]The boys still had that whole "are they gonna eat us" expression on their faces, which just amused Elsa greatly. They moved forward though, each taking their respective dance partners' hands. Elsa led her own partner out toward the floor, glancing over at Roxana to make certain the other did the same. Elsa was tempted to insist that Roxana would have to, if she was going to keep an eye on her target, but it seemed like things were going to go Elsa's way anyway (as was custom).
Soon enough, Elsa was on the dance floor with a shivering boy. "Just focus on dancing, I'm not interested in anything else," Elsa insisted. She adjusted her partner's hands, taking him. He wasn't the worst dance partner Elsa had ever had. She'd danced with far uglier and far clumsier in her time acting as the family ambassador. They'd gotten lucky in that the dance was a mid-tempo number too, which did away with the awkwardness that came from two strangers slow dancing.
Muscle memory took over for Elsa within a few moments. She'd been a ballerina once upon a time, not to mention learning enough ballroom dancing to function just fine. Her body remembered that time and helped her glide along, directing her poor partner who actually fared decently well for a trembling wallflower. Clearly he'd at least watched people dancing, possibly even knew what to do. Elsa offered him a tight smile, figuring a little approval couldn't hurt. Then she looked about for Roxana, wondering if her "bodyguard" fared equally as well.

Roxana was tempted to scare the boy she was with because of that look on his face. If she was going to hurt him she would have done it by now so he should ease up. She would have said as much, but instead decided to enjoy that expression. Looking at him with a simple small smile to ready him better while he would be lost. Confused more so wondering if she was actually enjoying herself or if that was some kind of forced smile. It was a natural smile of course but it did have a hidden message behind it, just to mess with the boy. Elsa had won in a way once more with this little dance thing, but Roxana noted it down and was going to make sure that when she could actually defy what Elsa wanted she was going to. It would be interesting to see how the other girl would react to being told no or that someone was not going to do what she had ordered.
After Roxana said her words she didn't say anything else, helping her partner as well make sure that he was at least doing something right. She had not lucked out with a partner who knew how to dance. Several times her feet had almost been stepped on but Roxana was quick and able to avoid most of them. Even when she could not she didn't really have heels on or anything; because what insane bodyguard would wear a pair when working, so it did not hurt her feet. It was clear why they had not asked anyone to dance at least, since they didn't know how to dance and just the movement of it all look like the person was dying or had some kind of uncomfortable wedgey. Roxana dealt with it either way and tried to help them along, whisper words of advice on how to move and showing them a little bit. Even having to take on the 'male role' in dancing for a moment to make it clear and towards the end of the song they seemed to at least be getting it.
The guy did end up stumbling over Roxana's feet at one point and she had to actually catch him. It would have been embarrassing for him if he just went splat on the floor. Around that time Roxana caught Elsa looking, returning a look that was basically 'never again' and she half way meant it. When the song was over Roxana was going to still be polite and say thank you for the dance but even if the boy did manage to brave up and ask her for another dance she was going to turn him down.

Fortunately for Roxana, or more accurately, Roxana's feet, the song proved to be relatively short. Elsa had just smirked at the expression, eventually pulling away from her partner. The years of being polite kicked in then, as Elsa politely thanked the young man for the dance but told him that she and her friend had other things to do. She'd pointed in a more or less random direction before moving to grab Roxana and more or less pull the other girl away.
"Can you really not dance or was he just that bad?" she asked, not looking at Roxana but at the stage. A song or two more, and then Elsa would have to go up and announce. After that, they could end this silly appearance, and Elsa could go slink off to the estate and be done with it all. "I'm guessing the latter," she said, her eyes still on the stage, "seeing as I'd imagine dancing lessons were part of your training. If not, they really should be: a bodyguard would have to fit in with a crowd like this after all."
With that, and no other word, Elsa began making her way through the crowd, greeting people. She saw several she recognized, most of them not important enough to really stop and think about. Still, she had to do her duty as a Bellefonte, and that meant fielding questions and telling people that yes, yes they would be crowning everyone soon, just wait a few more minutes.

