Prom: it felt nice to dress up

"Right, so then if we go off to the bathroom then..." Devyn said with a smirk, dropping of her sentence there to let Zoe figure it out. It was not hard to figure out what Devyn was getting at so she didn't feel the need to spell it out for Zoe. Even more so because it was her way of teasing Zoe back for pretty much everything Zoe had done now. Now thinking about it, Devyn was pretty sure her first time was in a bathroom...maybe. She had been with a lot of people over the years and had had her fun times in places outside of the bedroom a ton of times. Yet Devyn was pretty sure that Zoe probably would not want to lose it in the bathroom. It was not really romantic enough for Zoe mostly likely, where in Devyn case she could have cared less where it was done back when she lost hers and even now. She just knew she wanted it and Zoe being her desire was just going to end up bad for the both of them.

A sly smile from Zoe that had Devyn wondering for a moment, but that wonder was brushed away with Zoe's words. She would just have to find one of her friends to dance with on other silly songs. That was fine with Devyn. "Cool by me, so long as they are not a male." Devyn said in a simple and matter of fact tone since she only really cared if Zoe ended up dancing with a guy. Guys had parts that could pop up if they got to excited and Devyn did not want Zoe to go through that for one and also again the fact that Devyn really did not trust guys around Zoe. They were threats and she was always going to think that and have a small bit of jealousy or possessiveness over Zoe if it came to her and another guy. Devyn actually did want to meet those who Zoe called friends; see the kind of people Zoe hung out with, and if there were any hot girls.

Devyn got into position as well, moving to the music and what the singer said for them to do. It was pretty simple, basic, and not that big of a deal in Devyn’s book of exciting things to do. She still smiled while dancing and did enjoy herself in a way, if not just for Zoe's sake. The song was catchy and sometimes you could not help but to dance to these classic silly songs. There was nudging and Devyn nudging Zoe back after messing with her hat for a moment. "I'm doing it all. If a slow song does not come up after this, we are getting some punch." Devyn said as she tried to hide the devious smirk that wanted to appear on her face. The punch was most likely spiked and Devyn wanted to see how Zoe was with a drink and possibly drunk. Could be fun or a really, really bad idea.

Zoe lightly swatted at her girlfriend for the comment regarding sneaking off to the bathroom. as if Devyn hadn't realized that such a comment would result in a swat or something worse. They had met in a bathroom, mind, and Zoe wouldn't mind going back there at some point. Certainly not for prom though, and definitely not while she was dressed as she was. It did feel like an odd place to have met someone you loved though, but then again, odd situations did seem to pop up around their relationship, didn't it?

Devyn didn't seem to mind if Zoe danced... with other girls. That had Zoe frowning for a moment. "But... I don't like boys," she had to point out, despite her history contradicting her in that regard. It just struck her as odd: she could dance with people she might actually be attracted to (Mae's name again sprang to Zoe's mind here), but she couldn't with people she never felt anything but platonic affection toward? Zoe probably would've lingered more on that, except, well, the whole dance came up. So Zoe ended up moving into position, smiling at her girlfriend again.

The statement had Zoe giggling, but she nodded anyway. They continued moving through the song, which did involve doing a few things to your partner that made Zoe giggle. The song did come to an end, probably not soon enough for Devyn. Soon after came another upbeat song, obviously wanting to take advantage of the high energy in the room.

"Looks like we're drinking punch," said Zoe, taking a breath and fanning herself. "I could use some, I'm quite parched," she was already heading that way, figuring that Devyn was as well. She thought she saw one of Devyn's friends heading away from the punch bowl, but she could've been mistaken. She was, after all, far more focused on getting a glass of punch as soon as possible.

Devyn had expected the swat, perhaps even wanted it to know that Zoe got what she was getting at and that Devyn was being bad. She did not hear those sexy British words calling her dreadful, but the night was still young and she had plenty of time to get that sexy sounding word out of Zoe. They had met in the bathroom, that was where it all started, and in a way Devyn felt like it would be a perfect way for things to 'go all the way’ on. There was also the thought of maybe asking for that break in the bathroom. End things where they began. In a way that was romantic, right? Not that it mattered since with Zoe's power even if Zoe did allow her to take her in the bathroom she could not do all she wanted. Well she could but would end up not feeling most of it and likely to end up by in the infirmary. A place she had already made two trips to ever since she met Zoe and she really didn't want to go back there if she could help it.

