POWER INFO:
Hidden in each wrists under a flap of skin, is a half inch hole housing a tendril in each arm. The tendril is just under a half inch thick and is seven feet long when full deployed. The tendrils are a glossy red appearance giving them the look of wet blood. The Red glossy part is actually a thin armor giving the tendrils strength much like hope with similar durability. Well the ships can be swung hard enough to bruise someone they are not strong enough o break bone. They can also be used to trip people or wrap around an arm.
The thin red armor on the tendrils can be retracted nearly three feet, revealing a purple mass of nerve endings. This nerve cluster is a mutants form of the nerve that tells relative position and has Mutated to send out pulses like radar waves. These radar waves return to Jessica after a minute or two and tells her how many people are nearby and how many of those are mutants as well as the relative distance of them, within a 150 foot radius of her. The red armor on the tendrils however must be retracted for the radar to work at all, when exposed they are much more vulnerable to attack. When sued to detect Mutants the two tendrils will stand almost straight up in the air from her wrists.
Solid objects will stop her power from working, so it can not see through barriers. This also make shigher more exposed locations ideal for her power's use. Also where the Radar can tell how many mutants are nearby. The power can not tell her exactly who is and is not a mutant but she can make guesses based on distance. The power is also mentally and physically draining and to use it Jessica must be in good health and condition or the effective range drops to one third it's normal radius. The two tendrils are made to work together and so if one is cut off the other will not work. Jessica can also feel any damage to the tendrils at all just like it were a leg or an arm.
Well the actual radar pulse takes a minute or two Jessica's mentally might take much longer to process the information she has received. The more crowded an area the more time Jessica's mind takes to process the information received. SO to the mental and physsicle strain she can only use her radar about three times per hour.
GENERAL APPEARANCE:
Jessica is 5'7 and on the athletic side. She has natural long blond hair which can often be seen up in a bun braid or curled. Her eyes are dark green Her makeup is always tastefully done and usually work appropriate. She tends to favor a business look she uses for work. She also has a small white scar on the back of her right wrist from when she was a kid. She usually has a kind look to her as well.
MUST HAVE APPAREL:
Normally dressed in a suit or dress for work or some other nice clothing she is not really stuck to any one piece of clothing. However she does have a love of shoes and loves silk and satin fabrics for her blouses.
PERSONALITY: Jessica loves kids and got into teaching for that very reason. Kind and understanding she tries to help kid's where she can. SHe will beat around the bush to try and spare someones feelings if she thinks their better off. SHe is a warm and moral person who almost always obeys the law. She believes in looking past the outside of someone and judging them by what they do.Prone to keeping her own emotions to herself to keep others from worrying about her, as she does not want others to go out of their way to help her.
She is afraid of bug's and will either scream or crush it depending on the size and availability of things to crush it with. She is also less then a fan of mice and snakes however can tolerate them if she has to. Her dislike of bug's and other critters has made her a very clean person and both her house and classroom are kept very clean.
In the classroom she can be tougher, yelling at kid's for talking in her class or not doing their homework. This is more because she cares however for the students education and well being. Well not a technophobic she does tend to keep dated electronics such an old flip hone.

CHILDHOOD: As a child XIlx would never wait to get out of class and go home and watch cartoons She seemed to hate school and the very idea of going. Her childhood was a peaceful and loving one with two parents who loved her deeply and spent as much time as they could with their only child. However at age 6 they moved as her father was on the ambassador staff to Brittan. Jessica found herself growing up in London and made a good number of freindy quite quickly.
ADOLESCENCE:
Her mutation manifested at around thirteen. Jessica screamed very loudly when she saw the change on her wrists. Scared and terrified of what was happening as random images would appear in her head always of a large circle with blue dot's and somtimes a red one. SHe ahd no idea she was detecting the humans around her as well as the brittish recruiter theat had been sent for her. She got through the next few days with lot's of help from her parents. It was then while only just realizing she had some control over the tendrils a man approached her about a School for gifted Mutants and explained what she was. She began attending a British school for Mutants which she graduated from with perfect attendance and nearly straight A's. In her second year the boy she was dating was killed on accident by a pyro mutant. It took her a year to get past the trauma inflicted by the incident. It was this incident that made her want to help children, more specifically other mutants, to try and help avoid what had happened. While she did not blame the school for what happoned she did figure their were lot's of mutant's running loose on the streets. It was here she developed a love for history and how it influenced their every day life's, She also learned to hone her ability to detect others.
ADULTHOOD:
AFter Graduation her parents moved back to the United states and set up home in North Dakota, and she went with them despite being old enough to stay. Jessica had grown up in brittain nearly her entire life and so felt sharp culture shock coming back the US. By then her outlook on life had changed and went to collage to become a teacher. Though she graduated high in her class she was unable to find work doing anything more then being a substitute teacher, due to a high number of teachers in the area. Disappointed she began looking for job's in other area's of the country as well. She was beginning to give up hope when she contacted a counceler at her old school in Brittan who gave her the name of Belfonte Academy. When she found out about Belfonte Academy and the students they taught she jumped at the chance to try and teach there. With her parents encouragement and some cash she booked a plane flight and Excited as they had an opening she packed her bags and took a room at an inn in the local town. Not a Teacher yet she looked over the small town and found it charming.