Roxana was more than thankful that the song ended and had not been a long one at that. If it had been well she might have been a little more so on the not so nice side, but she was still in a good mood at the moment. Thanking the boy for the dance and before the boy or Roxana could say anything else; she was more or less grabbed and pulled off by Elsa. Almost stumbling at first because she was not actually used to Elsa touching her...like at all. The first handshake that they had done and the whole hand on the shoulder thing happened yes, but those did not lead to Roxana being pulled off anywhere. It was odd and made her give an odd look for a small moment before going back to a more or less blank expression and she moved with Elsa to where Elsa was headed off to. Roxana gave an eye roll at the question, not even feeling like she actually had to answer that question for Elsa.
Elsa should have known that Roxana had training in many areas in order to do her best at her job in many different situations. She had to be able to dance, make friends, speak other languages, and pretty much almost do anything that someone else did. She did not have to be perfect at the other things, but she had to do them well enough unless it was fine to not be good at something in a situation. Elsa already guessed the latter in terms of the dancing and spoke about how if not then it was needed. "You are right that I do know how to dance. In both the female and male roles of dancing." Roxana responded, not sure if that was all the important or not, but she wanted to be clear that Elsa knew that she could in fact dance. She just ended up with a bad dance partner, but more or less managed and perhaps after guiding the boy a bit he would do better next time he danced. In general Roxana at least hoped the boys would have a little bit more courage to ask someone to dance after dancing with her and Elsa.
Elsa went silent then and Roxana did the same, following the other girl, and doing her job. She was watching Elsa a little more closely for other reasons for a moment, but still kept doing her scans and would nod and return any greetings that were given to her. She was more or less just Elsa's shadow in her mind at the moment while she was doing her job. Elsa would soon give her announcements of who won and then would likely leave. Then Roxana would return to her dorm after possibly peeking in on the after party. Wonder what she is going to do at the after party. Figure she is not going to do that typical stereotype event that tags along with prom. Roxana thought to herself, wondering if Elsa was going to allow herself more of a break then just the dancing she had done and the cup of punch she had.

Eye rolls were to be expected; they constituted at least twenty percent of Elsa and Roxana's communication with one another. As did the smirk that came on the Bellefonte's lips next as Roxana insisted that she knew how to dance, not only dance as a woman, but also as a man. Elsa looked over at her companion at that latter part, raising her brow. Oh yes, there was a question laying there which would most certainly be poked and prodded at some time in the near future.
Not immediately, however, as Elsa had to do her thing. One or two people asked her who her shadow was, and Elsa mostly blew them off. No one they needed to know, and she didn't see any reason to drag Roxana into this mess. A good bodyguard could essentially become invisible, be part of the furniture. It wouldn't do either of them any good if Elsa opted to destroy or disrupt that. Elsa passed by a happy blonde couple she vaguely recognized as being Beau LaRoux and Liz Edison. The girl seemed to know who she was, the boy seemed more than a little confused. Elsa briefly wondered if they were going to end up the queen and king; they certainly looked the part.
Elsa glanced at the clock again, realizing that she should probably take the stage after the next number ended. To her surprise, when she looked back, a dashing Hispanic boy had come up, offering her his hand and suggesting they dance. She looked for Roxana briefly, before deciding that Roxana could find her own partner or, far more likely, she could sit this one out and stare at Elsa. that seemed to be what Roxana wanted to do, and Elsa wasn't someone who'd drag her out and insist that she have fun.

