Vera finally arrived home and while she was only on duty for eight hours that day, she felt as if it couldn't have ended any sooner. Yet, she wasn't in her uniform or any other outfit that usually gave the hint that she had been at work - Well, because, she had put it in resignation today. The good thing about it was that Vera could finally have her mind set on something other than being a police officer, the bad thing was that she didn't know how her wife would take it.

She hadn't told Devyn yet.

Hence why she was now leaning against the door after walking inside their home, and shutting it behind her. She did not know how her wife would react or what she'd say, nor did she know how to prep for a reaction she wasn't ready for. The telekinetic took a deep breath and waited for a few seconds before announcing her arrival. Which was usually pointless considering that Devyn could either hear or smell her before she even opened her mouth to speak.

After finally pushing herself up off the door, she made her way to the living room, in hopes that her wife was somewhere to be found. "Babe?"

Devyn had been busy on the shared computer in their place, located on the second floor of their loft style apartment. She was finishing up a few tests and logging into an online class that she was not going to pay attention to. What was the point when you could just re-watch the class recording later? Plus it was not an important class and it was the only one she had today so she didn’t even bother to go on campus and spent her day at home. She made sure to clean up around the place, picked up anything that they needed in terms of groceries, and even made the bed.

It had been a boring day for her overall, but she had her wife returning home at some point that would hopefully turn that around. AS per usual, she could tell her wife was home, before she even opened the door. Her sensitive ears, picking up the footsteps going to their door and stopping outside before the sound of keys soon followed. Dev was quick to Finnish up what she was doing so she could hide to tackle her wife when she would come in. However, when Vera entered, she didn't keep walking, and had to be standing still since Devyn didn't hear her footprints across the floor?

That alone already had her wondering what was up, but assumed Vera had just a hard day at work, so she didn't think too much of it as she headed for the stairs to the first level. Devyn had just about reached the bottom of the steps when her wife finally did say her name and started to move again. "Welcome home. How was your day?" Devyn asked as she greeted her wife with a warm smile. Her body moving towards her significant other to pull her in for a quick hung and a kiss, as she did every time Vera came home. She noticed Vera was not in her standard clothing options that she normally was in when she came home, but she didn’t think much about it for the time being.
