the best she could while shifted. Skylar looked at Devyn and gave her a huff. Now she was laying on her side, with Devyn laying on her, just because she's soft doesn't make her an instant bed for a sleepy wolf. She laid her head back on the ground with another huff, accepting what was happening because well, the shadow wolf was indeed bigger and she probably wouldn't be able to get much use of trying to escape anyways, so might as well stay as comfortable as one could with the other girl laying on her.

She took this moment to take in her surroundings, something she forgot about often. Skylar shifted her eyes around, looking for something interesting to amuse her. She sniffed around too, taking in the scents, smelling Devyn... the shadowy Devyn, and that blood again... She began to wonder what happened, the way the blood smelled certainly informed her that it had been somewhat recent. She turned and looked at Devyn, and opened her mouth, So, how did you cut yourself? And when? she asked... er thought. She did a total mental facepalm, of course she couldn't ask Devyn, she had no real way of communicating... She sighed a bit and moved her head back to the ground and laid there, letting her mind wonder for now what she could have done to get hurt.

Victory is always mine. Devyn thought to herself when she could feel Skylar giving up over the whole matter. It was normally best to just give up when it came to stopping Devyn from getting what she wanted. Sure if someone put up a big enough fuss and made it clear they did not want her to do something then she would stop. She was not a totally selfish person after all. Sure she may have come off as a little selfish because she did what she wanted and how she wanted to do it, but she was not like that all the time. Especially for her friends and the people she cared about, she would do anything for them and that applied to Skylar as well. Just thinking about all of this made her start to feel a little down, but she tried to fight past it. She knew that the whole being angry, depressed, and just feeling nothing at all were the steps of how she got over things that were huge losses. It was not as if she lost Zoe forever, but it felt like it.

Especially since Zoe told Devyn to stay away from her, but it was not like Devyn would be able to listen to that for long. She had plans, she was not going to give up, and even if that meant getting some outside help then that was what she was going to have to do. Keeping her teeth away only lasted so long since her form was used to being complete and not in a half or well again anything not complete. So she had already let go of the tail before then, making herself nice and comfortable on her snow leopard form. She could feel the warmth beneath her, as well as Skylar putting up a silent fuss over the matter. Devyn just chuckled a little on the inside as she laid there for a moment thinking to herself and just enjoying being this close to someone. Yet she knew she probably was not the most comfortable and that unlike Skylar her body would always be cold which probably would not feel so good for Skylar after a certain point.

Skylar was looking up at her for a moment and Devyn just stared at the snow leopard since there was no way for them to talk like this. Devyn could only speak with words using the shadow smoke that always lingered around her and Skylar probably could do a mental thing with other shifters like her, maybe. Either way Devyn remain where she was as she broke down her shadow form. The shadows ripping and then becoming something that looked like tar melting as they fell off Devyn's body and then returned to looking and being just like any normal shadow would look like. "You will have to shift back too if you want us to be able to talk." Devyn said when she was back in her normal human form. Arms and part of her body still around the snow leopard as she snuggles into the soft fur a little bit.

Skylar was a snow leopard, her animal form was practically built for the cold, so while she still felt it, it hardly bothered her while she was also shifted. She laid there and watched as the shadows melted from Devyn as she shifted back, she did have a point; while the wolf had a type of communication, Skylar did not. All she could simply do is show her emotions by growling or purring and that type of stuff. Body language pretty much meant everything while she was a leopard. She sort of blushed at the thought of changing back, unlike Devyn, her powers weren't like a suit, when she changed back, she was stripped of most her clothing. She giggled at the thought and changed back, while Devyn just laid there. It was definitely Devyn's fault if she had forgotten... unless...

Skylar had already started changing back as the thought crossed her mind. Shortly enough, Devyn was lying on top of Skylar, who was now wearing just her under garments. She tried to remember to bring extra clothes when she was going to shift, but it was just such a nuisance to keep track of them once shifted so she often tended to 'forget'. She began to laugh as she looked at Devyn sorta holding her, "Oh really now?" she said before laughing again, "Good thing nobody else is around." she said teasing Devyn. Skylar definitely didn't mind it, but she enjoyed getting to poke fun at Devyn on the rare occasion that she was able to.