It was indeed true that there was a bit of unspoken communication that happened between the two of them often. One of them or the both of them would always end up rolling their eyes and the same applied to the whole smirking thing. It happened every time they were around one another without fail. Still they somehow were still friend or maybe more so a mix of friends and enemies. Roxana was still not fully sure, but Elsa had introduced her as a friend so that in itself probably was good enough to just go with them being friends. Even if Roxana wanted to 'put the hurt on' the other girl from time to time, but figured Elsa wanted to do the same in her own way. Elsa didn't seem like a physically violent person, but she clearly could think it and would not have any problem getting someone else to do her work for her. That had already been proven. There was an eyebrow raise that had Roxana preparing for a question and a possibly some sort of joke, insult, or tease to go with it.
Neither of which left Elsa's lips and just left Roxana thinking about it in the back of her mind. Wanting to be ready for when Elsa would end up saying something, if she even did. A few people asked Elsa who was following her, but Elsa did not answer and Roxana was perfectly fine with that. She preferred to be the one asking the questions after all and not the other way around. Roxana noticed a few people that she knew, well knew about. She still did not really have that many friends at the school yet, but pretty much accepted that and was not going to get all down about it. She still had contact with a few of her friends back at her old school, so that small part of being a normal high school student had not been fully taken away from her. Roxana caught Elsa glancing at the clock and noted the time down herself, knowing it would not be that much longer until Elsa would go up to make the announcements. It was interesting to see a guy walk up to Elsa to dance.
Roxana just gave a blank look to Elsa when the other girl looked at her briefly. There was no need for words and Elsa knew that. She just gave a small tug on her dog caller and more or less started to blend in with the crown when Elsa would go off to dance with her partner. Roxana still pretty close and her eyes were locked on Elsa and the boy that had asked her to dance. She was not going to ignore the small feeling of suspicion in her stomach about this guy. He had been brave enough to ask Elsa to dance after all and it was Roxana's job to be suspicious and not trust anyone when she was on the job after all. Her right hand already had a small crystal dagger forming in it, ready to be used if she needed to.

Had Elsa been paying a little closer attention to Roxana and noticed the other tensing up, she probably would have laughed. She appreciated that her companion wanted to look after her, make sure that nothing happened to her target and all that, but in this case, she hardly thought such attentions were needed. The boy just looked like one of those fearless sorts, who was likely doing this out of some kind of dare. Dance with the Bitch, get bragging rights for the time being. He certainly moved at a decent enough pace, forcing Elsa to keep up.
All those years of dance and moving helped though. Elsa easily whirled about the floor, moving even well enough in her outfit and heels. The guy did seem to almost always be a step ahead of her, which surprised Elsa in the best possible way. The song ended soon enough though, and Elsa simply gave her partner a smile, something resembling a curtsy, and a farewell before making her way back through the crowd.
Soon Elsa was back at the refreshment table, cracking open another bottle of water. She waited till she felt Roxana move behind her, glancing over her shoulder. "It's almost time for me to make the announcement. Could you please get the envelopes from the back room and meet me on the stage?" she gestured toward the room, nodding. She figured that the politeness would save them both some arguing. Elsa was beginning to feel weary from all this, ready to just have it done with. Get up to the stage, give her little spiel, and she'd be good to head home to hopefully rest for a little bit until the after party began.

Roxana could care less if they guy more or less just was bold or doing this on some kind of dare. She had been trained to always remain alert, trust no one, and the person you would least suspect could very well be the threat. She understood that all too well and could relate since she herself was also thought a little less than because she was young. So this guy still would be suspicious to her and she kept a close eye on hi while still making sure to check around the area as well. Not bothering to ask anyone to dance or mingle with anyone. It was not like she had too many friends and the two she had she didn't see one of them here and the other probably was not going to show since she was so shy. Elsa seemed to be enjoying herself so Roxana did relax a little bit, but not all that much, playing with the crystal dagger in her hand and just keeping an eye on things.
There was a small moment of boredom, but that tended to happen every now and again with this kind of job. Roxana enjoyed it, but she was still a teenager and did have her mind wonder off to other things a little bit from time to time. Nothing getting in the way of doing her job however. Half tempted to turn the dagger into something else, which was going to have to happen as one point or another. she could not just make is disappear once she created it, so reshaping it was the only option unless someone didn't mind slipping on or possibly getting stab with a crystal dagger. Elsa finished up her dance and made her way through the crowd. Roxana following, but more or less still staying out of site in case Elsa wanted to be left alone to do her own thing. She did approach behind the other girl a little bit as Elsa stopped at the refreshment table and got herself something to drink. Then glancing over her shoulder to look at Roxana and ask a favor.
This favor didn't really feel like a job a body guard or a knight would do for a princess, but more of a servant’s job. Then again, a knight was still a type of servant to a princess and Elsa had asked nicely. The pleased shocking Roxana a little bit, but she didn't really give it away in her face, more or less in her thoughts she did however. "Sure. Stay safe and see you there." Roxana said simply, lingering there for just a moment longer, honestly worried that the moment she would go do this favor that she would end up failing this job. She didn't want to fail her job, didn't want any of her targets to get hurt or end up dead. Still, she could not be so worried, Elsa might catch on and tease her about it, so she focused on going to go get the envelopes for Elsa, finding them without much trouble and would wait on the stage for Elsa to show up. Granted she was just barley on the stage and in the far back to still remain out of sight while she waited.