There were words about Zoe admitting to not liking boys that had Devyn smirking, tucking that away for later. It was good to hear that Zoe could admit it out loud now. Devyn always knew that Zoe at least liked girls, but she did not know for sure if it was just girls only or both. Devyn was both and would always be with both, yet she was pretty sure she had ended up with more girls then guys. It was just how things worked when you were a super tomboy and guys wanted the cute or sexy girls. Not that she minded at all, so long as she didn't completely go for girls. She would miss having her fun with guys for sure. Now thinking about it she was sort of wondering if she should call up one of her older male friends to meet up with. There was an after party that she could end up going to, but that all depended on Zoe's call. If Devyn went to the after party she knew she was going to take someone to bed and it was most likely not going to be Zoe.

The song ended after what seemed like forever of having to do a few moves over and over. There had been a few you could do with your partner so that made it fun and enjoyable as well. A fast song came on that Devyn felt like she could jam out too but not enough to fully enjoy it like she would at the club. Zoe went with the whole punch suggestion and Devyn followed of course, keeping close and even growled by accident at a guy who walked a little too close. Okay, it was not by accident, but still...he was just to close and Devyn didn't like the guy so he was not allowed near. Devyn was distracted when she was pretty sure she saw her best friend scamper away from the punch bowl but was not sure as she could smell clearly that the punch had been spiked. Not that she was going to say anything to Zoe about it. "It should be really good." Devyn said still fighting to hold back that devious smirk as she moved to get Zoe and herself a cup, handing Zoe her cup first.

"Toast, to what’s going to be a great prom night." Devyn said as she held up her glass and smiled as Zoe. Then proceeding to down her drink. Loving the taste and the feeling of it right away, but man was that strong. She was going to at least end up with a nice buzz from it. "So you are full out lesbian then yes?" Devyn asked bringing the subject back to what Zoe had said out on the dance floor.

"I hope so," said Zoe, taking the punch from Devyn. It smelled quite fruity, though Zoe thought she smelled a hint of something else underneath the fruity smell. Devyn didn't seem to be bothered by it though, and surely Devyn would've said anything if Zoe needed to be worried. Besides, Zoe was quite thirsty, so she joined Devyn in the toast, knocking her glass against Devyn's before raising it to her lips to take a swig.

It burned all the way down, making her pause and draw a hand to her lips. it was then that she remembered that she was, in fact, not wearing gloves for a time. She held her hands out, staring at her fingers, not quite remembering the last time she'd done that. Why hadn't she worn dress gloves? She probably should've. And she was still thirsty, and she figured that maybe having another drink would help with the burning that the first had so she drank it and didn't it seem a little hotter in here?

The question got Zoe to blink, looking up at Devyn. "What? Oh, yes, yes, I believe I am homo--homosecks--homosecksual," Zoe worked her tongue for a few moments, then giggled. "Sorry, I don't usually have such problems with that word." She took another sip of her punch. "Mm, this is quite good, isn't it? I wasn't sure about the burning, but I think I like it," another sip.

Devyn's smirked fully appeared behind her cup as she watched Zoe drink the punch. She had pretty much downed her whole cup already with another gulp that would completely finish it off. Zoe didn't seem to even notice that what she was drinking was not normal punch. Then again how Zoe started to behave could have said otherwise. Devyn's mind now starting to click and wonder if Zoe was a lightweight like her and if she was, she probably was worse. Zoe was not all that built and was pretty small; the contents in the drink probably would flow right on through her and kick in faster then what they would even for Devyn. She would need another cup full in order to actually feel anything besides the small buzz going on. Yet Zoe only had a sip and seemed to be struggling already as she tried to speak to Devyn.