Skylar did her best but couldn't wipe the small grin from her face. It soon went away as Skylar remembered what she tried to ask the other girl before, "Anyways, like I was trying to ask you before, why are you bleeding?"

Devyn could not see Skylar blush, since that didn't really show up on a snow leopard with all that fur. In fact, Devyn was not sure if animals could actually blush, but she didn't think too hard on the matter since it was not a huge deal. She did in fact remember that when Skylar would shift back the other girl would be in less clothing, but she was pretty sure that Skylar didn't end up fully in the nude so it was not all that bad. At least Devyn had not issue lying next to a girl who would be half dressed…actually she would. Before when she was not on this whole ‘no more sleeping around’ deal she would have been fine but now it probably was going to be a problem. It was a bit too late to change her mind or point out that she might act a little odd since Skylar was already shifting back to her human form. Devyn losing her hold on the leopard so she would not make anything complicated.

Devyn did move to lay beside Skylar so she was not outright on top of the other girl and making things all the more difficult for herself. Plus she didn’t want to make Skylar uncomfortable at all so after moving to the side of the girl she moved a little to get comfortable again. “You never know, there could be other shifters or kids sneaky around trying to do something naughty out here.” Devyn teased back a little, a small smile spreading across her face before it faded away. She was happy that Skylar was here and that the other girl did have the effect of making Devyn feel a little better. It pretty much worked like that for her, if she had a close friend just spending time around them made her feel better. Even if this whole holding Skylar when she was in her undergarments was making things a little difficult for her even if she tried to not think about it. After a moment she let the other girl go and sat up. “Want my shirt?” Devyn asked, figuring at least to get a layer over Skylar would help make things a little less…challenging.

Devyn scratched at her head when Skylar asked her about why she was bleeding. Part of Devyn wanted to mess around and say something along the lines of ‘it’s that time of the month’ but decided to just be honest and not full around too much. “I punched the mirror in my bathroom and cut up my hand in the process. Just…really angry at everything and I always seemed to like taking my feelings out on things that can hurt me back.” Devyn admitted, thinking back to times of punching pretty much anything that would harm her back in the process. The pain told her that she was still alive and that emotional pain; while it still hurt really badly, was not the same as physical pain. “Self-harm is still stupid, so make sure you never do it.” Devyn pointed at Skylar and tightened the bandage around her hand a little, noting to herself that she had to do a better job of wrapping it later.

Skylar pursed her lips as she looked around, "Welp, I guess you got me there.." she said with a brief chuckle. Skylar chuckled again and shook her head at the offer, "No thanks, a little bit of clothing is better than none." she said with a smirk, since Devyn had a tendency to not wear a bra underneath her shirts because they were uncomfortable. She sat up as well and put her arms loosely around her knees as she looked to Devyn was she began to inform the blonde as to how she got her injuries.

Skylar playfully frowned, "It's a shame you don't think I can give you a good run." she said smirking, waving it off, "But don't worry, I wouldn't harm myself on purpose.
Just don't forget I'm going to be around if you need something." she said with a gentle smile, trying to reassure Devyn she'd be around next time, assuming there was going to be one, or at least Devyn would know if Skylar was leaving/coming back. She still had guilt deep down but she did her best to let it go, she realized it was a little selfish to not say anything to her best friend so she made a promise to herself she wouldn't leave, or at least inform Devyn next time.

She looked around the forest a bit, glancing up at the night Sky and looking at the numerous stars. "Aren't they pretty?" she asked curiously, "So free and all..." she said with a bit if a sigh. She wished she could go anywhere and everywhere as a leopard, so long as she was calm. It was just so relaxing to her, but she knew she couldn't, and probably would have to stay confined to using her ability in the school grounds only for a long time, so she did her best not to think about it much. On nights like this though, in all the quietness and stillness, her mind often drifted around randomly.

Devyn just smiled at Skylar as the other girl basically pointed out that Devyn had a point on the whole ‘others possibly being out here thing’ and that was that. The other girl turned down Devyn’s offer of her shirt and Devyn accepted it, for now. “Well, alright but if you change your mind, let me know. Promise I have a tank top underneath it.” Devyn pointed out because yes she didn’t often wear bra but did wear a tank top to make up for that for the most part. She didn’t really have a chest and with the kinds of clothing she wore it never really made it that obvious that she even had boobs. Unless someone was all up on them, which of course happened, but not of late because Devyn was avoiding it like the plague. Devyn adjusted how she was sitting a little, moving to lean her head on Skylar’s shoulder when the other girl looked comfortable with how she was sitting.

