"So it's a new one, huh?"
"Yeah. Supposedly she's got a good rep."
Riley raised an eyebrow at her walking companion, heading toward the entrance to the mansion in order to meet this new guard Riley'd heard they were getting. Hearing it was a girl surprised her, but not unpleasantly. "'Bout time we had some more girls here. We need that kind of intelligence." Riley replied with a smirk. Her partner rolled his eyes and snorted.
"Ha ha, very funny. I'm just hoping she lives up to this reputation of hers." He said. Now it was Riley's turn to roll her eyes.
"Relax, Lucy. We only pick the best." Riley stated, earning a huff from Lucian. "Besides, if you really care that much then you can be the one to test her." Riley offered. However Lucian wasn't taking the bait and instead shook his head and tabbed Riley's shoulder with a finger.
"Oh no, don't you go dumping this on me. You're the one who got assigned to babysit her on her first day. I'm not about to drag someone around all day while holding their hand." He responded. Riley grained and ran her fingers through her hair. Unfortunately he was right. Although she wasn't that put off by it, she still would much rather be doing other things than showing some fresh blood around. However she was a little curious. I mean, this was some random stranger neither Riley nor Lucian had really heard about coming in to protect the Boss. That wasn't something that usually (aka: ever) happened. So part of her was anticipating it. However she was still going to give Lucian hell.
"And here I thought you loved me Lucian. I feel betrayed." Lucian scoffed.
"Mhm. Love is tough. Especially my love. Deal with it." Riley held a serious face for only a few moments before she finally snickered and grinned.
"Best kinda love." She said before patting the man. "I'll see you around. Hopefully this whole thing won't kill me." Riley joked, although she kind of meant it. Lucian only chuckled and left her to her fate while she headed for the entrance. It was around time the new girl was supposed to show. As if on cue the main doors opened and Riley glanced over, raising an eyebrow. So here was the new girl huh?
