The day was warm and sunny, and Silvia decided to venture outside. She usually spent little time in the courtyards since her powers made foliage go crazy; while the winter lasted, she did not want to force plants to grow and bloom, just to wither in the cold once she'd walked away. But now that everything was ready to bloom anyway, she felt free to go and enjoy the colors of spring, and, as her mother said, "get a little sun on her face" (she had been pale as pale can be).
Walking outside, Silvia first carefully glanced around to see if anyone else was nearby. While there was some students around, none of them got too close, or seemed to care about the blonde girl standing around. She sighed and closed her eyes, turning her face to the sun and soaking in the warmth. The air was clear, and she managed to make herself relax as she took a step forward.
She found a spot for herself under a tree. Glancing up, she could see small, bright green leaves unfurling, and buds hidden on the tips of the branches. With a small smile, she allowed herself to let go of her worries, and she started singing in a soft voice. It was a Hungarian folk song about the spring and the flowers, and as her voice carried, the buds began to bloom, and dandelions started popping their heads up around her in a neat circle stretching to the edge of her power range. It was certainly a strange sight to behold, but for once Silvia did nor care.

Emily was brooding. There wasn't any particular reason, or understandable cause behind her childish anger. It was just there. It was just one of those days where she bit anybody's head off that approached. So she'd taken to sitting under a tree, with her headphones looped around her brunette hair, blocking out the outside world, sketching things that caught her eye aggressively into her art book.
Emily heard a faint humming sound, that could only be somebody or a freaking bird singing and it ticked her off a little, she tried to re-focus on the music in her ears, and quickly refocused on drawing the trees and plants around her. She liked nature well enough, it was nice being outside. It was just now that the sun had come out and it wasn't below freezing temperature other students were actually outside.
She leaned against the tree, clad in skinny jeans and a red sleeveless top, not bothered by the brisk temperature or spring breeze. She watched as plants bloomed around a tree near her, gradually expanding out. It was quite a pretty thing to behold. Only, as they came closer to her area, and encroached on her safe space her mood darkened again slightly, and they ones that neared her tree began to build frost and wither. She blinked, not realising she'd unintentionally expanded her cold zone.

Silvia sat under the tree, enjoying the effects of her powers. She hummed to herself, watching the low-hanging branches come into full bloom, and the flowers in the soft spring grass looking like a rich, lush carpet. She was so engrossed in it, allowing herself to let her guard down, that she only noticed the other girl when the frost bit into the edge of her impromptu flower garden.
Silvia's eyes followed the trail of frost - it was not that cold, why would frost be suddenly on the ground? - until she looked straight at the girl under the nearby tree, with her headphones and a strange look on her face. Did she... make the frost? Why would she do that? Silvia folded in on herself, realizing that not only was she not alone, but that her powers seemed to annoy someone else.
"I'm sorry..." she muttered, wishing she could rein her powers in. More flowers opened as she spoke "I didn't mean to bother you."