“Hey, I never said that. I didn’t know you were back until I had already broken the mirror.” Devyn pointed out as she just chuckled slightly; keeping her head on the other girl’s shoulder a still. Devyn gave a nod and was happy to hear that not only would Skylar not hurt herself but that she was going to be around if Devyn needed something. It was good to have her best friend back, and while she was still a little pissed at Skylar for leaving without saying anything in the first place; Skylar was back. “So if I say I need a hug and a nice night outside with my best friend. Would you be up for it?” Devyn asked as her small smirk remained on her face as she moved her head so her green eyes could look to Skylar. There was the silence then with Devyn watching as Skylar started to look around and point out about the stars in the sky. Devyn looked up to admire them for a moment, loving that you could only get such a view in places away from the big cities.

“Agreed. The stars are certainly pretty and it makes me wish that I could do this sort of thing every night. Classes and other things tend to get in the way however.” Devyn pointed out with a small snicker as she let out a deep breath before lying back down on the ground, still looking up at the sky. “I still would rather have my Pretty Eyes back here than being able to see the stars every night, but seems like I get to have both again.” Devyn stated after a moment as her good hand reached out to sort of poke Skylar in her side.

Skylar chuckled, it wasn't that cold out so she wasn't really in need of a shirt, she shook her head, "Good to know, thanks but I'm alright for now." She said as Devyn leaned her head on the blondes shoulder, Skylar not really caring much about the action. It was nothing more than a friendly gesture, right? That's how Skylar took it at least, figuring maybe Devyn was a little tired from running, and know they could do what Skylar had been spending most of her life on mastering; just relaxing at night and being lazy. Skylar actually tried to think of the last time she had spent out in the woods fairly peacefully, and just say back and looked at the magnificent sky and all it's wonders. She had otherwise been training and had been under more stress which simply lead to her not having enough time to be awake during the nighttime.

Skylar shrugged and put her hands up innocently, she was just messing around but she had a feeling Devyn knew that too, but that it was really for future reference. Skylar looked down and chuckled, "Well I mean, if that's what you needed then of course!" she said as she put her arm around Devyn, giving her a soft squeeze. She finically pointed out how she absolutely loved the stars and she sat there in the silence as the two gazed at them. Skylar sighed a bit as she nodded, "Classes are always the worse... That's why you try and get a study hall first or something." she said chuckling a bit, remembering the times she used that class to sleep since she had been out late the night before. She was hoping she'd be able to get out of most classes, since all she really needed was training and maybe just take a few elective classes instead of the core classes since technically she had completed all those already.

She laid back next to Devyn, still looking at the sky, wishing it had the answers to all of her problems in life, but for now that would only be a dream of hers. She let out a chuckle as the blonde turned her head to look at Devyn, then squirming a bit as Devyn poked her very sensitive side and gave her a warning glare, "Hey now, watch where you're poking me..." she said, warning Devyn, a grin on her face though. She did her best to put an arm across her stomach, with her hand covering most of her side to protect from any further pokes, hoping Devyn took her warning seriously. Skylar was very ticklish and thusly didn't like when people tickled her.

“Alright, again just let me know if you change your mind.” Devyn said with a small smile, happy to lend over her clothing to help a friend out. In fact she recalled giving her pants to Andrew, a hoodie to Vera, and a whole pj set to Zoe one of the nights her girlfriend…ex-girlfriend had stayed the night over. Devyn didn’t like to think about the whole ex thing in font of girlfriend, she still did not want to believe that after all of those months together and bringing Zoe out of her shell and just all that work. Plus they never even got to go all the way, which would have never happened in the first place and Devyn accepted it but it just felt so odd to have lost a relationship without being able to full out ‘make love’; as Zoe called it, to Zoe. It was a friendly gesture that Devyn did with resting her head on Skylar’s shoulder since she was doing the whole ‘no sleeping around; deal at the moment.