Zoe was even staring at her hands for a moment that Devyn had noticed but did not say anything about it. Just tucking the thought away in the back of her mind as she took the last swig of the punch that was in her cup. "Homosexual." Devyn said, figuring she give Zoe some help with the word that seemed to have tied Zoe's tongue up. It was still slightly shocking to Devyn that Zoe was even admitting it that she in fact just liked girls. She would have liked to hear that Zoe was Devyn sexual more, but worked with it either way. Now she had to be more concerned with Zoe liking other girls when she normally felt that guys were a threat. No, guys were still a threat and Devyn was not all that worried with other girls getting Zoe attention. It might even make the whole taking a break from the relationship easier if Zoe had someone on the side that she liked and possible liked her back.

Another sip and words about how it tasted good and Devyn just nodded with her smirk to the question. "Yes, very good. Would you like another cup?" Devyn asked, feeling like maybe she should not give Zoe more with how Zoe was already acting, but it was just so tempting. Zoe pointed out the burning but took another sip so Devyn figured the burning was not bad enough for Zoe then since she was still drinking. "Have you ever had anything to drink before Zoe? Twenty-one year old drinks I mean." Devyn asked, wondering just how innocent her Zoe was.

Zoe giggled as Devyn said the word, her hand again coming up to cover her mouth, as if afraid to let the little noise slip from between her fingers. She nodded though, willing enough to own it. Devyn seemed almost surprised by this, which struck Zoe as rather surprising. Yes, it had taken her a few weeks, perhaps months, to come out and own it, but so what? She was already a death-dealing mutant, she might as well be a homosexual on top of it. Knowing Devyn though, she was probably more disappointed that Zoe hadn't called herself "Devynsexual" or something.

The question didn't surprise Zoe, at least, not the punch one. She nodded, taking another cup and taking more sips. It tasted quite good overall. Quite. She giggled again, her hand fluttering to wave at herself now. "Why would you ask? Are you thinking of intoxicating me with alcohol, Devyn? Plying at me with drugs? Shame," she giggled again, taking another sip. "Mm, this is good. But, well,' she tapped her fingers on the cup, tilting her head and pursing her lips, "I've had some champagne. My father's European after all; we don't have quite as uptight view on drinking as you Yanks," of course she dipped as far into her British accent for that as she could.

And more drinking. It tasted gooood.

Zoe let out another giggle, making Devyn feel that Zoe must have just been one of those silly drunks, but she could not tell for sure yet. Zoe was going to at least have to get her cup done and possibly have another for Devyn to be sure. Zoe the happy drunk and Devyn the distracted drunk, it would be an odd pairing but if Zoe was going to end up drunk then Devyn was not. Someone had to make sure Zoe made it back to her room okay, even more so if Zoe had never had a drink before. "Good that you are now aware of your sexual preference." Devyn said with a nod, it was good that Zoe had cleared that all up and to think that Devyn was sort of to thank for that. Well more so Zoe since Zoe had been the one to ask Devyn out. That pretty much should have at least told Zoe that she was interested in woman and even more so if she had wanted to kiss Devyn as bad as she wanted to back when they first started going out.

Devyn just kept her smirk as Zoe asked why Devyn would ask such a thing, even teasing Devyn about what Devyn might be thinking about. Oh Zoe, you are just so innocent. Devyn thought to herself as she played with her cup a little as Zoe let out another giggle and was still drinking. "Well it was more so me being curious because reasons." Devyn said, leaving it vague as she started to snicker as Zoe just kept enjoying her drink and didn't seem any the wiser of what she was actually drinking. Man Devyn hoped that Zoe never just drank what anyone just handed her without thinking about what was in it. That could put Zoe in a really bad spot that Devyn didn't even want to think about. Zoe had champagne which was hardly like a real drink, you could still get drunk off of it of course, but nothing like what was probably mixed in the punch bowel.

"Yanks?" Devyn could not help but to laugh at that, loving the fact that Zoe was British even more now. "Well we yanks have a habit of spiking punch bowls at proms and parties just so you know." Devyn said as she moved some of her own hair out of her face and tucked it under her hat a little. Watching Zoe closely to see how her girlfriend would react to that tad bit of information.

Zoe giggled as they reiterated her sexual preference, finding the whole thing just, well, funny, really. She probably would've said so, but she was much more interested in taking another drink. Then she thought she should lean over and give Devyn a little kiss. Mm, Devyn smelled good too. The kiss turned into Zoe sort of rolling her head against her girlfriend's shoulder, giggling a little more. Curious for reasons, more giggling there. Then a little more of a sip of the drink.

