Since Charlotte had lost her gift, she had felt relieved. The Bellefonte officals had assumed that she would have physcological effects to losing her gift, increased anxiety, depression, all the things that other poor mutants had suffered upon losing their powers to SPRITE but Charlotte felt as if it had been a weight lifted from her shoulders. She no longer suffered crippling migraines or risked heavy bleeding to the brain because her gift was far too out of her own control, she was free from the thing that had put her in the hospital, the thing that had forced Doctor's to put her into an induced coma to prevent bleeding to her brain that'd eventually kill her and the thing that had caused her to be ostrecised by her father and even now her original church.
Life still had its struggles, she still suffered anxiety but even that was getting more managable now her gift was not around. Charlotte was happy that her gift was gone and to say she was struggling without it was a lie, but the girl knew that others were not as lucky. It is why she had taken up the oppurtunity to meet another SPRITE survivor, another ex-mutant who was now without their gift but needed someone to talk to; Bellefonte had given a handful of ex-students who'd lost their gifts due to Sprite emails and phone numbers too one another so that meetings could be arranged and they could find solace in people who actually understood.
Now Charlotte sat, patiently waiting inside the coffee shop named Cool Beans in downtown Kaspelli, longingly staring out the window as she attempted to distract her nerves from something other than meeting Luxanna. The two had spoken via email a few times before but today would be their first offical meeting and to say the least Charlotte was nervous. She knew very little people in town, and she'd been living there for almost 10 years, and meeting new people was far from her fortay. Her attention was drawn from the window by the sound of the door at the far end of the coffee shop opening and closing, the sound was stark against the ambience that filled the air.