Her and Skylar had kissed several times and teased one another, but they had yet to actually go all the way. Devyn had been tempted of course, but now she could not allow that to happen for the sake of really trying at this whole thing. It was nice to just lay out here, enjoying each other company and just taking a moment to relax. Devyn needed it; bad, and was really thankful that Skylar had invited her out here for this. Devyn knew what Skylar was getting at and she appreciated it, she just knew that she needed something now from the other girl. Thankful that Skylar complied, giving her a hug that Devyn sort of melded into and returned. “Yeah…well I’ll be a Senior this year, hopefully I don’t have to repeat because of issues with my power.” Devyn said, thinking ahead to the school year and how she was now a 12th grader finally. It was a little scary because she was so close to being counted an adult and she still did not know what to do with her life.

Devyn could not help but snuggle up closer to Skylar when the other girl laid down next to her, making herself comfortable but also making sure Skylar was comfortable as well. The body heat was nice and at least it would help make sure that Skylar didn’t get too cold too soon. “Oh, watch huh? So should I poke you somewhere else?” Devyn teased wiggling her fingers as she reached over for Skylar but didn’t actually poke her or do anything. She was smirking a little. “Are you ticklish Skylar?” Devyn asked, keeping a smirk on her face, debating if she was going to tickle Skylar or not but was leaning towards the not because she was kind of comfy just laying here with the other girl.

The blonde nodded, "Will do." she said to Devyn, letting her know that she'd be sure to let Devyn know if any mind changing happened. She chuckled a bit as she looked to Devyn while she was talking about her worries for the upcoming year, "Hey now, don't worry about that, you've still got the whole year to practice, and look at me, I am a senior too this year..." She paused and playfully rolled her eyes, "Again. Plus, if for some reason you do come back for another year, I'm positive you won't be the only one." Although it may seem weird to be a senior for another year, here at the school it was definitely something that wasn't unusual. Not only that, although there were various reasons they stayed back, most often it was because they too didn't have too much control over her powers, I mean, that's kinda why Skylar had ended up a senior for a second year.

As the two laid there next to each other, Skylar took a moment to close her eyes and soak in all the peace and serenity the forest brought forth at night. Some may have called her crazy to always go into the forest at night, but it was so very relaxing and she often found herself waking up in the forest instead of her own room. As she laid there she kind of wished she had a sort of den with some mossy floors to make as her room instead. That thought was absolutely wonderful, no annoying roommates, always being in the forest. She wouldn't have to be all sneaky to leave her room at night. She let out a sigh of content, "That would be the life..." she said softly, accidentally aloud.

A grin broke across her face as a small chuckle escaped her lips as she glared at Devyn, "No, you most definitely shouldn't poke me anywhere else, and I am not ticklish." she blatantly lied. Skylar though, was most definitely ticklish most places when she was a human. As her leopard she wasn't ticklish, and poking didn't really have much effect on her, besides from just being annoying after a while. She fell quiet for a moment, assuming Devyn hadn't poked her again and closed her eyes once more as she began to soak in the calmness again.

"True and I'm kind of happy that you have to repeat your Senior year. We probably will get to be in a few classes with one another and I'll see you around more often." Devyn pointed out with a smile spreading across her face as she spoke. She had been worried about Skylar going off to college or leaving the area and her fears had come true in a way. Skylar had left and for a while Devyn thought she was not going to ever see her friend again. So while it did suck in a way that Skylar had to repeat her Senior year, Devyn honestly was happy about it. Now she could bother the other girl in class and at least be able to have her friend around with her for another year. "True. I knew a guy who ended up having to stay here until he turned twenty years old. I hope I don't end up like that but if I don't figure out what I'm going to do with my life I might end up faking not having control over my power so I can stay here a little longer." Devyn said in a teasing tone and even chuckled a little by that idea was pretty much what she had in mind.

She still did not know what she was going to do with her life and once she graduated and if she didn't go to college then she would be all on her own. The school was a place that pretty much took care of all those needs that she didn't really want to worry about but her time was running out. She just tried to not think about it too much at the moment since she wanted to keep the good mood that she was in but she knew that sooner or later she was going to have to start figuring things out. The ease was nice and comfortable but it also meant that Devyn was going to end up falling asleep if things kept up like this. Not that she minded that happening at all, but she did not want to seem rude or anything to Skylar. Devyn was just really comfortable and had at least a moment of peace in her life that she was starting to just slowly give up on. "What would be the life?" Devyn asked when Skylar spoke up about something being the life. Devyn was not fully sure if the girl was talking about something that she had said or had been thinking something in her head.