Manners not only saved arguing, but they could obviously serve as something like a weapon in instances like this. Elsa smiled a somewhat tight, somewhat mischievous smile at Roxana as the other agreed to gather things for her. That just meant one less thing for Elsa to do; it also meant that there could be some potential to groom Roxana. Elsa wanted to keep her attentions on Roxana; she kept proving too useful to simply let slide away.
Grander thoughts for later. For now, Elsa had to work her way to the stage, still carrying the water. This proved easy enough. Once people realized who she was and what she was about to do, they were quite eager to get out of her way, some even bothered her about the answers. She just gave them tight smiles for the most part, holding up the hands which only held the water bottle.
Soon enough, Elsa would be on the stage. She took one last swig of the water before moving to grab the microphone. A signal got the band working themselves down, and soon Elsa Bellefonte began with the standards: what a wonderful night, hope you're all having a blast, thanks to the people who put this together, though with a slight addition: "This is us moving on, us proving to everyone that we're every bit as feeling, as human as they are, and that we're going to be awesome every step of the way," just a little bit, but Elsa knew how to sprinkle those little bits in. She made a note to do the same whenever Erika began to take things over.
She expected that Roxana would show with the envelopes soon enough. Just get those read and then get the hell out of here. That last should put a little more bounce in Roxana's step, and they could certainly use that.

Roxana caught the smile, but didn't comment or think too much about it and was just going to let Elsa think whatever it was she was thinking. No, Roxana did not see this as a thing that meant she could be 'trained, fixed, or changed' out of what she currently was now. She didn't know what Elsa was thinking, and at the moment she did not care since she was focused on looking after the girl for now. Another day and another night would be the time to think about and care what Elsa was thinking. For now, it did not matter since Roxana could not see there being anything that would be too much of a big deal or concern to her. She would have been happy to hear that Elsa still thought she was useful, but would have been curious and maybe a little concerned about the whole not being able to simply slide away. She was no mind reader however, so she merely walked away to go get what Elsa had asked for.
Soon as she makes the announcement, she more than likely will leave. Roxana thought to herself, this meaning that as soon as Elsa was done with it, then she could leave then. Her body guard job would be done, mission success, and after checking really quickly on the others then she could call it a night herself. She had some things to take care off and would like to get them done sooner or later. So she had gotten what was asked, without taking too much time. Elsa on the stage already speaking as Roxana lingered back for a moment. Listening to Elsa's words and giving a small nod to what she was saying. Noting that Elsa was more or less good at this sort of thing as well. Waiting for a moment before going to approach and hand the envelopes over to Elsa. She figured she and Erika might do the honors, but she was not sure and nor did she really care. She didn't win and as soon as this was over, the better in her eyes.
Once she would hand off the envelope she would slink back to her spot hidden on the stage. Only staying there for a moment until Elsa and possibly her sister would get into calling names. Then she would make her way off to the stage and more or less hide within the crowd. Waiting for Elsa to get done and off the stage before she would approach the other girl. To at least say bye and wish Elsa a good night and all.

