Devyn really, really did not know why she was doing this...well at least not like on a surface level. It was a good idea at the time back before things with SPECTRE happened, back when she and Zoe had not been going out as long as they had been and with fewer issues. Devyn was just making it up as he went along at this point, not even sure what she should have been doing. She didn't even want to think about it, just to do it and call it another day. Devyn had tried to make sense of it, even trying to get Beau to understand it, but it really was complicated. Complicated, stupid, and just making her feel angry about it. She didn't want to talk about this. Devyn did catch that Beau seemed to be in the verge of smiling and he was shaking his head. Did he find this funny? Did she do or say something funny? Just thinking that Beau wanted to laugh at her confusion just made her feel even more anger as the shadows in the room moved a little more.
"I don't know what I'm worried about. I just know I need to break up with her." Devyn quickly responded, putting down the weights so she didn't end up throwing them at a wall or something. Sticking to sitting on the ground and rubbing at her father’s ring to keep herself more or less calm. Beau was still speaking however. "You have not seen me try a poem. Trust me, I need your help." Devyn pointed out, looking down still and messed with her hair a little bit. Beau pointing out how they didn’t really have much in common but they were still hanging out with one another. What did he mean by 'that was what he should do? Devyn was looking up at him confused a little bit. "...I don't get what you mean by that. Are you saying I'm making this love song because it's what I should do?" Devyn asked, absolutely lost, but at least she was not angry.