"Uh-huh." Devyn responded back to Skylar’s words about how Devyn should not poke Skylar and how she was not ticklish. Devyn could just tell that was a lie and it made her want to tickle the other girl all the more. Instead she just moved to lie on her side so her front was facing Skylar. Arms moving to go around the other girl and Devyn just sort of nuzzled into the other girl. "You are lucky I feel more like sleeping then trying to tickle you until you wet yourself." Devyn said with a smirk as she snickered a little.

Skylar chuckled, "I'm much quieter in class, though it could be fun to have classes together." Skylar knew it would be fun, but she was also a pretty different person during class than out here alone, or out when she was with Devyn. In class Skylar went back into her shell and pretty much remained quiet through the day, doing what was needed to make it through the day in one piece. Not only was she quiet and reserved, but she didn't have many friends either, which, depending on how you looked at it, helped resist the urge to talk to people during class. Skylar frowned at the thought of Devyn faking the control over her powers, "Aw, don't do that, you can always go to college and go to classes that help you to figure out what interests you the most." She really didn't want Devyn to stay a senior another year, then this year of being classmates would be a one time thing, and Devyn definitely could go to college if she wanted to.

She thought about telling her that she could go to college, and if she finds something to do while she is in college she can always drop out, or at least she thought one would be able to and due to her unsureness, she decided to keep it back for now. The blonde would definitely have to look into it though, since it was definitely a possibly for her as well, assuming she found something to do. Skylar frowned for a moment as her face turned red in embarrassment, "Oh uh, I didn't mean to say that aloud.. Sorry." she said with a chuckle, "But anyways, I think a room out here would be nice, like a small cave with some mossy flooring." she happily sighed at the thought. "It's just really peaceful, living out here you could practically have no cares." While it would be peaceful, this whole idea was probably a lot of her inner animal speaking.

Skylar nodded, then let out a sort of squeak and tensed up as Devyn drew close to her, figuring the other girl was going to test that theory. She soon relaxed though as she noticed it was simply a hug, and silently thanked someone. She chuckled as Devyn spoke, Skylar was indeed very lucky and somehow Devyn managed to see through her fib about being ticklish. She thought about protesting how she was definitely not ticklish but decided not to push her luck and have Devyn be more tempted to tickle her.

"Oh are you? That might be good then. Think you can get me to behave in class then?" Devyn asked with a smirk on her face because she was not really the best student out there. She procrastinated, feel asleep in class a lot, and when she was awake and saw someone she knew, she could not help but to chat a little. She would try to at least be a little better, but having a friend in class to keep her in line would help out a lot. Devyn was pretty much the same kind of person that she always was, not matter where she was. She didn't care what people thought of her or what she did so long as she was not outright hurting someone, she didn't see it as a big deal. There were only two places that Devyn could think have when she was not fully her normal self. That was whenever she was around her mother and if she was around needles and a lot of medication. She rarely took medication herself and it had to be medication hat she herself brought. Needles were just an overall no-no for her no matter what.

Devyn looked at Skylar when the other girl said that she should not fake not having control over her power in order to repeat her Senior year. Suggesting that Devyn could go to college to buy herself more time and take classes in order to figure out what she liked. Skylar had a good point and Devyn did note that down as something she could and should do. She didn't like school but it would allow her to test different things out and maybe find something that she was good at besides what she already knew she was good at. Plus if Skylar and Zoe went to college she would see them there too, along with Vera, Beau, and a few others of her friends. "Alright, I'll try that then instead of failing on purpose." Devyn said, practically giving her word on the matter but didn't fully just in case something else happened. She really didn't know how much more she could take of all the crap that she had to deal with year after year. Was she really not allowed happiness for too long?

Skylar stated that she had not meant to say the whole 'that would be the life' out loud, so it had been an inside thought that slipped out. Devyn listened as the other girl explained what she thought would be a nice place to live. Devyn could only relate in terms of livening out in the woods, but not everything else. "You are such a snow leopard." Devyn teased with a small chuckle since she figured a big part of Skylar's desires was because of her other half. Devyn would have just desired living out in the woods, right under the stars, but she didn't want to be fully alone. She wanted others with her, but her other half was a pack animal so that made sense that she had such desires. Devyn fell into silence then, eyes closing as she let out a slow deep breath, taking in all the scents that she could and memorizing Skylar's again. "Would you mind taking a nap out here with me? Just a quick one?" Devyn asked, not wanting to do it if Skylar didn't but thought it would be nice.