"Yanks," Zoe repeated as Devyn repeated the word, dipping even further into her accent, making it as heavy as she possibly could. "And you jolly well would spike your---" she began, purposefully using the stupid English slang before realizing what Devyn was saying. Zoe gasped then, and reached over to punch Devyn. She meant it to be light, like she was known to do, but Zoe was a little, well, not herself. So it might have been a bit on the hard side, if, well, hard for Zoe.

"You are trying to get me drunk!" she said, pointing a finger. Then she lowered the hand to take a sip of her drink, doing so archly, as if to say "serves you right" without really thinking about it. She giggled then, and leaned over to nibble on Devyn's ear. "That's not even fair," she moaned into it, probably talking too loudly. "It tastes good and I'm thirsty," she took another drink, "but you're probably just thinking of getting under my skirt," she pointed at Devyn, keeping her finger for a bit before letting it slide, giggling some more.

Zoe leaned in to give Devyn a kiss but just ended up tilling her head on Devyn's shoulder which she did find amusing. Zoe was shorter than her so it probably did take some effect to reach Devyn's lips when she was standing up straight. Yet what Zoe was wearing on her feet probably would help with any reaching and plus Devyn had a habit to automatically lean down a little when she figured she was going to get something that she liked. Some more giggling and sipping, good thing Zoe had a cute giggle so Devyn was not bothered by it at all. Zoe repeated the word back, keeping that wonderful accent and it seemed to get even heavier as Zoe used the word jolly which had Devyn chuckling again at just the word choice. It was just so cute and still pretty sexy to hear it all. Even as Zoe seemed to finally work it out Devyn wore her devious smirk and watched Zoe closely, unable to take her eyes off her girlfriend.

There was a punch, which Devyn had expected, but never at that kind of force. It hurt, but not like super bad but more so that she could like feel it. "Abusive drinker huh?" Devyn teased as she patted the spot where she had been punched and kept her smirk as Zoe pointed out what Devyn had of course been trying to do. She did not deny it, but nor was she going to admit it as Zoe seemed to still be drinking regardless of her realization. There was a giggle and then that cruel move of Zoe nibbling on her ear, which had Devyn letting out a low growl. She had warned Zoe so if Zoe was going to be bad then she was just going to have to get her back for it and that was her plan. The moan was just the big enough push that Devyn needed and had her reaching out to grab Zoe by the waist and pull her girlfriend close to her body, that low and possessive growl slipping out once again.

"In this case I'm thinking about getting under that dress you are wearing." Devyn said as she looked at Zoe with her green eyes, clearly still giving Zoe a warning.. There was pointed and Devyn moved as if she was going to bite the finger but instead went to kiss Zoe's neck; tempted to lick it, hell she was going to. Moving just the tip of her tongue to lick Zoe neck if Zoe had not gotten her way out of Devyn's hold. Then planning on letting Zoe go and get herself some more punch and possible some more for Zoe.

Zoe giggled at the idea of her being an abusive anything, but she kept the thoughts to herself. Mostly because she'd already expressed herself and this punch was really quite good. She took another sip of it, humming to herself, not quite matching the music. There had been some pulling and Zoe let out a little squeak as she pressed against Devyn. She smiled coyly up at her girlfriend, only to titter slightly as Devyn insisted that she was attempting to get under Zoe's dress. Zoe thought she heard a warning or saw something in her girlfriend's eyes, but she wasn't exactly in the best position to say or do anything about it.

A kiss on her neck had Zoe moaning, throaty and loud for a moment, only to giggle. She then saw Devyn extended a tongue and shook her head. Her fingers darted out, displaying remarkable agility as she pinched the outstretched tongue between her digits, pressing lightly. She slid her fingers a bit, spreading the paralysis around until she was certain she'd numbed her girlfriend's tongue.

"You're supposed to behave," she said archly, again sounding quite British. she brought her other hand up and wagged a finger in admonishment toward her girlfriend, adding a few nods. See how well Devyn could flirt and do whatnot when her tongue was as numb as it could possibly be.

