So, no originally Jack had no interest whatsoever in going to the camp, last year he was first to go to it because he was a problem student and they thought it’ll do him some kind of good to out and about and grow some general appreciation for the wonder of nature all around him…
...All he really got for his troubles is the knowledge that he did have an estranged brother and bruises all over his face for his troubles…
That coupled with the fact that he hated the outdoors with a passion so, he wanted nothing to do with this trip. The last thing he needed was around other people, he just wanted to stay in his own safe bubble forever, the last thing he wanted was being around others.
He tried to tell his beloved brother that, in very reasonable and calm tone of voice, really he did the sensible thing at least in his mind anyway….
So naturally the next thing Jack knew Taylor was flinging him over his shoulder and forcing him into his car….
Fucking prick….
But never fear because Jack had a plan….He would continue walking in the woods until he found Taylor’s Cabin and assuming that Taylor at least had the decency to pack his bat he would beat him until they got into the car and took Jack home
Unfortunately enough unbeknown to Jack he wasn’t alone

Piper had known exactly why she'd readily agreed to take part in the Academy sanctioned camping trip. She wanted to get out, literally, and see at least a bit of the world around her. Even though the car ride up to the campsite had been arduous and uncomfortable (she had to ride up with one of the staffers in the backseat of their car with a blanket over her head) she was happy to be out in the open air.
There was no hiding the wide smile that was plastered upon Piper's face as she wandered around the campsite. It had taken a couple hours of laying down in her bunk to let the nausea from the trip pass, but once she felt better her heart soared just from being able to freely walk about. There was a calming, liberating peace that settled over her the likes of which she'd never experienced before. There were no worries, no concerns, only the wind rustling the leaves and the earthy smells of the forest.
In her travels, Piper caught a familiar, and curious, sight. Her head tilted faintly as she watched Jack from a distance making his way into the woods with intent showing plainly on his face. She didn't want to immediately assume he was up to no good but she probably should have known better. With a quick glance around to make sure no one was watching her in the way she was watching Jack, she hurried across the campsite, approaching Jack with caution.
"Jack?" She said, her voice soft as to not startle him or attract attention. Piper was well aware the look on Jack's face usually meant trouble of some sort and with other students and staff members all moving about setting up the various parts of the camp it was difficult to get anywhere without someone being nearby. "Is everything alright?" She asked. "You look... troubled..."
