Devyn did not forget that Zoe had asked her what her power was, even if she had explained it to Zoe, she never really showed her. It was only fair really to show Zoe her powers, because a few of her friends that were also mutants had seen her other form. Zoe was her girlfriend, and even if they were in an open relationship, Zoe still should have seen what Devyn’s power was. She was a tad bit nervous if she was being honest, which was why she nervously rubbed at her father’s ring that she always wore. It was a bit late in the afternoon and thankfully it was a partly cloudy day which still meant there were shadows but Devyn didn’t have to worry about a blinding sun bothering her too much. She still had some shades on however, wearing a pair of blue jeans, a white lone sleeve shirt, a red and black tie, and combat boots. Her necklace with her keys on them was hidden away in her shirt, and the leather bands that were on her right wrist like they always, were covered by her sleeves.
She had just showed up at Zoe’s dorm to pick her girlfriend up, having only sent Zoe a text saying: I’m coming to pick you up. With that Devyn did just that, knocking on her girlfriend’s room door, waiting for her to get the door and just telling her to follow. It was given as a command and didn’t really come off as her normal friendly tone that Devyn typically had. She was not sure why she felt so edgy about showing Zoe, but she did. Not even checking to make sure Zoe was following as she proceeded deeper off the school grounds, passing the lake and heading towards the woods. Only stopping when she got to an area not quite in the woods and still pretty close that you could see the lake. She rubbed her ring for a moment before going to turn around and hopefully face Zoe, who she just assumed would have followed her.
“Sorry I’m being all…weird. I just wanted to show you my power but…hmm…I think I’m scared.” Devyn admitted with a slight nervous chuckle. Why was she scared? Because she didn’t want to scare Zoe, didn’t want the other girl to fear what she was going to show her. Normally Devyn didn’t care but when it was someone that she had counted as a good friend and now her girlfriend, she was just worried. That and Zoe was her first girlfriend that she was showing her power to. Other had just been friends with benefits, one night stands, or she just never really showed people her power unless they asked and they too were a mutant. Either way, she was…well nervous and clearly was not doing a good job at hiding it.
