”Wait wait wait. I have a dorm mate?”
Chris had gotten far used to having the entire block to himself. Everything in the main lounge was essentially his; from the stacks of movies to the number of snacks scattered around the kitchen. He was smart enough to get rid of his beer cans in case the dorm monitor came around. Besides he liked keeping his dorm relatively clean. Except suddenly he found out he wasn’t the only one in the dorm anymore. Although that was hardly going to change Chris’s habits as he walked out of his room in his Wolverine pants. He was shirtless agin mainly because he didn’t care. It was still his dorm, so his new roommate would have to deal. However he wasn’t really looking to go out of his way to introduce himself. Instead he headed for the couch and flopped onto it with a thud! After that he was simply surfing through the channels and drinking a can of diet coke. Although he heard the door to the dorm open and glanced over, raising an eyebrow.
”So you’re the new rookie huh? Wish the school gave me a bit more of a fucking warning. I got the email right when I woke up.” He snorted and looked his roommate over. ”Well who’re you then? Name’s Chris. Welcome to the dorm I guess. I think I’ve seen you around before.”

"Yes because you obviously had so much to do to prepare for someone's presence." Morrigan rolled her eyes and looked at the guy.
"Also not a rookie. I'm Morrigan LaFayette, and I'm twenty four. In other words, old enough that I'd be graduated by now if they weren't making sure I stayed trapped on campus." She shrugged. She took in the sight of the Wolverine bottoms and smirked.
"Good to meet you Chris." The urge to make a joke about the X-Men Sonic Scream or Beast on his boxers was almost overwhelming but she held back.

”Of course! I had to actually put on some damn pants. You know how inconvenient that is for me? Talk about inconsiderate.”
Chris normally wore at least pants whenever he was walking around in the dorm, but the girl didn’t know that. Besides it was too good of a comeback for him to pass up.
"Also not a rookie. I'm Morrigan LaFayette, and I'm twenty four. In other words, old enough that I'd be graduated by now if they weren't making sure I stayed trapped on campus.”
Chris raised an eyebrow and looked Morrigan over with a glance. A cheeky smirk grew on his features.
”So sorry grandma. Maybe they’ll move you to the nursing home soon enough.” Although he looked curious when she mentioned being trapped. ”Trapped? What did they put a shock collar on you or something? Besides, why the hell would they want to trap you here?”
Chris had never heard of a student being actually trapped on campus. Sure he’d heard of the few confined to campus for a while, but “trapped" was a lot stronger.
"Good to meet you Chris.”
He noticed how she glanced down at his pants and raised an eyebrow, folding his arms over his chest.

"Oh you had to put on pants? Well don't stop your odd behaviour on MY count." Huh. Had that come out flirty? She just couldn't pass that opening up was all. Besides, he was cute too. When he mentioned the nursing home, her remorse at the quick comeback disappeared. This guy was obviously the type of person to use witty comebacks. Suddenly Morrigan felt a bit more relaxed around her new dorm-mate she had to admit.
"Nursing home? Noooo have you seen how they treat people? I'd kill someone new to go to jail before I'd let them put me in a nursing home." She rolled her eyes. She wouldn't really, but it sure as hell made a good joke. It also tested the mettle of this guy.
"Which by the way is why I'm trapped on campus. Confined I guess you could say. Re-education bullshit." She shrugged.
"Understandable I guess, but it sucks nonetheless. Enjoy your freedom and watch your step, Bellefonte Academy style."

"Oh you had to put on pants? Well don't stop your odd behaviour on MY count.”
Chris raised an eyebrow and snickered at the slightly flirtatious comment. He wasn’t the best when it came to that sort of banter, but he could easily return with more sarcasm.
”Believe me I won’t, I only did it so you wouldn’t stare too much.”
As they spoke, Chris had to admit he was relaxing a tad around the girl. From the way she spoke he could tell that she was pretty sarcastic. If that was the case then Chris figured there might actually be a chance they’d get along.
"Nursing home? Noooo have you seen how they treat people? I'd kill someone new to go to jail before I'd let them put me in a nursing home.”
Chris raised an eyebrow at her comment, smirking slightly.
”Maybe they’ll put you in a nursing home anyways as punishment then if you hate it so much. I’m sure you’d be right at home, grandma Morri.”
Although he did catch the part she’d mentioned about killing someone new. He wasn’t entirely sure if she’d meant it or not.
"Which by the way is why I'm trapped on campus. Confined I guess you could say. Re-education bullshit. Understandable I guess, but it sucks nonetheless. Enjoy your freedom and watch your step, Bellefonte Academy style.”
Chris regarded her silently for a few seconds before chuckling drily and shaking his head.
”So my roommate is a killer? Somehow I’m not surprised the school did that.” Chris mused, remarkably not as affected by the news. ”What this person do anyways? Forget to bring you the right meds? Maybe the lasagna was too cold?” He teased. ”Also no shit sherlock. Welcome the Bellefonte Academy. Your first clue should’ve been that they forced kids to attend.”

Well he was certainly confident about his equipment. She was just going to ignore that part. He made the grandma comment and she arched an eyebrow.
"This grandma could kick your ass, young'un." Hey if he was going to use the nickname, she was using the advantages. The shadows curled around her arms as she smirked. They were all too eager to jump to her beck and call. His response to her saying about the murder was unexpected though. He just chuckled. This guy was certainly different, taking something like that right in stride.
"The person did nothing. I just killed him because at the time it seemed like a fun idea. My powers come with a hell of a side-effect, and he was caught in the cross-fire." She shrugged.
"Well I wasn't forced. The way I was raised it was an honour to get powers and be brought to one of the schools."
