TWENTY-FOUR //MALE//PANSEXUAL// SNAKE MANIPULATION //COLLEGE STUDENT & SIDE-EFFECTS SPECIALISTS//GODFREY GAO
POWER INFO: Snake Manipulation
He can communicate verbally or telepathically to snakes; occasionally with pheromones he can give off, with the pheromone making a snake obey without a choice. With this communication ability is enables him to give snakes commands ranging from fighting for him, sneaking around to gather information, and see locations they are currently at. Since he can connect to a snakes mind he is able to see what they see through their thoughts. The longer a snake is around him the more willing it is to obey the commands he gives them, even if it means sacrificing themselves or doing something out of their natural nature.
For speaking verbally to snakes, they understand any spoken language (so no, the user does not speak in hisses and odd words) and telepathically works the same way. The snakes can only communicate back to the user telepathically for obvious reasons. He is still working on controlling the pheromone part and thus far has been unable to master it or control when he lets off certain pheromones. He also has a faster reaction time due to working with snakes for so long, but nothing like dodging a bullet.
Limitations/Drawbacks:
He can’t control all snakes right off the bat, since snakes have personality and might not like him right away. (meaning with snakes he is just meeting they could or could not obey him, however the longer he is around them the more likely they are to obey his absolute word)
He is not immune to snakes poison, so if he gets bit he would go through the symptoms any other human would. (good thing he makes anti-venoms)
Cant sense snakes he does not have a bond with, so can be snuck up on.
Can only communicate/control with a snake he can see, unless he has a strong bond with them.
Can’t communicate/control a snake larger than 5ft.
Can’t communicate/control a snake smaller than 1ft.
Can’t create snakes, can only manipulate actual living snakes.
Can’t control mutants with snake physiology.
He occasionally lets off a pheromone that smells sweet to humans (oddly enough that specifics persons favorite smell, so each person smells something different), but also attracts snakes to him in a not so good way. Since sometimes the snakes want to hurt him and the people around him, or crawl all over him and the people around him. Thankfully the pheromone issue does not affect snakes he has a bond with, but any other snake in a certain radius is coming for him and the people around him.
GENERAL APPEARANCE:
With hair that looks jet black to a mix of dark blue mixed with black that goes about eye level in the front and gets longer towards the back. Thick hair that is easy to run your hands through and style just by pushing it one way, where it will stay. He recently got his hair cut to keep it mostly out of his face. He has really dark brown eyes that sometimes appear to black and do in fact turn black when he uses his power. Seiji is 6' 4" with a lanky build; but after some working out and just already having a bit of muscle on him he has built up. He thanks having to carry around a very heavy four foot Boa for the muscle. looking to be just average in muscle tone but is in fact pretty strong. He has paler skin as if he only just got enough sun to have a light tint/tan to him. He tends to stay well shaven but occasionally has a bit of stumble going one but never a full out beard. Recently allowing his beards to grown out along his jaw line but still keeps it well under control.
MUST HAVE APPAREL:
Seiji tends to wear pants, but will wear short so long as they have deep pockets on them, for his snakes and personal object to be put in. He tends to wear mostly long sleeve type shirts year-round, but on the occasion that he wears shot sleeves he makes sure to have some kind of hoodie or jacket on that has long sleeves. He always has a belt on, even if he wears it loosely with them just barely keeping his pants on his waist. One last piece of apparel he has to wear is one of his snakes. Not like he literally is wearing them, but more so at least one of them is hiding on his person at all times. That main snake being Akiko; who he literally has to give a stern talking to when he needs her to not cling to him when he is showering or going to bed. He always has a small knife on him, just in case he comes across a dangerous snake that won’t obey and intends to hurt someone.
PERSONALITY:
With his power over snakes Seiji can’t help but to love them, so long as they are not trying to kill him or other people. If they are well he still loves them but won’t hesitate to kill them or have one of his snakes kill them. Due to his love of snakes and a nice sum of peoples fear over them he tends to not keep friends long since there is always at least one of his snakes on him (not always by choice). He does not like and can’t stand spiders, no matter what size. If he sees a spider he is either going to kill it or make the nearest escape out of a room; even if that means out a window.
Even with people having a fear of snakes or him when he attracts them; he is still a pretty friendly guy. Going up to anyone who is by themselves and starting up a conversation so long as he is not busy. He likes to help people out in what ways he can and is very much a people person. However Seiji is very nosey, meaning he can ask a lot of questions. Sometimes he is view as creepy due to the questions he asks, but he generally is just doing it for the intent of knowledge since he greatly enjoys research and doing experiments. Experiments being anything from something going on in a lab or out with people, from them knowing about it to not knowing about it. When he gets really excited about a topic he talks really fast.
Another very important little bit off information that should be known about how Seiji is that because he is curious he tends to spy in a way. Mostly his snakes do his dirty work, but if he has time and the ‘job’ is within his capabilities he will do it. Once he has an objective he will make sure to obtain photos, reading material, and pretty much anything he can to help him with his research. As for personal space, he does not even know what that is at times. If he is standing and you and he are talking, expect him to literally be inches away from you and quite possibly not move back unless you bring up the fact that he is too close or push him back a little. Careful with the pushing back because sometimes his snakes can’t tell if you are being aggressive or not and don’t always give a warning hiss before they strike.
EXTRA QUIRK:

CHILDHOOD: June 21 in Kitakyushu, Japan was where and when Seiji Ieyasu was born. Sadly the little Seiji would not even have the chance to remember what anyone who shared his blood looked like. He would not even remember what his mother looked like, because he would be given away. He could not really hold a grudge towards his mother for giving him away, she had been shunned by her family for getting pregnant at a young age and to a less then accepted partner in her parent’s eyes. On top of that the man who had said he loved her and was father to Seiji was gone as soon as she had gotten halfway through her pregnancies. So he was put up for adoption when he was born.
Being up for adoption was a bit of a process, especially because a family in America had wanted him. The Lockard’s being a pretty wealthy family with already a boy by the name of Brody, but wanted another son. Amy unable to have another child after complication when giving birth to Brody, so her and her spouse Maxwell went with adoption. It was when Brody was six that his family brought home Seiji who was two at this point. Growing up it was clear that Brody did not like his little brother and had made it clear that Seiji was adopted. Other than the constant hate from his older adoptive brother, growing up was pretty normal.
His parents cared for him, he went to school, did his best to make them happy, and got straight As and took the hardest class. Having always felt that he had to work extra hard and know everything there was to know in order to keep his adoptive parents liking him, since Brody said they would stop loving him at some point.
ADOLESCENCE: Sadly Brody was going to end up being right about the Lockard parents no longer loving him. When he was between the ages of eleven and twelve he came into his mutant power in a big way. One his way home from their prep school and trying to keep up with Brody like normal on their walks home, snakes started to appear. A lot of snakes and they were following Seiji who had no clue was going on and was pretty scared at first. Brody immediately freaked out and ran away; leaving Seiji to protect himself from the unsought of snakes. However the snakes didn’t attack him, but merely gather and started to climb all over the child. Venomous and non-venomous snakes linger around the boy for hours, keeping him away from home; since he could not move with all the weight, and worrying his parents.
Who when they found him were in a mix of worry for him but at the same time fear for they did not understand why snakes were gathering around him. What made it worse was the fact that Seiji was talking to them, because he could hear words being spoken to him in his head. It hurt at first with so many voices but the snakes picked up to speak one at a time or not speak at all unless he talked back to them. It was quite a shock for some of the residents and rumors where quickly spreading, only hushed up by money being dished out. A recruiter was quick to show up and take Seiji away do to the great exposure risk. The Lockard’s not even hesitating and practically begging for Seiji to be taken away, which hurt him a lot.
Due to the mass freak out with how his adoptive parents and the community he lived in had, Seiji kind of shut done and became very reclusive. The person who brought him to the school getting the boy a pet snake which he name Ghost and at the time neither of them knew that it was a Boa constrictor. Ghost was the boy’s only friend for a while, carrying the snake around with him, and in fact was able to work on his power and gain a better understanding and control for what he could do. Once he was about fourteen years old he had gotten used to living at the academy and started to open up a lot more, being more friendly, and wanting to learn as much as he could about others, snakes, and his powers. The academy had become his family and time seemed to fly as he passed his classes with high grades, gained a lot of control over his power, and made a few friends along the way.

However he did not go to college right away. Wanting to try and experience few things before going back to school. For a time he worked as a photographer, some freelance acting, art, and music. Trying a little bit of everything and even worked at a pet store, specializing in reptiles, but more specifically with snakes. He enjoyed pretty much everything he did, but felt like there was something missing from his life.
So at the age twenty-two he decided to go to college to further his education, studying in a mix of areas from genetics and medicine. Making anti-venom and creating different kinds of serums to test. Even with taking classes he still felt like he was missing something so sought out advice from the academy which he still made regular and frequent visits to. He quickly found out about a position for a Side-Effect Specialist, which he was quick to practically beg for the job. Seeing as he liked to study the side effect of what venom did to different animals along with what where side effects to medication, that job was perfect for him. It was a way to aid in his class work, help out the school, and help out other mutants. So took up the job, able to manage it along with his college classes and studies.

Seiji squinted at the two large rat in the white cage that sat at his desk in the lab he was working in for extra credit in a class. He had a syringe with a small amount of Blue Krait venom in it. He was here to test a new anti-venom someone had created in order to better combat the venom. He remembered reading somewhere that before the current anti-venom was made there was a fatality rate over 85% and that after being bitten death would occur between six to twelve hours. So many factors contributing to the speed at which the venom would affect its victim. One of these rats was going to be the unlucky one to die, since he was not supposed to use the anti-venom on one to compare. Even still the second rat could also die if the new anti-venom did not work like the current one.
He moved over towards the cage, eyes staring at both the rats, forgetting to blink for a moment until he felt something hit the underside of his chin. It was Akiko, a female Scarlet Kingsnake that was about 1.2ft. She always wanted to be the snake that stuck close to Seiji, she was also the friendliest and the most curious of the snakes he owned. Having hidden away earlier somewhere within his shirt and now had reveled a little of herself to take a peek at what her owner was doing. "They are too big for you to you." Seiji spoke allowed to her, others in the room glancing over to him since they did not see the snake on him, but were slightly use to him talking out loud to himself. Akiko responding back with something about just wanting to pick the right one to die because it was now giving her a funny look. Seiji just rolled his eyes and gave a slight chuckle but did in fact take the right one and inject it with the venom. Intently watching the rat and writing down everything he saw.