Zoe seemed to have been off in her own little world, drinking, and humming to her own little tune or at least was off on what was playing. It was no big deal to Devyn either way, and she in fact found it amusing on some level that this was how Zoe was after having had something to drink. The squeaks were always cute and Zoe even pressed against Devyn's body when she had pulled her closer. There was a cute coy smile but Zoe was clearly missing the warning that Devyn was trying to give her. She was trying to be good, but if Zoe was just going to tease her then she was not at fault for what was going to end up happening. She could not help herself after all. Even less when Zoe let out a moan at the kiss to her neck that was pretty loud compared to the level of sound Zoe normally made. There was a giggle following it after so Devyn assumed Zoe was just pretending to be over the top or something.

Zoe had moved pretty quick and had a grip on Devyn’s tongue which was odd, but she had it happen to her before. The only thing that made it different was it was Zoe grabbing her tongue to stop her instead of encourage her and that power of Zoe's that already was making her tongue tingle. Not helped by the fact that not only had Zoe kept a hold of it but she moved her fingers a bit. Good thing I don't have a bad gag reflex. Devyn thought to herself as she tried to tug away to get out of Zoe's hold, her tongue ending up paralyzed either way and she was not going to be able to say anything without difficulty. There were words again about how Devyn was supposed to behave. So not fair. Zoe started it and yet Devyn was the one left not able to feel her tongue and having to wipe her mouth to prevent any drooling or anything like that.

Devyn just let out a low growl at Zoe but didn't even bother to try and say anything as she just went to get herself a little bit more punch and drink it. Green eyes looking around the gym for a moment to see if she knew anyone else that was here and who they decided to end up going to prom with.

Zoe giggled at the growl, moving to take another drink of the punch. It just tasted so good and felt all warm and stuff. Actually, Zoe was pretty sure she was at least tipsy, and staying upright and moving seemed to be rather difficult at the moment. Zoe kept tripping or wiggling or something, which just  made her giggle all the more. She turned to tell Devyn all about it, but found Devyn looking about. Zoe frowned and poked her girlfriend in the side.

"Hey, you're with me tonight, remember?" she said, moving to rise up on her toes and give Devyn a kiss on the cheek. "You're my prince," she practically rubbed against Devyn now, pausing to giggle a little. "So stop looking around; you'll hurt my feelings," she pouted then, reaching up to tap Devyn on the nose. "Plus, if you keep being all pouty, then you won't get to take me to bed tonight."

The implication being, of course, that she was going to. Zoe did plan on spending the night with Devyn tonight; it was prom after all, and Zoe did not want Devyn to wind up in anyone's bed but hers, especially not tonight. As far as she was concerned, they could do just about anything short of, well, what she really, really wanted to do. Stupid Dr. Campbell hadn't worked up his stupid preventative thingy yet. Which meant that Zoe couldn't have what she really wanted.

It was worth mentioning that Zoe was hanging on Devyn while she thought all this, her hand stroking the other's side, sometimes crawling up a bit to give Devyn another kiss here and there as well. Clearly Zoe had decided to cling and Devyn was just going to have to deal with it.

Oh he is cute. Devyn thought to herself as her mind did start to wonder who she was going to end up in bed with tonight. Most likely it was going to be one of her older friends since she didn't want to have to deal with the possible drama that could result in the morning after someone felt that they only did something because they had a little too much to drink. There was a poke to her side that had her looking back at Zoe as she saw the frown. Then came words about how she was with Zoe tonight followed by a kiss to her cheek. Devyn was tempted to ask if Zoe was meaning like the whole night when Devyn was just thinking just for prom since she knew she was not going to get out of Zoe what she really wanted so was going to get it somewhere else like usual. There was rubbing against and a little giggle as Zoe called Devyn her prince again. Stop looking around or she would hurt Zoe feelings. A tap on the nose and then words that had Devyn blinking for a moment.

Like take her to bed, or like take her to bed? Devyn questioned herself for a moment, tempted to ask but her tongue was still on the numb side so she was not going to risk trying to talk yet still. Tucking Zoe in was fine and all but did Zoe really think Devyn was going to be able to handle just going to sleep without any fun on a night like this? When everything just aligned so perfect that it was practically a must that she got what she wanted. She didn't know what Zoe had planned but Devyn knew what she was thinking of doing after making several calls. Yet Devyn was having a hard time even keeping focus on others while Zoe clung to her. A hand stroking her side and even crawling in a way to give Devyn a kiss. This was unfair, so very unfair. How was she expected to be good at this rate?