Skylar shrugged with a grin on her face, "Assuming you don't get me to talk more, I think something like that could be a possibility." she said with a chuckle. If Devyn really wanted Skylar to help her stay focused in the classes they had together, she would be more than happy to, but if Devyn didn't really want her too, then that was alright too. She wouldn't try and get Devyn to stop talking or wake up if she got tired and fell asleep unless the other girl actually wanted to. She herself didn't really care for school either, though she was an alright student. She did what she needed to pass and did her best not to make enemies with the teachers because maybe one day she would be a teacher too, though that wasn't really want she was hoping to do when she was older.

The blonde gave her friend a grin as she said she would at least try to go to college and not fail on purpose. At the least, she was happy that Devyn was even considering her idea, and not being super stubborn about staying for another year. She would have definitely missed Devyn if she stayed at the highschool for another year, and been a bit sad that she stayed back another year, partly because Devyn wanted her to, but she wanted to aswell, due to her powers and the fact that she'd then be in Devyn's grade; she would have been sad at the fact that staying back a year would have pretty much been super pointless.

Skylar chuckled and rolled her eyes, she kind of saw Devyn calling her a leopard, coming. She herself would have probably said something along the same lines as Devyn had she been the one to say that. Unlike Devyn and her pack-like mentality, Skylar didn't mind being alone at all, and most leopards were solitary creatures as well, which probably explained a lot of her quietness around others. Skylar looked at Devyn if she was joking, "You really don't even need to ask. I'm always down for a nap, with anyone and pretty much anywhere." she said with a chuckle and a sly grin. She was being completely serious though, she was always down for a nap, and never judged others for taking them. They were just so great. So maybe she wouldn't have been down to taking a nap with anyone but, the point se was trying to convey was that Skylar thoroughly enjoyed naps, always. No matter the time or place. She huddled herself next to Devyn, and wrapped an arm around her, "Thanks for coming out, I had a great time." se said figuring their night it the woods was slowly coming to an end.

"Well, if you want to be a bad student, I'm pretty confident in my ability to get you to be bad with me." Devyn said with her trademark smirk when she was up to something naughty, yet it did not stay on her face long. It faded and soon her face just returned to her looking like she was deep in thought. She was and even if she kept fighting it, it seemed like she could not fully stay out of her thoughts. It was like her mind was determined for her to be stuck in the darkness of her brain and think through all of it. Try and figure it out and perhaps find the cause to the problem of everything wrong in her life. Maybe she was what was wrong? He mother would agree, but if her dad heard her say that he would be disappointed in her. Not that he dad was around anymore, he had not been for years, and it was not even like her father even knew what he mother did. No one did. Only Devyn and her mother knew the truth of it all and that was how Devyn planned for it to stay forever.

Damn it...I'm just so tired. Devyn thought to herself and it was not that she was just physically tired, she was mentally tired. A smile was brought back to Devyn's face as Skylar gave her that look like Devyn had just said some kind of joke. Pleased to hear that she never really needed to ask Skylar to lay down and take a nap with the other girl. "I just wanted to be sure. Don't ever want to push on you too much if you are say not in a touchy mood." Devyn said, since she knew personally that she did not always want to be touched. Well, that was actually a lie. Devyn was a very, very physically person and especially wanted to be touched when she was upset. Even if she sometimes put up a 'fight' by moving away or saying not to come near her; deep down she wanted someone to ignore all of that. To just force their way and hug her or make her stop the harm no matter what she said.

"Thanks for coming back. Sorry if we didn't too much. Tonight was just...not the best of nights but I'll make it up to you. Promise." Devyn said, feeling bad that they had basically come out here, fought, and then chanced one another, before laying down for a nap. Devyn saw that as a good time even if it was simple, but she didn't know how Skylar felt about it. Either way Devyn's green eyes were already closed and she could feel herself drifting off. "Night Skylar." Devyn mumbled a little before she completely feel asleep, snuggled up close and nice and warm against her friends. Pretty much one of her best friend and Devyn really needed them for the dark days ahead.