Good, Roxana was in position, which meant that Elsa could finish this up. She didn't want to rush it though. Okay, she did, but she felt that she shouldn't, especially given what she'd just said. She needed to treat this like it would've been treated if they hadn't just gone through a horror show disguised as an action movie: as if this was the biggest deal of the school year. So she hesitated, drew it out, and then got to announce prince first.
Elsa was actually pleased that Franck won, seeing as, well, she liked him, even if she wasn't sure that he liked her. The smile she wore as he came up was genuine though, and she placed the crown on his head with all the ceremony he deserved. When it came to the princess, Elsa was surprised to not be reading Frank's name, but she did recall that the strange young man with the blog had been pulling for a "Lux" to win. The girl looked like she'd rather be anywhere else, so Elsa hurried that one along for her sake.
Then king and queen. King hadn't been a surprise at all: of course Beau won. Most of the auditorium cheered as the handsome boy, now something of a war hero on top of everything else, took the stage, looking thrilled, clearly not believing that he was the shoe-in that everyone had said. After that came Elizabeth Edison, which was a bit of a surprise, as Erika had been in the running. Elsa had turned it into a tone of surprise though, recognizing one of Erika's friends. Well, that and she knew that Beau and Liz had apparently been together in some form or fashion.
The court. Then introduced with Elsa insisting that they dance together, though several people were practically chanting that Beau and Liz perform. "Dance first, then sing," advised Elsa. She didn't stick around for either though, heading off stage and, hopefully, out of the auditorium. She'd made her appearance; she could leave now.

Roxana remained silent the whole time the speech was being given and the names were said, clapping at the right times. She didn’t really know-know most of the people that were called on like a personal level, so it was not that big of a deal to her. She did know all of their names and a few of their powers. She knew Beau and she knew Luxanna; clapping maybe a little bit more when Lux’s name was called, but Roxana did see Luxanna as something of a friend. Even if the other girl didn’t possibly see her the same way or how they didn’t really talk or hang out with one another in a while. They were roommates so Rox figured they would have had more time together, but SPECTRE and then one of their other roommates clearly had a thing for Lux. Roxana was not sure how to take it all and knew that Lux apparently was supposed to end up going with the guy, but she didn’t know for sure and didn’t think on it too hard. Not that she was jealous or anything, nope. She had nothing to be jealous about.
Roxana did make a note to herself to perhaps meet Beau one on one sometimes later on in the weeks so she could congratulate him on his win but also to check in on him about the things that happened with SPECTRE. Beau had been right there with her and followed all of her orders very well, even using her power. She had made sure that he did not end up dead, and while he did get shot he was still alive and there standing with his date. Roxana waited until Elsa made her way off the stage, seeing that Elsa did fully intend to leave so that meant that Roxana could do the same. Moving to stand in front of Elsa to stop the girl and held out her hand. Wanting to do a simple handshake. “You did well up there. I just wanted to wish you a good night and to again let you know that you looked stunning tonight.” Roxana said with a small smile, not trying to get anything out of Elsa. Just being polite, wanted to say her good nights and then leave Elsa be. That was all.
She was not sure if Elsa was going to do the whole handshaking thing back or say anything in return, but she did wait for a moment for it, just in case. Either way she would give a small bow and then head off to handle checking in on her other targets and then handing a few other things before she would call it a night.

Elsa moved away from the stage, glad to get out of the spotlight for at least the moment. She let out a deep breath, feeling a little relief seep in. Good, she needed some relief about now. Roxana appeared then, and Elsa nearly jumped at the bodyguard's appearance. she blinked, wondering what the other girl was doing. Outstretched hand, small smile, compliment again (why?). Ah, Elsa got it.
"Yes, I'm just brilliant in front of a crowd," agreed Elsa, though her voice didn't quite have the edge that it so often did. She let out another breath, then took the hand for a quick shake. "I'll see you around," she said, releasing the hand after only a few seconds, noting the bow and how Roxana headed off. She debated asking about the party, suggesting that Roxana attend, but she knew neither of them were really party people. Best to just leave it at that.
Besides, Elsa was far more interested in getting out of there and getting somewhere she could let her hair down, quite literally, in fact. So she headed out of the gymnasium, the path much easier now that everyone had become distracted with the court's first dance and all. Elsa did pause for a moment, noticing that Beau and Liz did look almost magical. Could she have that? Did she want it? Well, not tonight: her prom had just been another night of work, another in a long line of appearances she had to make. Elsa shook her head and headed out the door, leaving the masses to themselves for at least the time being.