"..." Devyn opened her mouth to say something but instead just chewed on her tongue a little and set down her cup so she could slide her hands into her pockets. If she was going to keep her hands to herself then she was going to need some pocket help. Worse case she as just going to have to put some space between her and Zoe because this really was not fair at all. This was cruel and Devyn was already struggling to keep her mind on better thoughts so she would not slip up. Puppies. Kittens. Naps. Nice yummy steak. Devyn thought to herself trying to think about pretty much anything besides what her mind and a little bit of what her body was thinking and wanting.

"You look distracted," said Zoe, tapping Devyn again. She placed her hands on either of Devyn's shoulders and hoisted herself up. Then she kissed her way up to Devyn's ear, which she nibbled before a bit before whispering: "You really didn't think we weren't going to do anything tonight, did you? It's prom," she then gave Devyn another wink, before breaking down into giggles.

The giggling Zoe released her girlfriend, turning back to the punch. She took another glass, taking a quick swig of it. Her head had started to spin a little now and there seemed to be a lot of flashing colors and lights and stuff, which was kinda fun. Zoe giggled and then realized that a slow song was playing. her eyes widened for a moment, and then she turned back to her girlfriend, "It's a slow song! we need to slow dance with each other!" she said. She grabbed Devyn's sleeve to drag her toward the dance floor, then realized that she still had a glass of punch in her hand. Giggling again, Zoe turned, set the punch down on the table, and then went back to dragging Devyn toward the dance floor.

Soon enough, she'd be getting into position, staring up at Devyn with a very warm smile.

"A b-" Devyn's tongue felt at least well enough to try speaking again but there was another tap that was followed by Zoe's hands on her shoulder and hoisting herself up. Good thing Devyn was standing in a good position to not knock herself off balance. Lips made their way up to Devyn's ear as she was torn between throwing Zoe down on the table to teach Zoe a lesson about teasing her and just pulling away from Zoe to do her best to remain good. She just opted to remain still, still and to take a very deep and slow breath as she bit her lip. Daaaaaammmmnnnnn. Devyn thought to herself, even trying to hold herself back from just outright cursing at just pretty much everything that Zoe was doing. Even the whisper and nibbling was not helping because it was in her ear and she already felt like her legs needed a break. Words that had Devyn blinking again and then blushing just a tad.

She honestly did think they were not going to do anything and was not going to put Zoe at blame for it or anything. They could go pretty far but not as far and Devyn wanted and she was wondering if she could handle a night of super teasing. The night was pretty much all just super teasing thus far. There was a wink and then a break of giggle and Devyn just remained still. Her mind already in a dark place and she was doing her best to just keep her hands to herself, not make a naughty comment, and it was just oh so very difficult. Zoe was getting more punch, which Devyn was half torn between stomping Zoe and letting her have at it. If more drinking meant more teasing then she was going to have to stop Zoe, but Zoe was having fun so did she have a right to try and stop that? Even if it was making her suffer in a way?

Devyn jumped a little at Zoe exclaiming that a slow song was playing, that Devyn did realize but thought Zoe was busy with drinking. Devyn didn't even get to say anything before Zoe was tugging on her, almost dragging in a way to go to the dance floor. Yet stopping to drop off her drink and then going right back to dragging Devyn out into the dance floor. At least Zoe was enthused and she seemed to still know how to stands and everything for a slow song. Devyn did the same; hesitating for a moment before placing her hands at the proper spots, but just a little higher to at least avoid some of the temptation that was there. "It's been a while since I slowed dance, but I promise to not step on your toes." Devyn pointed out as she gave a small smile to Zoe's warm one. Almost leaning in for a quick kiss but stopped herself and instead focused on the music to flow with it and Zoe better.

"Safe to assume you are having fun right?" Devyn asked, figuring it didn't hurt to make conversation but if Zoe wanted to slow dance in silence she would be happy to as well.
